Malley's Chocolate is my all time favorite candy store. My favorite are their dark chocolate carmellow eggs which are usually available around Easter. The North Olmsted store was my first introduction to Malley's chocolate although I've also shopped at both the Mentor and Fairlawn stores. I have been coming here since I was a little kid. My dad grew up in Cleveland and every time we visit family we make a point to stop here. They are basically an ice cream store with a gift shop. My favorite thing about this location is the carousel in the seating area. They have about 5-6 tables and it actually moves. It might be for kids but we will definitely sit there! It is so fun! You can order ice cream, sundaes, banana splits, cones and anything else you can think of ice cream wise. They have lots of flavors and toppings. Their fudge topping is probably the best I have ever had. It is hot and made from their chocolate. You can order it on the side or on your ice cream. They also give you pretzels and a cup of the hot fudge to start when you order and eat inside. The pretzels dipped in the hot fudge, O-M-G!!! this is my favorite thing and I try to redo it at home and it just does not compare. The store has lots of chocolate items, gift boxes and such. You can also purchase chocolate covered pretzels, which we also do every time we visit. This is an absolute must visit when visiting Cleveland. Visited five Malley's locations and this was the only that was fully stocked in everything I needed for gift baskets for Easter. Inside they had closed the ice cream parlor and seating area due to Wuhan Coronavirus. The staff were very friendly. The parking lot is tough to navigate and I saw two patrons almost crash rushing in off a busy Lorain Rd. Price wise they are very expensive. Quality is there but you pay a high price for their quality. That's why for our family it's limited to one visit per year, usually being Easter as it's the most important holiday in Christian faith. read more

First time here. This place has a very unique vibe to it. It's almost like stepping back in time. It's a pink paradise. This location has ice cream. The menu is large, lots of ice cream sundaes to choose from. They offer you water and pretzels. I tried the original hot fudge sundae because I wanted to try Malley's homemade hot fudge. It is delicious. It's not too sugary at all. The whip cream tastes homemade as well and doesn't taste sugary either. The ice cream is very creamy and thick. It is definitely a treat. The only drawback might be price. Everything for a regular sundae is charged separate, including whip cream. read more

OMG! OMG! I've been here a few times in the past and haven't thought anything more of their ice cream than ordinary. And then... I discovered their Bordeaux sundae. OMG! OMG! The menu describes toffee ice cream with almonds, crushed bordeaux chocolate candy, whipped cream and chocolate fudge until your heart's content. I was like, "okay, that sounds good." Then the server brings this HUGE punch bowl of ice cream heaven with a side of warm chocolate fudge. Look at the photo! Crazy! I could've shared this thing with the whole family and everyone would've been stuffed. Drizzled it with the warm fudge, untucked my belt and off I went. WoW!! I'm getting this from now on every time I come to Malley's. The 5 stars is really more specific to the Bordeaux sundae than everything else they served... of course, coupled with the great service (they start you off with an appetizer of pretzels and dipping fudge) and the carousel, which is just such a hit with the kids. He borrowed $500 and several years later, there are locations all over Cleveland and surrounding areas. Whenever I enter the door, I instantly become the biggest kid in the candy shop. Delights for one and all exist here, (yes, even for those who can't have sugar!), and they're well worth it. The chocolate bars are sensational - from the basic CLE bar to the chocolate pretzel. This location is particularly cool - the carousel is very old school and sitting on this rotating stage gives you a chance to show off your amazing sugar haul to the entire store. (Make sure to also give your best "royalty waive" as you slowly spin around!) On top of it, it's a proper soda fountain with great ol' timey drinks, tasty ice cream, and adorable candy-laden sundaes. An Ohio treasure! We popped in right after I stepped off of the plane. Sweet Nancy was incredibly helpful with samples and sweet words to help us select some delicious treats! I cleaned house. An absolute Cleveland institution for chocolate (CHOC); Malley's Chocolates provides some of the best chocolates the city has to offer. The North Olmsted location (along with Bay Village, Lakewood, and Mentor), however, also offers Malley's ice cream. At 45, there's still nothing like heading to Malley's, now with kids of my own, and sitting on the carousel enjoying one of their guilty pleasures. The Black & White sundae is my personal favorite, but I can vouch for all of them; they're delicious; each and every one. If you're from the area, you probably don't need to read a review to know that Malley's is great, but if you're new to the area, or happen to be passing through town and looking for some chocolates or some ice cream, stop in at Malley's. Had such a fun time with my family going to Malley's for ice cream. It is adorable inside and features a slow spinning carousel with tables. It reminds me of an old fashioned ice cream parlor. The menu was extensive and had so many delicious options; it was hard to choose! I ended up going with a frozen strawberry ice cream sundae with a side of hot fudge and whipped cream. It was delicious! My only complaint is I wish it came in a larger bowl because it was a bit hard to eat without making a mess. Three of my family members got the brownie sundae option with cookies and cream ice cream and hot fudge with whipped cream. They loved it. The last family member got an ice cream soda. This place is always a fan favorite! Went there with the Family after the night out and it was such a sweet treat to the end of the night. (No pun intended) the chocolate and vanilla ice cream was delicious. This Malley's location is the most nostalgic for me, with a full-sized carousel to eat ice cream on and walls and tables lined with candy. Malley's makes the best hot fudge sauce, and sells it to take home too. The Bordeaux Sundae is my current favorite of the ice cream selection, and the homemade peanut butter cups (way better than Reese's) are my favorite of the candy. Their ice cream portions are huge; I order the child's portion of the Bordeaux and it's still more than plenty. During peak hours, you have to be lucky to get a seat on the carousel, but there are several other (stationary) tables at which to sit throughout the shop. read more
