The first time, I show up and the stylists are busy. No one looks up to acknowledge they have an incoming client. Assuming they were very busy, I just took a seat but after a while, as a guest, you're not sure if they will even see you although the front door does say Walk In's Welcome. After a while longer, I just left to go across the street where they were also busy but at least looked at me entering to say if I could be seen or not. Fast forward four months later, today, I need a cut and decide to try this place again. Learning from last time, I called ahead to see if I shouldn't walk in like I did before. The stylist on the phone said she'd get me in at 5pm. I arrive at 5pm (on a Sunday, they close at 6) and again, neither of the stylists look up at me. They are both busy with clients but I have to make sure to check if my invisible cloak is on and if anyone can see me at all. A man walked in after me, the stylist came to the lobby and brought him over, still not word to me. (Maybe this because men's cuts would have been faster than mine?) It is now past 6PM and no one has said a word to me. Debating on just leaving, no cut... I need to leave at this point...chose to write this review while I wait. Confused and ignored. Got up and headed for the door and still no one looked up. I'm sure they do great work but maybe some extra thought could go into friendliness or customer attention. Don't come here if they give you an appointment and especially don't just Walk In because like me (twice), you might not leave with a cut or even a greeting. Disappointing to see a place all my friends and family go to for years turn rotten. Not recommended.

I'm one of those don't EVER cut my hair and just color the grays kind of gals. I have had long hair since I was in elementary school and have refused bangs, highlights, and layers. It's a PAIN to style because it takes forver to style/blow dry. My hair is now curly as opposed to straight as a board as it was when I was younger. However, I had been thinking of cutting off 10 inches for locks for love (and since it's been a HOT summer!). I went in with the news and immediately Nicole was super excited, but cautiously optimistic. She knows I don't do "change" with my hair well. I am her most boring client! She wanted to be sure I was comfortable making such a drastic change. I confirmed my intent as I had been thinking about it for several months and our adventure began! That same day, three other lucky ladies were chopping off their hair for charitable wig donations. So it was definitely a team effort across the board and made it more fun! I brought 4-5 pictures ranging from super short to should length. We reviewed and discussed each one. Utimately, we went with an in between cut so it wouldn't be such a drastic change. Nicole's recomendation was spot on because it was a shocking change. I absolutely LOVE my new "short" hair (just above shoulder length). She also recomended a different hair wig company that gave children wigs for FREE (instead of charging them like Locks for Love). She knew exactly how to rubber band the hair for submission and took care of everything. I spent at least a week running my fingers through my hair in complete awe after it was done. It felt SO light! It was EASY to style (curly OR straight!!). I LOOKED and FELT young!! and NO TANGLES omg!! I didn't want to wash it for fear I would never be able to replicate how great it looked and felt. Ultimately, it's been so much easier to style and I can still wear it up when I workout (!!). Win win!

She said she would try to fix it because it was short. I responded you knew how long my hair was when you took the appointment, if you couldn't braided short hair you should not have scheduled it. She then told me not to yell at her, because she had been yelled at enough and was having a bad day. I told I had been having a bad week because she didn't render the service I paid for and she wasn't going to have an attitude with me. I said I wouldn't be back and she said good don't come back. When you work in the public you don't take your personal issues out on your clients.
