Service was very slow, kind of a disappointment as people said this is the place to go to: The waitress did make me a raspberry ice tea. I was given and cam of peanuts, I enjoyed that. The inside is nothing really exciting but is kind of decked out. Nothing from worker on why it took over ten minutes to be seated. The place is not full lots of open tables. Workers passed by, could see me waiting, but not one took initiative to seat me. When ordered food it came very quickly. That was good baked potato was not available, they ran out and could only do fries I must say I was not overly impressed with this place. While prices are great it just took to long for service and food was sub par

Tonight we went to Colton's in Muskogee. After waiting 20 minutes after being seated I searched for manager to see if we could get a waitress. The waitress told us we shouldn't have been seated there. She takes our order then we wait another 40 minutes and they bring us the wrong food. When we say this isn't what we ordered the manager grabs our credit card to make sure we pay for our 2 sweet teas that were never refilled. No apologies , no let me get this fixed just acts like we did something wrong by being there to eat. No worries, we won't be back.

Colton's has decent food, but whatever the reason today the waitress was too busy to serve us. We had to ask twice for honey that used to be on the table. Then, we needed refills on drinks and waited 10 - 15 minutes, giving us plenty of time to finish our meals dry. Again, the waitress was overloaded. She would get within a table of us and either be loaded down with food and drinks or with dirty dishes. So she didn't look our way unless we waved q hand or called out to get her attention. My catfish and strawberry pecan salad were okay, and my wife and mother-in-law enjoyed their food. But we were all irritated by the end of the meal.

I was worried that this was gonna be a bad experience because of all the bad 1 and 2 star reviews that management doesn't seem to care enough about to respond to or seemingly over time, fix. But we gave it a shot while driving from Ft Smith to Norman. I really wish they'd get their meat locally, surrounded by cattle ranches, and support the local farmers (if they do, they should say it. These days people like to know where their food is coming from). Anyway, it was ok. Flavor was good. Ordered the sirloin and it came out pretty quick. I'm giving 5 stars not because the food deserves it but the service was better than we've had on this road trip from other places. Her name was Sherry or Cheryl or something, long red hair. I hope they pay her well because she's better than others. It was nice to be greeted with a smile...a genuine one that felt welcoming. Checked on things, made sure we were good, and got us in and out back on the road. Might be back when we head back this direction home, but will probably call and reserve one of her tables. From the reviews on the others, she is probably the "hit" among the "misses."

The ribs were pretty tough, the chicken was a LITTLE better , the mashed potatoes were barely warm. Will not be going back.

The wait after we ordered 2 entries and 2 kids meals took way too long. The food was okay.

Max's/Maxine's is an "ole' reliable" when it comes to the traditional bar scene. Great place to…read moredance the night away with locals. But they've really stepped up their game with the restaurant side of the operation. The food is truly outstanding. The burgers rival any burger in Muskogee. The fried mushrooms are hand breaded and not just fried from frozen, and they are worth getting every single visit. The ranch is top notch. They offer a really delicious Saturday brunch menu, but I wish they would do Sunday brunch. They decorate big for Christmas every year, which is really fun. And they have a seasonal photo area that always has a cute backdrop. The only real struggle with Max's is consistent service. It seems like they are always short-handed and very slow. They take reservations for big groups, but don't actually use them, so you still have to wait, which defeats the purpose of reservations. But I'll continue to go for those fried mushrooms!

Our server was nice and did his best for a large crowd, honestly he was perfectly fine and this…read morereview should be no reflection on him. The burger meat was good. Potato skins are tolerable, and the ranch is made in house. Otherwise, this place is terrible and consistently the worst dining experience I have ever had in Muskogee. It takes at least 60-90 minutes to get your meal, which is usually wrong, and good luck getting drinks or appetizers. They are always woefully understaffed, and typically the staff seems like they hate being here as much as we do (tonight was an exception, staff was friendly). Included a photo of the updated fries in case you think they're the nice looking ones from years ago: nope, they're great value "McD's" knockoff fries. Thankfully this last experience convinced our group of friends to never return. Don't make the same mistake as us. If it was a single night of this, I'd give it a pass or wait and see. Well, I waited, and I saw, after 5-6 visits in here is just no salvaging the eating experience here.

The other beginning with a C with Hit and Miss service and then you have here which most of my visits as well as my co-workers have always had nothing but raving talkatives about this establishment. The ambience is wonderful and here is where you want to take a date. From the almost Edison type lights that are on top to the brick wall with a nice historical accent and the ceiling tile of decorative nature. I've tried the hamburger here as well as well as the eggs benedict and they have been on spot. The hamburger is not fried on the grill you can actually taste the charness on it from a grill and the yolks on the egg to Benedict is not overcooked it has that nice runny yolk that we all like and a buttery dream hollandaise sauce that's hard to beat. Price is medium to medium high but look at the ambience of this place you will not get too much of that in this small town enjoy it while you are here. Parking might be a little challenging at peak times because you are parking on the street. When you are tired of the mediocre to bad service as well as the food at the other Steakhouse come over here and find yourself not being disappointed. This is coming from my point of view as well as about four other co-workers that have been to both places. OH, I forgot their address I decent looking bar with a nice setup for your tasting pleasure.

The first thing I wanna say is that I really want our local business ventures to succeed. With that…read moresaid... I must be honest about our first experience at Watson's chophouse on third. To overshadow everything... I do need to say that Megan our server was absolutely incredible even after a very difficult day where we found out she had worked almost 12 hours on New Year's Eve day. Now to the review. We arrived 30 minutes early for our 8 PM reservation with hopes of being able to listen to a cellist that had been advertised on Facebook for New Year's Eve. He was to be there until about 8:30. When we arrived, the cellist was not there. Really... No big deal. We asked the maître D if we could sit at the bar while we waited for our reservation and he said that he would have to clear off a couple of spots at the bar then we could. Well, he was so busy clearing tables instead of being able to check people in and take care of the needs of people upfront that that never happened and someone walked in talked to the bartender and they went up and took our seats. Again... Not a dealbreaker. We waited until 8:30 before we were seated, and during that time, the restaurant had about a third of the tables empty. The line was out the door and people were getting a little contentious. We hardly saw the maître D and was unable to ask him questions because he was bussing tables which I believe should've been someone else's job. I realize people call in on special days like that because they don't want to work and possibly that's what happened because they were obviously shorthanded. The place seemed to be in utter confusion amongst the staff. I would have expected someone who seemed to be the owner or manager to come out and take control and that never happened. No one seemed to be in control. We were never approached the entire evening at our table by a manager or anyone that even resembled one. Now onto the experience at the table. As I said before... Megan was incredible and was running her legs off. We started off with an iced tea and an old-fashioned which by the way was one of the best old fashions I've ever had. She made sure we had plenty of bread, etc. while we waited for our food. We had ordered shrimp cocktail, which we never got, and when I kindly told her not to worry about it when our food was brought to the table, I think she threw herself under the bus by saying that she had forgotten to turn the order in. I think that screwup was in the kitchen. Listen folks... We're not picky people, but when I go into a place and I'm paying $90 for a steak I really think there should be perfection all the way around. The baked potatoes were very good, but I think the asparagus was overcooked and charred to the point where they tasted burnt. The star of the show which was a $90 porterhouse table steak was a complete disappointment. We love our steaks, medium rare. A medium rare steak should have a little bit of juice and blood on the plate. This was not the case with this one. It was medium to the point of almost medium well. The only reason we didn't send it back was our server had been running her legs off and we were not about to do that to her 30 minutes after they were supposed to be closed. So... We didn't say anything. I just think there should've been someone in charge and it just didn't seem like that was the case at least out in the dining area. Again... If you are understaffed in a restaurant that small, especially on a holiday night, it should be obvious that someone in charge is jumping in to fill the gap and we did not see that. Sorry guys, but we'll probably not be back. I just don't have a lot of grace when I pay $90 for a steak and have that kind of experience. Texas de Brazil and Bull In The Alley will continue to be our go to's. Really disappointed cause I thought we would be able to get a really good steak at home.
