When Colton's first opened, I thought it was great. The last couple of times I've been, it's rough. The cuts of meat are extremely low quality. And they seem to constantly be short staffed. I went in on a Thursday evening with some friends, and told a 10 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar. We were told it may take a while because there were big parties and short staffed. So we asked if we could order to go. The poor bartender was not happy. We apologized and said whatever was easiest for her. Well she went to put in our orders, got slammed with drink orders, and literally cried. We felt so bad. She was still very nice after all was said and done. They really have gone downhill. stopped by on valentine's day and was told the wait would be 30 minutes which is no problem for a busy Saturday. we waited for an hour and 15 minutes. once seated the server's first words were "the kitchen is a disaster and you can expect a 45 minute wait". we rolled the dice and checked our watches. our food took 90 minutes. other parties were walking out after they gave up on even getting their food. definitely will avoid in the future. read more

I visited Coltons in Muskogee and requested that they use an alternative oil to seed oils because I am highly sensitive to them. The food was excellent. Our server and bartender were very attentive. The interior of the restaurant was friendly and comfortable.

The atmosphere is comfortable and the service and Food are great. Dining keto is not always easy, but here it was not only easy, but a pleasure! I called in and Jayla was the sweetest young lady, she made sure she had our order correct . The blackened salmon was cooked to perfection as was the Hawaiian chicken. Jayla actually called me when I was on my way to pick up our order to let me know it was ready. Tonight we went to Colton's in Muskogee. After waiting 20 minutes after being seated I searched for manager to see if we could get a waitress. The waitress told us we shouldn't have been seated there. She takes our order then we wait another 40 minutes and they bring us the wrong food. When we say this isn't what we ordered the manager grabs our credit card to make sure we pay for our 2 sweet teas that were never refilled. No apologies , no let me get this fixed just acts like we did something wrong by being there to eat. No worries, we won't be back. read more

Colton's has decent food, but whatever the reason today the waitress was too busy to serve us. We had to ask twice for honey that used to be on the table. Then, we needed refills on drinks and waited 10 - 15 minutes, giving us plenty of time to finish our meals dry. Again, the waitress was overloaded. She would get within a table of us and either be loaded down with food and drinks or with dirty dishes. So she didn't look our way unless we waved q hand or called out to get her attention. Super bland. I've eaten here several times, and my dishes never seem to have much flavor. Great bread. Bare minimum service. Dirty tables. The only notable things on the menu are their salads. Huge and loaded and inexpensive! They need to put more love into their dishes and make more time for their patrons. I was worried that this was gonna be a bad experience because of all the bad 1 and 2 star reviews that management doesn't seem to care enough about to respond to or seemingly over time, fix. But we gave it a shot while driving from Ft Smith to Norman. I really wish they'd get their meat locally, surrounded by cattle ranches, and support the local farmers (if they do, they should say it. These days people like to know where their food is coming from). Anyway, it was ok. Flavor was good. Ordered the sirloin and it came out pretty quick. I'm giving 5 stars not because the food deserves it but the service was better than we've had on this road trip from other places. Her name was Sherry or Cheryl or something, long red hair. I hope they pay her well because she's better than others. It was nice to be greeted with a smile...a genuine one that felt welcoming. Two of us ordered the sirloin tips, which they were out of and said they've been out of for going on a week. We were able to order the sirloin--and while I realize some places use the lowest cuts of beef for sirloin "tips"--it just sounds strange to say you can get sirloin but not sirloin tips. Half our side dishes were incorrect--regular fries instead of sweet potato and another side missing. My steak, which I ordered medium, could only be classified as well done. My mom's medium well was also definitely well done. They were both really dry and tough, as in it took legitimate effort to cut the steak. It was cooked as requested, but the terriaki chicken was in no way tender, the glaze itself -there was something the cooks added to it that made it thick and not very tasty The mesquite chicken was not juicy through most of the butterflied breast. The flavor was only apparent on the very edge of one side. The rice pilaf was not bad. I spritzed the rice with lime and it was instantly improved. We ordered the small ribeye steak ( 12 ounces). The portion perfect, but steak had very little taste for a ribeye and way too much fat ( probably a 1/3 of the steak). Besides that it was not very tender. I mentioned my disappointment to other attendees, they said they had the salmon and sirloin beef tips and both were very good. I guess you just need to the right thing. Wait staff were very attentive and food came out quickly. We were in the "party room" with a group size of 35 folks and wait staff handled it extremely well. The only good part of the meal was the rolls. I ordered the sirloin (medium) and grilled shrimp. The shrimp came cold and unseasoned. My steak was lukewarm, had no flavor and well done, not medium. Dinner rolls are off the charts good. The steaks were over cooked and/or under cooked in the case of one of our diners. The ribeye was good although mis-cooked. The other steaks were part of a shrimp steak combo and were more like a steak-um (Google that if you're not old enough to know what that is)! Overall the food was average. This evening after running a couple errands, my husband and I placed our mobile order for Colton's Steakhouse here in Muskogee. I got the single grilled porkchop with loaded bake potato, strawberry pecan salad, a slice of New York Cheesecake with Pecan praline topping and an Iron Horse Rootbeer. The hubby decided on a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with green beans, sweet tea and a skillet cookie. Though we were a bit early, we sat and waited a bit, as it is a nice day to be out. When we got our order home. We were missing the skillet cookie, but had the rest of our order. I tried to remedy by calling but was told that mgmt said we had to go through who we ordered it through to get anything taken care of. They refused to do anything, the restaurant that is, so I went to who we mobile ordered through, and was able to get a refund that will show up.in 5 to 7 days back on my card. This experience tells me as a consumer that mobile orders are not read correctly, the orders are not double checked in the presence of the customer for accuracy. There needs to be a visit from corporate, so they can see how the curbside orders are handled. read more

I have been to this location twice. The waiter/waitress is always so nice and attentive. However the wait time for food and taste of the food is always AWFUL. We had 7 people at our table and everyone had a complaint about their food. Some was cold, others the flavor was just awful. I got the nacho appetizer as my meal and I sent it back after one bite. It was so bad. I did get it replaced with the country fried steak with white gravy and loaded mashed potatoes. This plate was good, but I'm not going to a sit down restaurant to eat something I could make just as well at home. My husband had the ribs and said they were the worst he's ever had. My brother in law hated the fries and his steak was literally gray. My mother in law and sister in law both had luke warm steaks. This is the second time I have been and have not been impressed. Wow!!! And I don't mean that in a good way. The star it's getting is for the waitress that really tried but seemed to be new and seriously struggled the entire night. The service was bad, even after everyone cleared out of the restaurant. The food.....the chips & queso was actually cheese broth and chips. My load chicken wasn't cooked to perfection, mashed potatoes were cold along with everyone else's. Our trail potatoes were the worst I've since the over cooked them and looked horrible. My sisters steak was medium rare instead of medium well, her veggies were cold and my niece was told her soup would take 45 minutes to make since they ran out.
