The Veterans event, spelled wrong. Not clearly stated, so no discount. Slowest service anywhere on a Monday. Spelled Veteran wrong. Didn't even have a manager come out and offer maybe something. It happened to multiple tables. Forgot my salad. Forgot my salad dressing. Mac n cheese was flavorless. Put a slice of fat in a steak salad. Try harder. And don't have a discount if you don't advertise it well and end up angering a customer. Probably won't go back because TX roadhouse might be better. Although TX roadhouse burns well done steaks. Well, the ribeye just wasn't good. It was tough , dry and not worth $25 +. I ordered it medium, and it came out as medium well on edge and well done for most of it ? My experience here has varied from good to awful, most recently it's been on the awful side. Most recent visit... the meals took an extra long time to arrive and when they did my steak (ordered medium well) was very very rare, and the other meals were cold. My guess is they forgot to cook my steak with the other meals, then rushed it while the other meals sat around. The waiter came over and took my steak back while my dinnermates decided to tough it out and pick at their cold food. By the time my meal came back, they had given up, and were finished eating. Came in got appetizers pretty fast , food took a whole hour to get to us , i got the blackened salmon it came out ice cold , i have no clue how long it was sitting in the window , the fry's were the only good part about the plate. Let's start with this, it was dead on a Thursday evening. We got seated around other four tables with guests. One waitress, that was dressed like a Emo-Goth that is stuck in 1999. Dress appropriately for work. Now let's talk about service. Not that great. With only four tables of guest she never checked on us to see how the food was, only to give the check. The food was cold, not great at all. My wife had a sirloin that was so small, with fried shrimp that was over cooked. The smoked sirloin had was dry, I did ask for it rare but realizing you can't smoke something in 15 minutes. With my side of fried okra, I also got fried green beans. Come on clean out your fri baskets. Lazy people. Place is a joke, atmosphere is like being back in the 80's with decor. And please clean your floors. There were croutons under our table that I stepped on, and on the windows. It will be a long shot if we ever decided to go back there again. Wow - just had lunch here and super waitress Stacy is the bomb diggity! Seated us, waited on us and others and was super friendly. Colton's - you need to hold on to her! I love Colton's food but not their rolls. They used to be so good but they don't rise them properly any more so they're heavy and gummy now. Take my advice, ask for Texas toast or bring your own bread. read more

We were so disappointed tonight at Colton's. Our waiter was amazing! He brought out our favorite rolls. Ya'll they were like hockey pucks. I as him nicely if we could have rolls a little less hard. He was so nice, he preceded to tell us all of the rolls were like that. He apologized letting us know he has mentioned to the baker maybe he needed to turn the heat down a little. We told him we didn't need the rolls anyway. Husband ordered the sirloin salad, cooked to perfection. I ordered beef tenderloins, salad and sweet potato. Cooked to perfection but it was so salty it burned my mouth. I thought it was just me, hubby took a bite and he admitted it was way to salty. I hated to tell our sweet waiter but I did. Of course he apologized again. Told him no problem, ask if he could just bring me another side salad. He told the Manager, she comped us 7.00 for the steak. Bottom line I paid 14.00 for a sweet potato and 2 side salads. The Waiter kept apologizing, not his fault! I really felt sorry for the him. I tipped as usual and also gave him a tip. read more

Ours is still in the kitchen. We asked to leave after an hour of waiting and the worst service I have ever experienced. I've always really liked Coltons and never had an issue anytime I've gone there. Typical American food with a decent variety to select from. They bring around fresh rolls and butter while you wait so you don't actually need an appetizer, but they have some of the BEST cheese fries in town so we can never resist ordering some when we go. read more

A great meal from start to finish. The appetizer Tumbleweed is delicious! The dipping sauce that comes with it is perfectly seasoned. Salads are plenty big, and have a lot of toppings. Try the house dressing. It's not a ranch-style dressing, it's even better! Entrees seem to have something for everyone. The Hawaiian Ribeye, Sirloin Tips, Grilled Shrimp, Pork Chops, and even the entree salads are all wonderful! I'm normally not a rib fan, but I love the ribs at Colton's. And the Montana burger is top-notch. Try the Bread Pudding with Whiskey sauce for dessert...you won't be disappointed! read more

Terrible service and the steak wasn't much better. I had to ask the server to bring me my salad because she forgot. The restaurant wasn't busy. The ribeye was tough and of low grade. We had 4 in our party and noticed the board out front displaying their specials had the 9oz sirloin with 2 sides for $9.99. Two of our party ordered this and with the exception of them forgetting to bring out 1 side it was good and the steak was cooked good. When we each got our bill they had charged us full price $13.29 for the special. We brought it to our waitresses attention to correct and the manager said the price written on the board was incorrect and the price was $13.29. The service was terrible here. We had a group of 7, including a toddler and an infant. Our side orders were messed up and to top it off, both my husband and father in law ordered ribeye steaks but when they arrived, the steaks were very obviously sirloin steaks exactly like my sirloin that I ordered. When we said something to the waiter, he argued and we asked for the manager. The waiter left and brought back the manager and the cook, who both argued with my father in law (who used to work in a butcher shop cutting steaks and eats rib eye on a regular basis) that the steaks were definitely ribeyes.
