This is now down to 2 stars. Reason: 2020, my husband fell because he slipped on a bad dock board when exiting our boat. He broke his ankle! We got a new slip. We were told TODAY, that row is totally new now. Today: While planning to do some relaxing lunch at the boat and some cleaning, I slipped on the row, where we are now. I almost fell in the water. Photos taken by my husband. He said, I was flying! I was holding my umbrella (to shield me from the hot sun), and I guess it slowed me down like a parachute coming down, but no matter I was injured. The concrete walkway was very much un-even. There was no yellow paint to indicate 'warning'. Since I've posted this, very little had improved, maybe they did some improvement on Row E, but here's my say: if you can build a house in 3 months, you can check the marina for some 'danger signs' and protect the people that rent there from getting into ACCIDENTS. Mind you, this was LUNCHTIME, not late in the evening! I walked up to the office, to show them what just happened. After TWO ACCIDENTS here, after my last review, I am disturbed walking, just walking, not even sailing this marina. I just wanted something done! One was to move the boat again. They offered help doing that, but today, we're not ready. Too much to do, and we've not had lunch. They offered to buy us lunch. That's not enough! I just want the marina MORE SAFE everywhere else, not just one row at a time. read more

Everything is well maintained and the office staff is very professional. Only downside is their rates are quite high compared to competitors, and being on Hayden Island can be tough traffic wise going north on i 5 in the afternoon. read more

This place has really went down hill in the way they treat their customers!!! Kept my Boats there for over 20 yrs. Paid to keep boat in a so called safe storage yard. Pulled my spot for charging me fees they shouldn't. In fact, They wouldnt refund my money when I vacated a week early, They said they would, Liars!!!! There thieves there too, had a almost a full tank stolen here. They don't watch your stuff, they could careless, Trashy now too.. Glad my Boats Home.... Safe, where she belongs. Hayden Bay is a great location. The crew in the office are quick and efficent. Their payment system is wonderful. The Hayden Bay marina is well maintained, safe, and has good parking. The only downside is the entrance to the marina in low water when you have to hug the dock to the north. Columbia Crossings and their Hayden Bay marina have been a good value and a great place for our sailboat. read more

The guys don't maintain their docks. They often allow sewage to go in to the water--no consideration for the environment at all. And don't expect any customer service. Since you have a choice, choose a company that cares about the environment and the product they offer. read more

This post serves as a warning to anyone that is looking to rent a floating home at Columbia Crossing. While every slip at the site is rented the company treats the "owners" of property and the "renters" of the property very differently. Over the year I was at Columbia Crossing my car was hit twice in their parking lot, leaving dents and scrapes on my car. When I reported these incidents to Columbia Crossings they said I needed to work through the owner of the home and they would not speak to me. Nothing came from these conversations and the owner of my property did not want to "press" things with them. The problem took place in their parking lot and I was the one paying the rental cost for the slip so not sure of their thinking. On another occasion the gate to the community was not working and it was late at night and dark. Again I had to report this to the owner of the property and ended up having to climb over the fence which was risky so I could get home. Columbia Crossings notified the "owners" of the homes that they would be putting up cameras to help with security in the parking area which never happened. There is a huge problem with homeless and drug users that go into the adjacent park and jump the fence to the car parking area with no action from Columbia Crossing. The almost 1,000 that goes toward slip rental has little to no value to renters. I am a grown man that can hold my own and there were nights I did not feel safe in the parking lot with the outsiders that were present. In addition, the office staff is less then helpful and if you are not white and have perfect credit they will do everything in their power to keep you out. Kim is the poster child for discriminatory practices and puts her nose where it does not belong. As a renter, she will not give you the time of day, and decisions are made that affect you and your wallet you have absolutely no input to. While I was lucky my car was not broken into that was not the case for many others and I wonder what their experience was because mine certainly lacked any level of customer service or caring from the two times it was hit and I had to suck up the cost for repairs. Living on the water can be a great experience and would definitely recommend it. However, I would recommend staying far away from this slip as Colombia Crossings is far from the organization they should be, they treat renters as second class citizens even though from their perspective everyone is a renter as no one "owns" their slip and finally the level of gossip in the community is unreal. So avoid Kim and her nasty behavior as well as the community as a whole as it is not a serene supportive and safe environment for renters. read more

We use the RV storage facility. Compared to other RV storage options in Portland this the best facility and value we have found. The storage lot is well lighted and maintained and the office staff has always been professional and friendly. Ingress and egress access is good and convenient to I-5. read more

Due to a low water year on our lake, I chose to use Columbia Crossings as an alternative. This is my second time doing a monthly rental here. The facilities are well used, but generally clean. The docks are in adequate repair, but could use some sprucing up. The price was reasonable for my stay and the people were always helpful and friendly. The restaurant at the head of the main entrance is very good and the location and parking are great both from a land and river standpoint. I appreciated my 2 months on the water there and will likely return if once again, I am unable to use our lake. read more

Each week, I get to listen to hours and hours of disruptive and intrusive leaf blowers. They should hire a landscaping company who knows how to use brooms and rakes. Anybody who is trying to enjoy the beauty of the marina and nature is accosted for hours at a time by the infernal racket. read more

This place charges first class prices for third class service. They want $50 per night with a 2 night minimum for transient docking. I wouldn't know what the facilities are like because I called their leasing office and left two voice mails for Marlene 4 days before our trip, no response, I left a voice mail for the Hayden bay harbor master, no response, even a week later. Had to cancel our stay there. Today I called the leasing office back and finally got Marlene and she told me their prices and also that they require all the documents up front for a transient slip, those documents are: Driver's License, boat registration, proof of ownership, proof of insurance, minimum liability of $300K, and your first born child. Overkill for transient moorage. So they have the arrogance to demand all of this from their customers but they don't have the accompanying service level to go along with it. I'd be OK to pay those prices and provide all this documentation if they provided excellent service, but not so much. Boat US write up coming soon for our trip, with a very negative review of Columbia Crossings. Avoid this place and go instead to Camas to the east and St. Helens to the west. The St. Helens Marina is FANTASTIC. Give them a try. read more
