If the facility site needs any maintenance, or you need in person assistance after hours and on Sundays, Goodluck! You will not be able to speak to the actual site managers, they will not call you back, you will have to call multiple numbers before you can even speak to a real person (random third-party call center rep)​, they will not attempt to find any resolution, you will be screwed in everyway until the following business day. If you have an urgent emergency they still will not be involved until the next business day. For example, it's Sunday and the site elevators malfunction and no one can gain access to their units if they are not outside and on the first level. It doesn't matter if you had just been at your unit and went back out to your car, leaving your unit open or unlocked, no one will be available to resolve this issue. You can call every number available (excluding 911) and no one will show up or call you back until Monday sometime after 9:30am. read more

My storage unit was forcefully broken into and the interaction with management following the incident was not great. My wife and I moved our own stuff to a new storage unit and took inventory of everything missing. ExtraSpace took every measure to distance themselves from obligation and I never got more than a ‍. Never again, ExtraSpace. You don't care about me any more than I care about your SEC filings. ExtraSpace is a behemoth, publicly traded company that buys and sells commercial property. That is essentially where the money is for them it seems and they sincerely don't seem to put much thought or care into the guardianship of their customer's possessions. The 6191 ExtaSpace location just sold for a cool $22M, and they can't put the effort in to safeguarding storage units? I guess that's how you get rich and manage a company that trades at $115 a share. read more

Rented a space fir a few years and had absolutely NO issues. Clean friendly service.

Everything is great but the rates after five months my rent almost doubled from $59 to $108 !!! I can't afford that almost 100% increase

I was told by an employee that I was all good to go when I switched locations and I didn't my didn't need to worry about my first unit well I am being charged for that first unit because the employee forgot to tell me to take the lock off how is this my fault and why am I being charged for staff error? if you're considering doing business with this company, please think about whether you're willing to pay twice as much as the online promotional rate because that's what you'll be paying within 60 days. i expect reasonable incremental increases, but a business that doubles the monthly rent is dishonest. can you say bait and switch? do better, extra space. read more

This aaahat owner is the worst. I like to pay for checks as I know the like to raise rates on you without informing. The jerk didn't tell me I had to mail directly to him instead of corporate office. So he didn't get check, so I had to stop off. And then they increased to rent by 20% after a quarter. We will be clearing out as soon as we can and never using this company again read more

Would give no stars if possible. Worst. Storage. Facility. Ever. Why, you ask? Well, let me count the ways. 1. My car (parked under their security camera) had the window smashed and stuff stolen from it. Extra Space did nothing, even though I had the police come and look at the security footage that showed exactly what happened. They said they are not responsible for the parking lot. (?!) 2. Because of vandalism, they recently started locking the bathroom during the evenings and Sundays; so don't manage your storage items after office hours, because there is no restroom. (This is actually against Oregon law, but they don't seem concerned.) 3.They changed their late exit policy, so if you are there after 10 pm, you have to leave your car there over night, and walk out to meet your ride. They did this without any signs posted, and I was stuck inside the gate for 2 hours WITH NO RESTROOM until someone could come pick me up. 4) If you have complaints or emergencies, it is basically impossible to reach anyone. If you call customer service, it is automated to recognize your phone number, and directs your call straight to computer generated account info; no way to ask to speak to a representative. I'm sure most people just give up when they can't figure out how to reach someone with whom to file a complaint. 5) No matter how many storage units you have, if payment on ANY of them are late, you can not get into the facility period. They simply lock out your code. Most facilities put their lock on the unit that is past due, but not here. You can be up to date on $800 worth of large units, but if rent on your little 10x10 is past due, you can't access ANY of of them, because you can't get in the gate. It may be a new building, but ExtraSpace (on Columbia Blvd, at least) is as ghetto of a company as I have ever, ever experienced. Unless you want to be robbed, work without a restroom, get locked out or get locked IN, I would not put your stuff here. read more

Lies and lies and lies. Bait and switch rate changing. Raising rates mid contract. Everyone places blame on someone else. Impossible phone system. Contracts mean nothing. Security is lacking. Got a call from Krystal who apparently is a district lead. Was spoken to beyond rudely, told I have no clue what I'm talking about and to expect more increases to my rate. My unit was broken into and everything of value was stolen. The management said they'd review camera footage, but they're only located at exits and I never got any follow up. Sketchy people hanging out in parking lot and going in and out every time I was there. No one is monitoring or verifying proper access when I've seen numerous people go in behind another car at the gate and at the elevators. Also, the locks are very easy for a thief to drill into and then replace to avoid detection. I would never store anything here again. They also increase your rent after just a few months. Super bummed. :( read more

This place is not secure. They have inadequate camera coverage. THOUSANDS of dollars worth of clothes, shoes, purses, coats, and jewelry all designer were stolen out of my aunts unit and NONE OF IT WAS ON CAMERA! They weren't seen coming in or leaving with all the stuff according to staff. After questioning the staff of how exactly this could happen my aunt was yelled at and got a door slammed in her face and the police called on her. When I arrived to help my aunt get the stuff that wasn't stolen from her unit the police were there and told her if she didn't leave immediately she would be arrested for trespassing. HOW DO YOU GET YOUR THINGS STOLEN AND THE STAFF TREAT YOU LIKE YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG?! Shame on them. She was allowed 20 minutes to grab what she could and go. It was humiliating being escorted out by police. Earlier in the day my aunt was explaining that everything in her unit was left to her from her sister who passed and all though they were expensive they were priceless to her and the lady said "just make a claim." And walked away. Seriously? How rude. All the stuff could never be replaced! I would NEVER leave my stuff in this facility and wouldn't recommend anyone else does either. read more

I accidentally dropped my keys down the elevator shaft and have learned that I would have to pay $1000 of my own money to get a service operator to recuperate the keys for me. For the amount of money it costs to have a unit here I would have thought they could offer to help in some way, but no. This is an amazing storage space. It's beautiful and clean. It's really easy to move in and out of. They provide rolling carts that make getting your stuff from your car to your storage space really easy. I love how clean it is too. Having my things in a climate controlled space is very important to me. I don't have any worries about damp or heat. My rent was really reasonable too. I'm so happy I found this place! read more

I LOST THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF DESIGNER CLOTHES, ACCESSORIES, BAGS, SHOES, AND JEWELRY. I got to my storage after being alerted that some things were outside of my unit and the door had been pried open and majority of my stuff stolen and the rest thrown about. According to the staff no cameras show this happening to my unit. The staff was very rude and not helpful at all. When I asked for the tapes to be reviewed she told me they already went through them and "nothing seemed strange to them." MY STUFF DID NOT JUST DISAPPEAR OR WALK OUT OF THEIR DOORS WITHOUT BEING SEEN! While I'm gathering the rest of my belongings out of my unit because I no longer wanted to leave my things here (they're clearly not safe here) I called friends for help. One of my friends came to help, left, and came back and upon arrival the worker came out to take pictures of her and her boyfriend and her license plate. My friend went to ask why she was taking photos of her and she had locked the door during business hours and told her she felt unsafe and was calling the police. I also asked the worker how could someone break into their building without being seen and her response was to yell and scream at me and slam the door in my face. The police arrived and I was told if I did not leave now I would be arrested. They wanted me to leave THE REST of my things there and I was not to return. I called the district manager Tyler and was allowed 20 minutes to gather as much as I could before being escorted off of the property not to return. At this point since there is no footage of the break in or my stuff being taken I'm left to assume someone working there took my things. I was told they had photos of the inside of my unit without permission meaning my unit has been opened at sometime before this incident without me present. I am outraged! I was humiliated at the end of this all and on top of all this these items were very expensive but priceless to me. They all belonged to my sister who left them to me who passed. The staff showed little care for this incident and treated me as though I had done something wrong when MY belongings were stolen! NEVER AGAIN! Heads up to anyone thinking of using this facility their building is not secure and the staff will do nothing and not care about your stuff. If I could give them negative stars I would!! read more
