The location feels safe and secure as well as easy to access, which I greatly appreciate, and the price is really reasonable compared to other places I checked in with.. Constant price increases with no upgrade or reason for increase. Constant changing of staff, no direct contact of emergency situations are needed. People living in units. No bang for your buck here. Used to be amazing but they are changing going to bankrupt all their customers with price increases. read more

After the purchase I'm spending 50 percent more with less service. Missing carts, no parking enforcement. I do not trust my belongings here anymore. I guess not having carts will keep my business just long enough to get everything out. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. Boyd's auctioneer was degrading and such an embarrassment. Wrong information from the start. Iron Gate chooses who runs the auction and will not take responsibility's on the wrong information, or the Auctioneer they hired. Horrible experience. read more

My husband and I recently moved to the area and put all of our belongings into storage until we could find a place to rent. I reached out to Iron Gate to let them know that my husband and I are now both unemployed due to the Covid-19 lockdown and can't afford the $287 monthly rent. We asked to rent (as in pay to use) one of their moving trucks and they said "sorry, store policy is you can only use them when moving in to the storage unit." We have decided to move back to the Midwest until we find jobs again but now Iron Gate is making us pay $287 for the entire month of April when we will not be using the storage for most of the month. If we don't pay, they will sell all of our things. Zero stars to Don Jones, resident manager, that won't even prorate us the few days we will be using the storage unit or let us rent their moving truck because you know, store policy. read more

I HATE moving and am often frazzled when dealing with all aspects of a big move. I called quite a few storage facilities in the Vancouver and Portland area and was beyond pleased with the customer service I received from Iron Gate Storage. From the initial first phone call I was greeted warm and politely from a gal, Micah. She was more than helpful in answering all my questions and was very knowledgeable of all the facility had to offer and helped me figured out exactly what I needed. Upon arrival the office was clean and inviting. I was greeted by a gentlemen, Keola I think his name was- very polite! Him and Micah had everything ready for my move in and made my experience with them delightful. Like I said earlier- I hate moving so to have such a great experience here was like a breath of fresh air! I give this place 5 stars and highly recommend it! read more

I wanted to like this place but every other time I come there is an issue. MICE being the biggest issue. In the climate controlled area, you know where mice shouldn't be. Our 1500+ mattress and some valuable antiques were ruined, and because the previous employee didn't fill our paperwork out correctly we took the loss. When we asked to speak with him we were informed he is not with the company anymore....I wonder why. Fast forward...I believe we have a new manager, the mice issue seems to me okay now, things seem to be maintained better and service seems, more helpful and alert. I go to access my unit yesterday and cannot, I verify my info, that my bill is up to date and I am using the correct code, all yes. I am in a rush as usual but the manager (?) asks me inside to troubleshoot but his comp freezes, he switches computers, then verifies my identity, then back to the frozen comp, he says it all looks good, that he'll reset the code. We walk down together he tries my code, nope no open. Then we have to use his private access code, which works... I tell him both my partner and I run businesses and need access to our property. Were also planning a wedding, and this could be a catastrophe in waiting. He tells me this will be fixed and just likely needed more time to reset. He asks me to honk and he will let me out. I am late dropping items off but...I got them and believed there wouldn't be an issue going forward. Next day, today. . . I have a car full of merch and need items out of the unit NOW for an event I have tomorrow AND I just had to postpone a private sale of an item because, I cant get in to get it. At least my client didn't try to pick it up at the storage facility. Code doesn't work, office closed, no answer at the door, no answer on the phone, no emergency line, no call back. First message was left over an hour and a half ago. The second soon after. After 13+ years in management and ownership I simply don't understand how you know this issue exists and do not fix it, find a work around, or email a private access code if you know my code isn't going to work and you've said it will. SOMETHING, but no. I pay 175 for a room and cannot access it. And, am losing money because they are not upholding their side of a rental agreement. -Disappointed read more

I was looking for a storage unit that was convenient for where I lived. I reserved a unit online and then went to the West Vancouver location. Upon arriving at the storage facility I find out that I have reserved a unit at the wrong location. They were more than helpful in finding me a unit at their location that fit my needs and was reasonably priced. They even went so far as to help me cancel the reservation at the other location and get my deposit credited to my new unit. I feel they went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a storage facility. read more

Kudos to Penske in general and Iron Gate in particular. Several days ago I completed a move from the east coast (NYC) to the west coast (Vancouver WA). Although I had to drive to Reading PA to pick up the truck and take it back to NYC to load it (no reasonable prices in NYC), everything else worked like a charm. Truck was beautiful, price reasonable, everything about the service was as promised beforehand, no hidden surprises. When I arrived at Iron Gate on Friday pm, the chap there allowed me to store the truck with all my possessions until my crew arrived at my new home Monday to unload it. He made everything easy and fast, including unhitching the trailer and processing the paperwork, again with no surprises. I can't wait for my next move! (Not really.) read more

We had easy access to his unit with many possible entraces to make carrying any object unencumbered. The property is also very clean. Decent storage facility but DO NOT borrow the truck! We had very minor damage on a brand new truck and now I've been waiting SEVERAL weeks to hear if I get any of my $250 security deposit back.
