    Grilled chicken salad
    Andrea W.

I've been in town for a couple of weeks and have eaten at this restaurant three times already the salad is the bomb! The first time I got the steak salad and ordered the grilled chicken on the side which was amazing. I will say that the chicken is better than the steak and I have ordered the chicken the last two times. It is very big and you can definitely eat off of it for 2 days and for $9 you can't ask for a better bargain!

Excellent phone and delivery service. The salad was fresh and the potato and roll perfect! The steak was spot on "medium rare". A terrific delivered meal.

This time my eggs were boiled properly... I'll say this again, they serve one of the biggest salads in Lexington.

Y'all, go check this place out! The homemade sauces are to die for, let's just start there. And second, I'll admit that I've gotten carryout from there two days in a row. I will say that the online ordering platform on Yelp is powered by Grubhub and the prices vary from the dine in menu. The torta here is literally the best in Lexington, and I've eaten them from more local places than I care to admit. The bread was so fresh that I'm thinking it was homemade. The steak option literally looked like it had a pound of beef on it. The melted cheese and the guacamole were fantastic as well. It was like a fat cheese steak sandwich at half the cost of a usual cheese steak sandwich. Oh, and it also comes with an order of fries, which is a nice surprise. I've also had the chicken burrito plate. It comes with two burritos, rice, beans, cheese sauce and guacamole. The guacamole and cheese sauce is sooo good. I think the white queso is a regional thing and I'm glad, it's my favorite. I recommend asking for the cheese sauce on the side so that you can add some to the rice. Thank me later.

They messed up our order and still wanted us to pay for something we didn't even bother eating because it wasn't what we ordered. The waiters here don't know anything about hospitality or good customer service. On top of that, nothing was clean. There were crumbs of food everywhere (on the table, menus, and seats), as if nothing had been cleaned. P.S. They already include their tips in the bill.

That's how I found out about them! One of the staff came over and explained the menu to us. Super helpful and friendly! My friend and I started off with los jugos naturales. Mango and passion fruit. Delicious! Sometimes drinking something sweet compliments eating something savory. We shared all the food: buñuelos, patacón ( it looked like tostones topped with guacamole and different meats), arepa de carne, and sides of frijoles and rice. The sides were large too! I was very impressed with the portions. We ordered too much to share between the two of us. But I'm glad we tried a few things! There was a lot to choose from on the menu. Everything was good. Fresh, flavorful, and well presented. I loved that they played salsa music in the background and had Spanish language channels on the TV. It's such a great ambiance that I can't wait to go back! The food was so good. And they offer items that I've never tried before. Love it here! It's kind of tucked off the usual strip of businesses in Gardiner Lane. It's on the side of the building between King Buffet and Planet Fitness. Tons of parking!

A longtime staple that continues to deliver!…read more The staff is always friendly, and that was especially evident during this visit when there was an issue with my dish. My wife and I ordered the same steak, prepared the same way--medium rare--but hers was incredibly tender while mine was unusually tough, sinewy, and difficult to cut, let alone chew. (those were my em dashes btw) After cutting into both steaks, it was clear they had been cooked properly, so this wasn't a kitchen issue. Sometimes a supplier simply sends an inconsistent cut of meat. What mattered was how the restaurant responded. The staff immediately offered several options: remove it from the bill, replace it, prepare another one to take home, or do whatever else was necessary to make sure I still had a great experience. That is the mark of a restaurant group that consistently "gets it" and truly understands its customers and community. The mezcal Old Fashioned is definitely worth trying if you enjoy a smoky drink. It isn't nearly as aggressively smoke-flavored as some of the "smoke box" Old Fashioneds served elsewhere. The mezcal gives it just the right amount of character and fits the restaurant's atmosphere perfectly. The beans, rice, and sauces were all excellent. The guacamole with plantain chips is practically a must-have. At this point, I've tried nearly the entire menu and have never regretted stepping outside my comfort zone. The next time you visit, try something you might not normally order and you may discover a new favorite. Kudos to the entire staff, especially Lisandra. And be sure to finish with the chocolate cake and ice cream!

The dinner…read moreconsisted of 5 themed courses to accompany the show, and the food was delicious and presented well. Favorite course was the grilled shrimp followed by the lamb chop. Table conversations and singing were expected during the show and added to the festive atmosphere, but the noise level was oftentimes at a moderate level which impacted our enjoyment at times. It also coincided with the 3rd to 4th glass of paired wine with the courses, so we weren't all that surprised. Haha! An opening cocktail or two and 5 glasses of wine (estimated 4 to 6 ounces) over an approximate 2 to 3-hour period lends itself to a raucous evening. I opted prior to the dinner to skip the wine pairings and was supposed to have my bill adjusted by $20 less, but noticed when I got home that this didn't happen. A 20% gratuity is also automatically added to each bill. Looking forward to September's dinner and a movie, Birdcage! Scheduled over 5 nights, 9/11 to 9/15. Photos attached with menu and contact info for reservations, although we've found it's easier to visit in person to achieve a much faster response (Friday and Saturday already sold out!) We were also told that this might be the final dinner and a movie since the very talented event coordinator is departing soon. We are hopeful she will return to manage the events or that someone else will pick up the baton and continue on with such a wonderful experience.
