He reframed a piece of art that means a great deal to my husband and me. It fell apart after around 3 years. When we took it back he said it was not his work. Just to be sure I asked if he was from Iran, No, he said, I'm from Afghanistan. So: the original person who framed it also said he was from Afghanistan and looked exactly like this guy. He even said when we brought it back that it was "shoddy work." So I said, "Yes, but it's YOUR work. And you charged me $1000 for it." But like an idiot I had not kept the receipt so we went away empty-handed. read more

Let me repeat: a priceless, physical embodiment of my grandma's love attached tackily. As soon as I moved into my first truly adult apartment a few days ago, I scoured my new neighborhood for a trustworthy framing service. As soon as I stepped foot into the gallery, Sadiq was so helpful and friendly. I told him I wanted something relatively cheap (okay, maybe the word "cheapest" escaped my lips) and he gently chided me, saying the better term was "less expensive." We ended up settling on a standard black frame that actually complemented the color of the scroll. Let's just say: I'm really thrilled with how it turned out. The service couldn't have been better: Sadiq had the painting delivered and also included both a mount and additional nails in case I changed my mind on how to hang it. I have a few other prints with odd measurements that I plan to bring to Sadiq to work his magic. I have had some family pictures reframed at this place. The quality of the work was wonderful and the price was fair. However they really do go above and beyond regular service and this is the reason for this review. One of my old family framed items became loose in its frame and the pieces fell apart from one another. I took it back to Custom Framing and showed them this. I was expecting to be charged to have them fix my art piece, As this is above and beyond the framing of the item. It's not their fault that my piece of art fell apart. I had a client who worked on a piece for the better part of over 20 years, and one of his final wishes was to get it framed. As his case manager, I wanted to make sure that not only did this gentleman get his magnum opus framed, but I wanted him to work with someone who knew what they were doing, and who weren't just looking to do another business transaction. When I called Columbus Art Gallery, I explained the situation, and was not quoted at all. This stood out to me because other places were quoting numbers from their heads and Sediq said he needs to see the piece before giving me an accurate assessment. I scheduled a time for Sediq and my client to meet and not only did he come on time, he brought the materials for my client, a senior citizen, to pick. He was at the apartment for the better part of an hour, and meticulously explained everything to my client, and myself. After my client agreed, he picked up the piece and within a week he completed the job and delivered it to my client. My client called me afterwards to thank me for setting everything up, but I was just the connection. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I had two expensive items framed in what I thought was a beautifully dark finished wood. A few months after getting them back to my apartment, I noticed something peeling from the frame. It was not what they had sold me in the shop! They had pasted dark laminate over some cheap plywood instead of making a full wooden frame. When I went to them with this information and showed them the frame, they were rude,dismissive, and basically laughed that they had gotten away with cheating one more person. If you want something framed well, do not go here! They are untrustworthy and will sell you one thing, then deliver something of much lower quality. read more
