Columbus Collision represented themselves as BMW-certified when they are not. Because they lacked the proper certification and knowledge, they were unable to reinstall my bumper correctly, specifically because they did not understand how the parking sensor--an integral part of the bumper--worked. As a result, they sent me to the BMW dealership to have the issue corrected, explicitly stating that they would cover the cost since they could not fix it themselves. When it came time to pay, they stopped responding ghosting both me and the dealership. The quality of work was also unacceptable. The bumper was painted poorly the first time and had to be redone multiple times. Even after several attempts, they still could not complete the repair properly and return the vehicle in a fully functional condition. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to verify certifications independently and proceed carefully. This shop was unable to complete the work they were hired to perform and did not stand behind their promises once the problem had to be corrected elsewhere. I would suggest anyone considering Columbus Collision to check their BBB rating. It's an F for a reason. They do not stand by their work, they lie, cheat and will not respond once an issue arises. read more

One of the worst collision repair shops in Columbus. My car has a perfect Carfax report and has been consistently serviced by Kelly BMW since I acquired it. This shop claims to be a BMW specialist or to have BMW-certified technicians, but that is clearly not the case. Communication was extremely unprofessional, with little to no proactive updates, constant excuses, and no accountability. The bumper installation was poorly done and clearly not performed by a qualified BMW technician. They also installed the active grille shutter incorrectly and failed to reprogram it, which caused the amber engine warning light to come on. Throughout the process, Ashley, the owner, appeared defensive rather than solution oriented. She demonstrated limited understanding of how to manage client concerns, take responsibility for mistakes, or run a professional, customer-focused business--especially when dealing with modern BMWs or other German vehicles. If you own a modern BMW or any German vehicle, do not take your car here. If I could give zero stars, I would. If you value your sanity, your time, and your vehicle, go anywhere else. We were in an accident on December 2, 2024. Today is June 4, 2025 -- six full months without our car. Not due to the accident, but because of the outrageous, negligent, and unprofessional behavior of Columbus Collision Center. In that time, we've dealt with: * Zero communication -- we had to initiate every call and follow-up * Delays from incorrect or unplaced part orders * Unanswered calls and voicemails * Staff not in the office during business hours * Rude and dismissive responses when we did reach someone We had to insert ourselves between the body shop and the parts supplier just to get things moving. It took five full business days to get the vehicle transferred to BMW for final calibrations -- after we were told it would be done immediately. When the car was finally towed (only after we threatened to tow it ourselves), it was dropped at BMW without any communication or paperwork. BMW didn't even know it was there. After finding the car ourselves and having it inspected, we discovered: * A completely dead battery * Heat & horn no longer worked (not an original issue) * Missing or broken sensors * Unfinished and missing parts Ashley, the owner, was no help -- evasive, hard to reach, and unwilling to take ownership for any of it. This isn't a busy shop falling behind. This is gross negligence and blatant disregard for customer service, safety, and basic professionalism. I recommend reading the 1-star reviews to see the common theme from Columbus Collision Center prior to choosing them for your repair needs. My Fiat was in an accident when it was hit parked outside my home. While researching best auto body shops for Fiats, Columbus Collision Center popped up as being one of the top. The initial meeting with Eric as great and he was attentive...until I chose them and dropped my car off. I was asked to drop my car off once the auto body shop had all the parts needed for my repair. I did so which this was done to speed up the process. After a week of no communication, I contacted Eric for an update. I was informed that my car would be ready by the next week and would be notified. After waiting another week, I had to contact again since there was no communication from CCC. I was informed that it would be ready the end of the week. During this call, someone that answered and tried to assist me while Eric was with another client stated "they were searching salvage yards for parts to fix my car" which when I questioned this, the representative put me on hold and came back stating they may have the wrong car. This was concerning so I asked for Eric to call me back when he was done with the client. I never received a call this day. Once again, I did not hear from anyone and called back in. Eric then told me that they ordered the wrong bumper and it would be another week for this to come in. This was frustrating because they had my car at 3 weeks at this point and informed me that they had all of the parts when I dropped it off. While frustrated, I asked that they cover the cost of any additional rental car fees since their error put me outside of my month long rental coverage. I was told they would email me a written statement for a paper trail stating this. After not receiving the email statement (called in 3 times) notifying that CCC would take on the additional costs due to their error, I had to stop in just to have Eric email me. After my car was finally finished, I went in to pick this up and dropped off my rental car at CCC since they work with Enterprise. The next morning, I was contacted by Enterprise to inform me that I was past my rental coverage which I acknowledged and asked them to send me the invoice for any outstanding amount since CCC would cover this. Enterprise told me they would have to wait until the car was dropped off. CCC never informed the day I dropped this off which I had to do so and Enterprise removed the added day, but still had one day outstanding. I then found that my spare tire cover for my hatchback was missing and CCC did not put this back in my car. I had to go back to CCC for them to pick this up along with the top piece for the hatchback. After I received the invoice, I sent this to owner Ashley Hull via email and asked that I be reimbursed by check. At this point, I did not want to physically go back to CCC since I have had a poor month long experience. After two weeks of not receiving the check, I reached out both email and phone to both Ashley and Eric. After one response of Eric saying he would have their accounting resend it and provide me with the new check number, I never heard back. I have now had no communication from texts, calls and emails from both Eric and Ashley. At this point (and based on how they have treated other clients from their reviews), I would rather provide warning for others to choose another auto body shop (maybe one that is accredited by the BBB) than to continue to fight for the one day rental charge. I wish the initial experience with CCC continued, but the numerous lies of when my car would be completed, error in ordering correct part, lack of communication, and failure to follow through with their promise (in writing) to make their error correct is why I left this review. read more

If I can save at least one person from doing business at Columbus Collision Center then this review was worth it. I want to start by saying none of this applies to Kali who was responsible giving me updates on my car and answering my questions throughout my process, she was great. When I got my car back from them it looked fine on the outside but when I turned it on a couple of the sensors and warning icons were going off. I went back inside and asked why this was occurring and if my car was actually ready to drive. I was then told if I started driving and the warnings were still present then I should take it to the Honda dealership to see what is actually wrong with it. I started driving down the road from the establishment and immediately turned back around because the warning icons were still going off and they told me again to just drive to the dealership. On my way to the nearest Honda dealership my car completely shut down and I had to get it towed to make it to the dealership (waited 4 hours for the tow). When the dealership finally got a chance to look at what happened to my car, they found there was no antifreeze in the car causing the PCU unit to overheat and then needed to be replaced. I called the collision center to let them know what happened and requested for them to pay for the replacement since they were the ones who did not put antifreeze back in my car. They refused to take responsibility for their mistake and told me I should have gotten my car towed back to them that night (while they were closed) instead of taking it to the dealership (like they told me to). I'm sure this place has done decent work for cars in the past but on the chance they don't get your car right the first time, the Columbus Collision Center showed after they make a mistake, they have no interest in doing the right thing for their customers and leaving you out to dry. read more

The whole team helped me get through one of the worst times of my life. My Mercedes ML350 with low miles was hit in the front drivers side and it was parked. USAA has the insurance of the person that hit the parked vehicle. Lucas handled the insurance well. The whole experience was not as bad as I thought, when the vehicle look awesome and like brand new. ****February 11, 2022 -LENGTHY TIME DATED REVIEW**** On 2/6/22 I was involved in a multicar accident where I was hit from behind by a distracted driver who hit the car behind me, and the car behind me hit me causing damage to my back end of the car. I have never lived in a big city, nor been in this kind of accident before and therefor was not aware, once a police report is made public, any and everyone has access to that police record. Not even 24 hours after the accident, I got many calls about assisting me about my accident, but I ignored those calls until I listed to a voicemail from Diana Fiaz at 9:58am 2/7/22 who stated in her voicemail she was an "Insurance Claims Specialist" who will be assisting me with my claim with All State (insured driver who hit me) and assisting in getting a rental car set up- never happened. Dianna was convincing and made herself out to be like she worked with All State insurance, and never not once mentioned working DIRECTLY for Columbus Collision Center ONLY. During the call, she mentioned that she had the police report up which should have been my 1st RED FLAG. Dianna never asked details about the accident. She persuaded me that she works with an insurance group, insured me my car was not drivable and used insurance claim language to get me to have my car towed to this shop. I signed an "authorization form" for my car to be released to the tow, however #1. It took 7 HOURS for a tow truck to show up to my house. #2- After the accident Monday 2/7/22 I was NOT in the right state of mind to be aware of what was going on, the insurance aspect, nor did I see on the front page of the "Authorization Form" that it states Columbus Collision does not claim to work for or represent any insurance company- In fine print. Needless to say, by Wed 2/9/2022 after some investigation about Columbus Collision, struggling to get in a rental, and much back and forth with insurance parties, I knew something was off, and I was informed through AllState at 4:34pm 2/9/22 that they never took liability of the accident on Monday 2/7/22 AND they never set up for my car to be towed and/or affiliated with this shop. I informed Dianna and Ashley 2/10/22 that I was releasing my car to be towed to the Collision Center through my insurance company and that fees would be paid for by my insurance. My car was never released to the tow of my insurance because of the ridiculous fee's. I went myself 2/11/22 to obtain my car to which Dianna again tried to convince me to keep my car there. **I did call CPD before my arrival for assistance just in case things were to escalate** They took the back bumper off my car and was charged $2,000 for an extensive amount of fees with NO repairs being done, NO description of damages to my car, "estimate fee's", Labor and part fees- Even tho parts were not ordered, lousy administrative fees, COVID 19 Fee- EVEN THO NO ONE WAS WAERING A MASK. From start to finish, Columbus Collision was extremely professional and efficient. When it came to speaking to my adjuster, Debra was more than willing to call alongside me to make sure we got the answers we needed. Unfortunately, my accident happened during a bad snowstorm, and so many cars were coming in that needed extensive repairs. The repair process took several weeks, but during those weeks the members were CONSTANTLY updating us on any changes, extensions or problems occurred. They were never once unprofessional or unclear about anything that was happening. I was extremely happy to be kept in the loop from the beginning of the process to the end. Debra also always encouraged us to call any time we wanted an update or "missed our car", which was absolutely appreciated if we needed an update for any reason. Give them a chance!! read more

So this company took total advantage of me and my situation, they led me to believe they were working with the insurance company that had my claim. When in fact they were not. They had sent me a document for me to sign for them to pick up my car and they repair it. They had the form to me in 10 minutes, my car was picked up within one hour of the confirmation.. which was 35 miles away.. good response time, right? Within that hour I was second guessing they were legit. I called the insurance company... guess what.. they had not even spoken to anybody yet. Columbus collision used thier words in such a manner to manipulate my thoughts. I called them to cancel the order.. well since i signed the agreement for them to pick up my car they had already had it on thier truck and in they way back to thier building.. wow! Response time on towing remarkable... if you need a tow.. call them.. lol. But this was a scam. I had 2 other people ( adjusters and body shops) trying to get my car released.. this all before 2pm. They began to ignore my calls, and calls from my insurance company. At 3pm I called from a differnt number and they answered. Coincidence right... doubt it. Well the charge for me to have someone pick it up with then having it only for 5 hours was $1130. Yes. It cost $490 just for the tow of 32 miles. So I retract that statement of calling them if you need a tow... unless you want to spend $500 minimum for the tow. They would not release my car to the tow company at 4pm. They procrastinated until closing. The tow company called 3 other times. I called and my insurance called.. all calls were either ignored or never recieved a call back. At 3pm the next day after several calls and strategic planning.. and threatening them with getting the police involved, they released my car to the other body shop. Thank you Brittany and Jennifer. After the fact I have found out that they have renamed themselves several times because of thier shady business transactions and manipulation factors. They can stay in business because for little to no work they made $1800 from just towing my car the 32 miles and ignoring calls. Where is the integrity guidelines for that?? We are a trusting family, and have no reason to second guess people. We got lied to and taken advantage of badly, we feel so very hurt and angry. We see here thankfully, that other good people have wanted to Warn others. Diane F and others will tell you everything you want to hear, will be so fake helpful. Once they get your car, they will lie to you and do things without authorization. They will then extort you for money holding your car for ransom. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. My car was in their shop for over 2 months, due to Kia being behind on manufacturing parts. I understand that that isn't their fault, however, on the initial assessment of my vehicle, there was minimal body damage. 2 months after my car was already in the shop, they found more damage including severe damage to my back bumper which wasn't there when I had it towed. They then sent over another estimate to my insurance company without notifying me. The owner stated that they always do 2 assessments on the vehicles that are brought in. Due to the way this situation unravelled, I have reason to believe that they caused the damage to my vehicle and instead of taking accountability, they sent it to my insurance to take care of. Along with this, the majority of staff that I had to communicate with, including the owner, were rude and were not able to answer my questions about what was going on with my vehicle. Recently, after almost 3 months of my car being in their position, my car was sent to a dealership. I was not notified of my car being taken somewhere else and neither was the dealership they towed my car to. I found out my car was taken to this dealership when one of the staff at this new dealership called me to ask if the car belonged to me. He had no idea where my car came from or why it was towed there. When I called Columbus Collision Center to ask about this, they were unpleasant and refused to answer my questions and hung up on me. When I tried to call back, I was sent to voicemail. So, in short, Columbus Collision Center sent an estimate for the parts for my ignition and then sent my car elsewhere to get my ignition fixed. Listen to the lady that posted before me, and ironically her review was around the same time I got into the middle of this BS. First of all, they make you sign a document that basically allows them to forge your signature on any check and keep your car until they're paid. Red flag #1. My car was picked up on a Monday. I was in a rear end no-fault collision the day before. Allstate was paying for the damages. I had personal items to retrieve from my car at their lot on Thursday. I get to my car to find out on the 4th day it's been scattered through, dashcam unhooked, my check book left out, all my financial and warranty papers everywhere - they give you a "free detail" for a reason. Scattered through already, only to find out my car won't be released until another 30 days later. Had a reason, didn't you? Red flag #2. I finally go to pick up my car when con artist Ashley calls me. I get there and some guy unnamed, probably for reasons, greets me to my car. Looks nice, but that's the selling point when you get into an accident and the first thing a frazzled mind does is take in the first offer! That's where these people target their audience to make money ;) too bad all my garbage was scattered in my trunk. We'll get to that later, let's go on. I ask for paperwork. "Nah, you're good to go". Whatever, I was already being charged for my rental for them to dick around, let's go home. Nope, where's my dashcam? Where's my owner's manual? Cellphone holder? Who knows what else is missing, but what else is wrong? Brand new tires running flat by 10 lbs all around, hey, my TMPS was only going off on 700 mile tires! Couldn't even fill the tires, huh. I passed an alignment during my tire installation 2 weeks prior to manufacturer specs. Not anymore. I took my car to Hyundai in Dublin to get my bearings swapped under warranty, "your car is very out of alignment". I went back after I was already mad about the whole no paperwork. I mean, proof my car got fixed after the accident? It's okay, not their problem, right? Now here's the fun part! I go back in there with intention to construct an argument politely for the issues. But not this owner ;) "we don't do alignments" funny, every COLLISION center does alignment with the equipment, not cosmetic centers though! Oh sorry, Columbus Cosmetics Center. "We don't fix sensors, maybe your front dashcam fell out of the back when we were working on it (what???), maybe my mechanic threw those items out, you can go down the road to X and pay for an alignment at X dollars, can't you just have Hyundai print you a new manual and I'll pay for it? We don't offer warranties". Hold on now, where's the warranty for the used parts? Yes, used parts. On my CPO. Allstate paid $1,500 for a used exhaust system; stains, rust and everything. No warranty? Not even 1,000 miles? Not a collision center. Red flag #38. "Well I'll pay for those items, just throw a number at me". I respond, "no I'd rather not overcharge you, I'll collect receipts". Ashley says, "just throw a number at me, we'll write you a check before you leave today!" Wow! What a deal! I saw you shaking there for a second, lol. Maybe you should write me that 6 grand two-party check that you basically manipulated me to pre-sign electronically before you even towed my car! Honestly though, I've read a review on BBB that states this is the same "lady" that tried to physically fight said customer, and I could tell she wanted to fight me too. What a scoundrel. Onwards... Let's talk about the real star of the show, the owner. What a lovely person... owns a business, that's for damn sure since you embezzle money and manipulate people during vulnerable times (ambulance chasers), but beholds no customer service experience whatsoever. You take money automatically regardless of two-party checks (electronic signature for a reason), you tarnish any sort of negative reviews on Google (go ahead and have a laugh by looking at those), you get paid for new parts but install used parts (no wonder you're right next to the impound lot!), you rifle through personal property, and you scam people. ENTIRELY. I honestly feel bad for the people who own new cars that get sent here, because you're about to get fucked like I did. All in all, just drive your car back home and fix it yourself, regardless of your vehicular knowledge, because these people couldn't do any better than you would by yourself with your hands tied behind your back, blindfolded. The amount of time and distraught caused, by this company that I was supposed to trust my car with, is absolutely unacceptable. Worst company I have ever done business with, specifically the owner who was rude and unprofessional. I was lied to on multiple occasions. I emailed and called several times to get the status of my 10% depreciation check. Finally got a response weeks later and was falsely accused of having harmful capsules in my car that one of their workers was "exposed" to. I received no proof that any capsules were in my car or that they were "harmful" in anyway; this is grounds for getting a lawyer involved. I believe this was done so that the company could keep my 10% "depreciation check" I was promised. I was told to fill out an authorization form so work could be done then the work was never done until I called and asked what the status was over the course of three weeks. I was emailed by the owner stating that she did not even want to work on my car and that the whole process had been a waste of time (even though she agreed to take on the work). I felt very uncomfortable that someone who did not want to do to a fair repair on my car had it in their possession leaving me without transportation for about a month. I was stuck in the middle of this company "not being able to get a hold of" the insurance companies while being told from those respective insurance companies that they had not heard from the company. Whenever I called the insurance companies involved, I had no problem reaching them. My assumption is that this company never even tried to call the insurance companies. I love Debra & Ashley they were very very helpful to me, they were very patient very hard working, communication is a big thing to me & that is one thing I can say about them is they communication is ON POINT! Ashley was so kind hearted to me she rushed they whole process just for me to be able to get my vehicle & return back to work. Debra was a excellent person as well that helped me get through the long hard time, she always answered the phone, always returned my calls & always relayed messages to Ashley the manager when I ever I needed her.
