I needed to have a bridesmaids dress hemmed and chose to give this place a try thanks to the great Yelp reviews. I had a seamless (pun intended) experience and would definitely come back! It was a pretty simple hem, but the tailor gave me some great advice on exactly how long it should be in the front and back and the final product was the perfect length. When I dropped it off, he warned me that it's their busy season but ensured he could get it done in the three week deadline I provided. In the end, it only took a week which was a nice surprise! The cost was $70 which was fair in my experience around Boston. Heads up that parking near the shop is a bit tricky without a Cambridge parking permit, but there are a few metered spots nearby if you get lucky. It's totally worth it in the end though, so like I said, I would totally come back again the next time I need some alterations. read more

You would think that coming in on Monday morning at 9:30am with about 2 weeks of time for a suit alteration to lengthen the cuffs would be enough time to do it. Guess not for business. I brought in this super intricate, sparkly dress, 3 days before the event because it was way too long for me. They were able to hem the bottom for me in less than 24 hours! Mind you, the dress is like 4 layers, has sparkly sequins all throughout the dress, and they were able to turn it around in such a short time for $75! They did such a great and neat job on it. Here are some of the wild things I've brought to the owner and what he charged me for it (cash-only!): - pair of white Adidas Ultraboosts that my dog bled ALL over (dog is okay, just clumsy). The shoes sat out covered in blood for a WEEK before I brought them to him. $15 - light grey North Face puffer that I hadn't dry cleaned in 2 years and basically lived in for a whole winter. The ends of the sleeves looked disgusting. $15 - high waisted abercrombie jeans that I wanted lower waisted. it had a button fly instead of a zipper fly and I basically wanted 4 of those buttons moved, but apparently once you take off the buttons you can't reuse them, so he needed to buy new buttons for me too. $20 I'm writing this review because the owner admitted that with everything that's going on (inflation, fewer students/professionals in the area due to remote work, etc), his business is struggling. This is truly an old-school small American business (cash-only, immigrant-owned and operated, no fancy bells and whistles), and the owner has always been so nice to me. English is clearly his second language and he sometimes comes across as gruff, but his face lights up when I bring my dog in to say hi and he's been trusting and let me pay later when I've forgotten to bring cash. The owner is transparent about what he can and cannot do, which I love, because I'm never disappointed. Plus, so far it's never taken him more than 3 days to text me that my stuff is ready for pickup - and I've definitely given him some challenges! They ruined my 300$ garment. When I talked to the owner about it he tried to gaslight me and refused to compensate me as he "saw nothing wrong with the item". Although I agree the item was cleaned, that does not forgive ruining the merino wool fabric which made the piece expensive. read more

I use this place for my cleaning; I've done both dry cleaning and larger laundry jobs here (because who wants to fold after a vacation?). I haven't used the alteration service. I've always gotten my clothes back clean and in a timely manner. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Once when I mislaid a ticket for a suit, he found it anyway. I would be wary of any high-ranked reviews for this business, as someone attached to the company is currently roving Craigslist and Yelp asking users to post good reviews in exchange for money. In general, that sends up red flags for me about any company, so be careful when using this service, as those attached to the business clearly are not above using shady options to make themselves look good or distort public perception. read more

Firstly, I have no idea how this place has received its current 4-star rating. The service here is abysmal both in quality of work and customer service. The saga of my silk shirt started here about 2 months ago. I dropped off my shirt, never to see it again. When I picked it up, it came back with a pink stain. When I called them, no apologies, just bring it back to us and we'll 'fix it'. Yes, exactly what ensued. Another week later, I called and they said it would ready at a specific time. Once I get to the store, they say it's not ready and that they'll call me when it's ready. They never called. Following this, I called them to check on its status. They said "We couldn't get the stain out. It's with the chemical experts now. We'll call you when it's ready." They never called. At this point it's been close to a month. I call them again about the shirt since I needed it for an interview. They now inform me that the chemical experts are unable to remove the stain, and now want to proceed to cutting it up for more tests. CUTTING IT UP! I ended up getting a reimbursement for the shirt, which I probably wouldn't have gotten if I didn't call them. They need to have the decency to update their customers on the status if they intend to stay open. Communication is vital. The best part was when I asked to be reimbursed for the cost of dry cleaning, and their response was oh, don't worry about it. We'll just dry clean your next shirt for free. Are you kidding me? It's one thing to ruin someone's property, it's another to not take responsibility for it. I shouldn't have to harass you to do your job. The bottom line: Take your clothes anywhere else, they'll thank you for it. This place should be closed. read more

We are pretty pumped to have finally tried this dry cleaners around the corner from our house. We got so many things cleaned and fixed and the prize was so incredibly reasonable. I really don't understand how dry cleaning can be so pricey, but even with getting sweaters and jeans mended here (we had some magical holes and whatnot that needed fixing), our total was so so much lower than I thought it would be. We have definitely found our new dry cleaners! Plus they have monthly emailed coupons and discounts too! What could be better? And they get you your clothes back quickly too. This place may seem small when you are there, but they definitely know how to get the job done and will do so with speed and your credit card won't be in too much pain either! They will pretty much try and fix anything for you, and they seem so so helpful, so you all should check them out. An interesting place that is half flower shop, half dry cleaner. I brought a fancy suit and a shirt. The suit had a bunch of stains and they did a great job cleaning them up. My complains are that 1) the place is a mess. It's usually the case fro dry cleaners, but I feel like this place was messier than average, with random bags covering the floor, old signs in the corners... 2) the people working there also work at the flower shop. That means that they come pick up your clothes with hands full of dirt. It made me cringe a little. But again, they did a great job on the actual cleaning part, so if they tried a little bit harder on the store front side, it would be the perfect place! read more

So. Needed to rush dry cleaning for my wife and decided to try these guys based on the Yelp reviews. The good, in by 9:30 back by 5. Good so far. The not-so-good. While the suit seems adequately cleaned, it was still a bit wrinkled. Definitely did not have the fresh-from-cleaners look. But what's worse is that the white blazer came back with black marks, creased collar (when the collar is not creased) and *very* wrinkled. Utter fail. Sad b/c would have loved to have had a reliable cleaner in the neighborhood. Gonna stick with our regular Dry Cleaners, even though they're a mile away! read more

I have been going here throughout my college career and have always received great service (great stain removal, great same day service, etc.); today, however, I received EXCEPTIONAL service. On Saturday afternoon, I forgot to pick up my tails for a white tie event I had on Sunday evening. After Mid Cambridge Cleaners was closed on Saturday (and knowing that it would also be closed on Sunday), I called the owner and left a message explaining my situation. He answered me and asked for the time of my event before he gave me a time to come in the next day to pick up my outfit. Customer service cannot get much better than that! read more

They are a fast and friendly dry cleaner and have competitive prices. I typically use they because they're convenient but when I had a problem with a torn hook on my pants they took them back and sent them to the tailors without a hassle.
