One of the units is out of order, so I scrambled to find a laundromat nearby where I could get a wash and fold drop-off service while I ran errands for my new apartment. I had never gotten a drop-off service before. I came across this laundromat and the lady working at the cash register told me the price for the service was $72 (comforter was $30 which is a flat price, clothes/sheets were $42 because it's $3 per pound). She told me it would be ready at 3pm, which is when the establishment closes on Saturdays. I left with a sigh of relief. I ran errands for a few hours and lost track of time, but luckily when I called at around 4pm, the same lady was still working due to the high volume of drop-off services. She was so kind as to let me come pick up my stuff (knowing that the establishment is closed on Sunday) and she was very sweet! The price she told me upfront was exactly what I had to pay. When I got home, my clothes, sheets, and comforter were perfectly folded, and it was so easy to just put everything in the right place. I'm absolutely coming here more often, but I'll just do self-service.

It's a pretty spacious design with several washers and dryers of different sizes and relatively clean space, also not too busy for a Sunday morning. Could definitely use clearer instructions though, especially for how to dry beyond 10 minutes --we luckily figured it out but it might be frustrating for first timers. Also major tip: it's cash only for the card which we didn't know ahead of time and there was no-one from management on site to help. We are incredibly grateful to Yafa for generously spotting us with enough so my friend could get everything done before having to catch her flight. When we tried to pay them back--they gifted her some fresh bread instead! Doing laundry never felt so heart warming and we left feeling that this laundromat's best feature is proximity to a place that believes that kindness is just as nourishing as the food that they serve.

Okay, I am new to Cambridge and needed to find a place to clean some dresses from Thanksgiving. So I threw my clothes into my car and set out on my errands that Friday. I came across Mid Cambridge Cleaners by accident as they are new and I saw them driving from Inman Square on Cambridge Street. Was able to make a U-turn and park right in front (that's a new experience for me in Cambridge). They are new and definitely need more decorations, but that is may only suggestion for improvement so far. I was greeted warmly by the owner who welcomed me to Cambridge when I told him I had just moved to the City. I told him I had spilled some food on a couple of dresses over the holiday. He asked if I knew what types of food and typed all the information into the computer. He then asked if I had any coupons. When I told him I did not he handed me a page of coupons helping me save a couple of dollars (always good). He told me that everything should be down by Tuesday but would email me if done earlier. Monday morning I got an email that my clothes were done and that I couple pick them up whenever I wanted. Stopped in on Wednesday and was greeted warmly again by name. I know they're new, but its still nice to have someone remember your name. He pointed to where the stains had been and were removed and showed me where I had a slight spot remaining from red wine which I could hardly see but it was nice to have it pointed out. What really impressed me though was He had a coupon for December where you save money by bringing in cans and non-perishable goods for a food pantry. What a nice idea for the holidays. I needed a dress altered, I brought the dress in four weeks before the event just in case it took a while. However, they informed me at the consultation that they'd be able to complete the dress within a week. Surely enough, I got a text in about a week saying the dress is ready for pick up. When I picked it up, I thought it looked amazing. This was my first perfect alterations experience- it looked exactly like how I had requested and the stitching was done really nicely. I thought the price was fair, it cost $60 to take the dress in because it was a delicate material. This location is CASH ONLY! I forgot and had to go to a nearby walgreens ATM. They had informed me to bring cash initially so this was my mistake. Overall I am really happy with the service and will be going here again! read more

Was in town staying at Irving House (which is awesome) and had to extend my stay. Tried these guys out and they are new. Very friendly and helpful. Dropped my clothes off on a Monday and was asked if I had any coupons and was given one to save me money. Was told clothes would be ready Wednesday afternoon but they would email me if available sooner. Got an email Tuesday and had my clothes that evening. Also provided me with a couple of good ideas for dinner in the neighborhood. (These guys had notes on neighborhood happenings and were happy to help me out.) Great service, very friendly and helpful. Will be talking with my regular dry cleaner in New Jersey about sending emails. read more

a while ago i needed a button hole on a shirt repaired. i went across the street to my usual cleaner repair shop and was told they were unable to do it because the repair machine was unable to do the work. so i walked down the street to mid cambridge cleaners and mr cako said the same thing but he said he would do it anyway. its that kind of attitude that has made me a regular customer. he has done a great job keeping my old jeans in top shape and i am glad i have been able to give him my business thanks subi i appreciate your work jon hallstrom read more

I know rating a place the same a second time isn't really an update but they saved my favorite light pink silk dress that got a little roughed up at a recent wedding. At the end of the day, we all want a dry cleaners who gets the job done, but when the seemingly impossible is done, and done quickly and reasonably, well, I have my favorite pink dress back and I will wear it again, and that was only a faint hope when I dropped it off. read more

Not only is all the work done on premise at Eagle, but they have never once broken a button on one of my shirts, or pressed them with the collar stays in, or burned anything. The couple who run this shop are really nice, and they do excellent repairs as well. Also, when I'm walking my dog, they don't mind if I bring him inside with me when I pick up or drop off. They only take cash and sometimes don't have much change, but if they don't have enough $1's they will just add on the difference to your next bill if that's ok with you. Overall, A++++

I discovered Linh Cleaners and have been a loyal customer ever since. However, this loyalty did not come without its challenges and drama. Linh would often make excuses for the extra stains found on your clothes while in his care, whether a sweater was ruined or had particles on it or if he misled you after you provided specific instructions on how you wanted your jacket or pants hemmed. Linh tends to do as he pleases, and when he damages your belongings or fails to clean them properly, it's somehow your fault. He also loves to pass judgment on you if you are a person of color based on the experiences of other people of color who have frequented his business. For someone like me who brings him clothes every week for dry cleaning and outfits to be tailored, he often makes remarks like, "Oh, you are fancy," "You party a lot, or You like money." Unbeknownst to him, I am in ministry, and as a minister, I take great pride in keeping my shirts clean and my suits fresh. I ignored this because I needed my clothes cleaned, and he was a 10-minute walk from my home. After six brand new jackets were sent to him to be tailored four, he did his way, ignoring my instructions. He soiled a brand new white collar shirt and said, "It was the material or something I wore." Two brand new chinos with tags sent for him to be tailored ended up with oil stains on them, and he said I didn't notice the stains when I purchased them (Yea, I know)! All of the stuff he ruined he never offered a refund. LINH is a lousy businessman, liar, racist, and narcissistic person. If you value your belongings and work hard for them, avoid doing business at all costs. He will never admit his wrongs and would rather lose business. Why did it take me three years? Because I do not like change, and I am an optimistic person who is loyal to a fault! But its 2025 And I chose me! Do not bring your clothes to LINH CLEANERS. He doesn't care about your stuff, just the money.
