We decided to check out Paris Banh Mi for a quick meal after our cruise and before hitting the road for Tampa. For starters, Paris Banh Mi was located conveniently close to our temporary lodging at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood/Davie. Being essentially around the corner from the resort, Paris Banh Mi is a great option for those craving bag-getty sammich of the Vietnamese varietal or a milk/tea specialty drink. Parking here is a no-brainer. There's a public lot that it shares with the other businesses of the plaza with more than ample parking. As you walk inside, you'll definitely find a Vietnamese/Asian dining vibe. The bright lighting and neon glow gives an intimate-casual ambience that one would find in Southeast Asia. There is ample seating suited for parties up to 4 persons, however, I imagine that you can put together tables for larger groups. The ordering counter wraps around in a L-shaped configuration around the seating area, giving it a diner feel. Paris Banh Mi offers a rather expansive menu along with weekly/daily specials. As their name alludes to, their specialty is in Banh Mi (a type/style of Vietnamese sandwich). However, they also offer your traditional Vietnamese cuisine dishes such as pho and bun bo hue, amongst others. Complementing this menu is the specialty drinks menu that offer their house take/twist to some traditional boba tea drinks as well as Vietnamese coffee. We ordered the BBH and bun rieu which were both ok, however, the specialty drinks stole the show that night. The restaurant host was extremely nice and patient, helping us navigate our order, which made the dine-in experience all the more enjoyable. I had read a review of this place's Bahn mi on Facebook- and everyone there agreed that it was great: so having loved the Pork Bahn mi in Hanoi, where we hunted different spots to find our favorites, and never again (it's been 2 years since our last one!!) I decided it was time to see how good they were. Today we finally made it to that area and I remembered my Bahn mi quest: it was time to try!! So we ordered 2 of the pork Bahn mi to go. It took about 7 minutes to get our deliciously wrapped sandwiches and like 10 minutes to get home from there. The bread was still warm when we unwrapped them. The bread... ahhh sooooo goood! Their French baguette is as it should be: crunchy and soft inside: and the amount of pork in the sandwich was perfect! I always thought that the ones in Vietnam should have more meat: well I was right! This one is now my #1 pork Bahn mi ! I have to add that the pickled veggies just add that sweet spicy touch that was perfection . My only regret is that we both ordered the same Bahn Mi! We should have ordered different types to try more options! But we both wanted the pork one, and neither of us wanted to share... so I guess we will have to go back to order more sandwiches The shop is big and comfortable. It is noisy inside because there's some echo, given that there's a lot of room for customers, so you will be comfortable when you come eat here as well- there's tables for everybody. The best Bun Bo Hue (BBH), it's so hard for my to find decent BBH, but I feel like this one hits the spot any time of the day. All of the flavors blend so well, so many meat options, all so tasty. My favorite sandwich is the B7, pate & bbq pork, make sure you get it toasted. Super delicious. On vacation my family stopped by for a meal. Top 5 places we go to when we're in town for sure. I got the mi quang, a Northern Viet dish with tumeric noodles, and it was BOMB. Sooo delicious. The menu is so big, you're bound to find something you'll like. They also have a great selection of ready-to-eat food, but if you can stay for a sit down meal I recommend it. This place was great. I had been told by the lady that cuts my nails that it was authentic and really good. She was right! I thought the vegetarian banh mi was absolutely great. My friend had the special pho and he walked away a very happy person. While there try the Banh Flan which was also, very, very good. This is not a table service restaurant, so please keep that in mind: order and then sit and wait for it. Menu is a touch limited but what they do have is fantastic. My office placed a takeout order from this restaurant today, and I have mixed feelings about the food. Since I can only review the food, and not customer service, setup, or cleanliness, I'll review what we ordered, which were banh mi sandwiches and fried wings. We ordered a total of 8 banh mi and 3 orders of fried wings, which were delivered to our office within an hour of placing order. I'm not sure if each sandwich was supposed to come with its own sauce or if there was a specific dipping sauce for the wings, we received 2 small containers of what seemed like a sweet chili sauce and one container of what looked like a spicy mayo. The bread on the banh mi sandwiches was very crunchy, it will do a number on the roof of your mouth! The chicken and pork fillings were seasoned and flavorful however. The wings were crunchy and cooked well, and had a nice flavor. I'll update this review when I get a chance to visit the restaurant and dine in, but for now, my thoughts are that the food is just okay. Wow this place is so delicious, and as a Viet family, that means high praise! I got the grilled chicken rice plate (photo), but my family also got the My Quang, Bun Bo Hue, the grilled pork rice plate, and the special combination banh mi. The My Quang was genuinely the best I have had in America (and I live in LA so that's serious!) and I was very impressed with the crispness and flavor of the banh mi. The service was exceptional, very friendly and fast. The ambiance was also lovely, reminding me of a very typical family owned Vietnamese restaurant that is lively with a lot of other Vietnamese families enjoying delicious food. Also have to mention that the owner is Vietnamese and sources her seasonings from Vietnam (which makes sense because that My Quang broth was out of this world amazing.) Great food, went first a couple of weeks ago for the banh mi and asked which the counter recommended. They did a great selection with their B1 special as it had the works. And also ordered a Paris By Night Boba Tea. Bother were pretty good. I returned last night with my wife and ordered the cash register's recommendation of R4 from the Rice Combo Plate and it comes with a small veggie soup, rice, three meats, some noodles, sweet and sour sauce liquid, and some slaw. Everything was flavorful and I recommended that plate for anybody wanting to try something new aside from banh mi and tea. I also got the Piña Colada tea with no boba and that was my favorite as well better than Paris By Night. I will be returning to try more. My wife ordered their Pho and that was a huge serving along with some chicken wings which were extra crispy crunchy and seasoned well. I've visited Orlando's Paris Banh Mi and I was impressed by the food and selection of snacks. Davie location is definitely not as stocked up on snacks but they still offer different street foods and sandwiches. Including a delicious ice coffee (their version of cafe sua da). The banh mi here are a little different than other banh mi restaurants because they are on a French style baguette versus a crispy Vietnamese style baguette. The banh mi here are very good and I love the pate that they use ! This visit I tried the B9 special which is basically the special banh mi but on a croissant. It was very tasty! The best flavors of a banh mi but on a buttery croissant. I will mention- That it was hard to eat, as it was fell apart in my hands. I wish it was wrapped in paper rather then placed in a plastic container. Another important detail to mention is that the prices posted on the board are CASH prices. If you pay by card, there's about 3% up charge. So bring cash to save your self a few bucks. read more
