Combat Paintball Park is one of those hidden gems in Castaic. I've been to Warped Paintball Park. I can say Combat stands out. For me personally I've been looking for a new and consistent sport lately. When I found out that Combat has a membership. I was instantly hooked. I got the Silver Membership which is $40/month plus initiation fee of $50 and another $50 for let say 2000 Paintballs- which stretches per month per 4 days= 1 player. So it's $140 starting- but it gets better. $90 per month without the initiation. Personally to be honest- I'd find other cheaper venues for Paintballs but that's just me. Anyways, when you have the silver membership it's great because then you get free entry every time- which includes gun and mask. Also you get free air. Up to 12 free guest passes. Some blackout dates. In terms pros: - Easy access route off the 5 freeway -9 playable fields -Parking -Benches -Shade -Testing range -Balanced fields -Professional field -Easy check in process -Two refill air stations - Vast Castaic landscape -Refs are friendly, knowledgeable, and fair (Shout out to Matthew) -Allowed to bring own paint & gun -Multiple game opportunities throughout day. -Organized So overall I'd like to give Combat- 5 Stars. 1 Star for the Staff. 1 Star for the Location. 1 Star for the Pros I listed out. 1 Star for the Membership option. 1 star just because Combat is there in Castaic. The best time ever! This was the most fun my team ever had on an outing and there where so many different areas to play paint ball in. Very cool place to play paintball! Castaic is a bit closer to my home in Pasadena then say Moorpark or Santa Clarita or Corona where all the other cool parks are so that's a major plus! The playing fields are pretty good and their facilities are adequate. CPP also has a lot of cool promotional deals if you sign up for their mailing list, which I did. I played for free as a self equipped player due to a promotion going on. Can't argue with free! The only reason why I give this place 3 stars is because the people who play there cheat. People cheat in walk on paintball everywhere and I know all about it as I have been playing for over 10 years. But the cheating going on at this place the day I was there was excessive. People wiping hits and shooting super hot. So hot that paintballs were breaking skin through my padded jersey and one ball even chipped paint off of my marker! Never seen that one before! All 4 friends I went with were bloodied by hot paintballs by the end of the day. Seemed like all the regulars were shooting over 300 fps. Especially the ones using older mechanical guns (cockers, mags etc...). Brought this to the attention of the ref and nothing was done. I would go back but I would go solo. I wouldn't want to subject any of my friends or lesser experienced players to getting lit up by a bunch of unchecked cheaters. It's just not safe. Too bad because it is a cool place. Maybe if the refs get more involved in the games it will discourage the cheating. read more

Always have a great time here!! Been trying to go every weekend and have had nothing but great service. The park is busy but they always will make time for you if you have any technical problems or questions. The fields are great and mostly very balanced. Only complaint is that it feels somewhat over crowded on games and some days It feels like it takes forever between games. Very unfair place the staff show way too much favoritism to there regulars (walkons) and treat the rentals like crap they get a thrill off seeing the rentals get hurt by the regulars, they mix them up all because the staff is lazy they even let them use frozen paintballs and let them shoot people on purpose even after there out I got into a confrontation with one of there regulars named Richard and the staff still allowed him to stay in after he violated every single rule. I love this park. Combat has made a lot of improvements since it was CPP previously. Many of the updates were sorely overdue and the result is that the space is so much nicer and more functional. The newer airball field is nice and with the lights this is where they do Friday Night lights on Friday nights for walk on airball play. It's very fun and they just match folks up. It's very popular and lots of people were there the first time I went. During the busiest part of the night they teams were sometimes 10 vs 10 or so at a time. The games typically run pretty quickly with only a brief pause sometimes to add some more air to some of the bunkers and they have a portable leaf blower that gets the job done fairly quickly. The paint they were selling was decent and people were pretty chill. The last game of the night they did Iron Man style where you can go back to respawn essentially and jump back in the game. This is rather unique and makes folks brave enough to make some bold moves they maybe wouldn't otherwise. The people watching from the sidelines really cheered people on that made these types of moves and the comradery from that made it even better! it was SOOO much fun! That was my favorite part of the night and the overall experience and that's what it's all about, the experience. So definitely gather or come on your own lone wolf style like I did that night a few weeks back and let her rip! You won't be disappointed! read more

Great place to take family (if you have boys) for a weekend fun. It was my and my wife's first time trying paint ball and second time for my boys. We got some bruises at places where we got shot at, not a big deal (for me but my wife didn't like it) which stayed for a week or so. read more

I love the changes management has made to Combat, new fields that rock, better shade, steps to the field and a great crew. We've done walk-on and private games, all loads of fun. Management is easy to work with for setting up private games. Walkon has a very diverse group which enables loads of fun. The refs are top notch and make sure everyone has fun. I have never had a bad day there and love how many people show up. You may go by yourself but after a couple rounds you'll be playing with friends! read more
