We have been customers with Xfinity / Comcast for 2 years, mainly because there were limited options available in our area and we liked the idea of combining our mobile and internet services for convenience. Unfortunately, what we hoped would make life easier has turned into an ongoing nightmare. We specifically chose the highest and fastest internet package available because I work remotely from home full-time for a law firm, and we also have multiple gamers in the house with anywhere from 10-15 devices connected regularly. Despite paying for premium service, our internet has been terrible. Using more than one device at a time slows everything down. I've experienced lag during Zoom meetings with my manager while working, and my husband and son are constantly being kicked out of games because of connection issues. At times, the speed honestly feels like 1984 dial-up internet. Over the last several months, they have sent out 3 technicians trying to fix the issue. They swapped and "upgraded" the modem, and even dug up and replaced the lines from our house to the box on our fence, yet the problems still continue. What made things even worse was one of the technician visits. The technician knew we had a dog but negligently left our gate unlocked after accessing the yard. Our AKC registered champion English Bulldog got out and was attacked by a German Shepherd. Both dogs were injured and required emergency weekend vet visits. Since the attack, my bulldog has not been the same and clearly seems traumatized by the experience. The supervising technician said the employee underneath him was new and an independent contractor, but locking a gate behind you is common sense, especially when you know there is a dog in the home. That could have just as easily been a child getting out. To their credit, they did personally come apologize, but that does not undo the trauma caused to our dog. Most recently, we relocated and transferred our services. Somehow they completely messed up our account and split it into two separate accounts. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with customer service just trying to get them merged back together. During that process, they also downgraded me from Platinum member status to Gold status for no reason whatsoever. Because of that downgrade, I lost my Peacock subscription that was included with Platinum membership benefits. They submitted a "ticket" to supposedly fix it, but after everything else we've dealt with, I have very little confidence it will actually be corrected. After years of issues, it honestly feels like we've been punished for staying loyal customers. Now that we live in an area with more provider options, we will absolutely be switching both our internet and mobile services elsewhere. Between the poor internet quality, constant unresolved issues, account problems, and the negligence involving our dog, this has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I have ever dealt with. read more

My mom is an elderly widow on a fixed income. My dad had a business contract with them but died one year before it expired. She has been on the phone trying to cancel since October. She was told to return the router. She sent them back the router and has the mailing receipt. They keep billing her, calling her, giving her conflicting stories, and denying that they got the router . They insist that my dad had to cancel the account. But he is DEAD. And they keep charging her. Then they referred her to a debt collection agency that called her today. Luckily the person took her off that list after hearing her story. I told her to contact her lawyer. This is harassment and elder abuse. Their service that we had in their house was poor as well. There should be a class action lawsuit given the number of people who have had such experiences trying to cancel their accounts! read more

I cancelled service and they continued to bill me for months afterward. I called twice and both times they assured me that I wouldn't be billed any more. Of course I continued to receive bills. Somehow they found an old credit card I had on file and continued to bill that card also. We just discovered another charge on a card my wife used to use. This is nothing short of criminal. Do not use Comcast ever, even if they are the last internet service provider left after a catastrophic nuclear war and it is the only way you can contact anyone to avoid radioactive acid rains that will kill you and your entire family. Rating for the actual service- 8: Rating for all of my calls for service- 7: Rating for my last call to cancel service because our business closed - 1 I was sent to the "loyalty department " on the call. I thought that was a joke, but it obviously isn't. I have had business service for 13 years with comcast. The monthly fee has risen to $750/mo and I find out that I have to give 30 days notice to cancel my account. That's 4 weeks of additional charges that I CANNOT use because my business is closed, and I have to return the cable boxes myself this week. I was a loyal customer and avoided switching service, but comcast lost my loyalty when they charged for services I will not use. I have no way to use the service, comcast does NOT incur any expense from me during that time, and I question whether it is legal, ethical, and even moral to charge me after my business is closed and the equipment has been returned. I cannot in good conscience recommend any other business go through this and get charged when they eliminate your service and switch to Allo. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and incompetent service from Comcast Business. They make endless promises, but when it comes to actually transferring a phone line from another vendor, all they do is pass you from one representative to another--no one takes responsibility or gets anything done. I'd rate them Comcast Business zero if that was possible. I'm moving to an area not service by Comcast and contacted customer service about an early contract termination. They said I had to pay the current month service fee plus $140 for early contract termination (7 months remaining on a 3 year contract). They sent Docusign contracts to sign, I returned them and they said they would bill me for the early termination. Feb. 28 I got a bill for standard service, including modem rental even though I had returned the modem on Feb. 3, 2026. I reviewed original 3 year my service contract and they hadn't even abided by it. I should have paid $139.94/month from Sept. 1, 2023 through Sept. 1, 2024, and then $154.94 for the next 12 months. Instead, the rate went up after 3 months and has continued to increase beyond the contract scope. The contract rate was 100Mbps, but Comcast seems to have justified the rate hikes by upping the data rate to 350Mbps along with higher monthly fees, none of which I had agreed to. So far (38 days after filing a disconnection notice), I have heard nothing about my service disconnect agreement and they still want the $180/month service fee. Comcast is arrogant, dishonest, and untrustworthy. I will never do business with them again and no one else should, either. read more

In following an outage that we had on Monday 2 consecutive days with no phones, no email, no internet, how do you run your business? Comcast is by far the absolute worst company to deal with. If you just need something simple and basic, they can probably take care of it smoothly, but you will be paying a very high cost. I only hope that issues don't come up for you, including switching addresses, changing services or altering the current service. Don't even think about signing up for their Comcast business! Poor business! After setting up a new WiFi network, within 1-2 months the service was upcharged without notice. An up-charge of which was $225 a month for internet only. This is ridiculous as it was initially quoted for $137. This is horrible horrible service. I canceled my service and was charged $1017.46 for a termination fee. Terrible For Small Businesses If you are a small business, don't use Comcast. Firstly, you'll find just as good of internet for a fourth of the price. Secondly, their contracts are extremely unforgiving and binding for a small business. If your business fails, things change, or you need to move plans (all things that are very likely as you are starting out) they will not let you out of the agreement or let you change your plan. You have to "buy out" of it which for me is over $500. These prices can be devastating for a small business. Customer service is terrible, I've spoken to 3 people now, and every one told me something different. I finally canceled my plan last month and was told very clearly that I wouldn't be charged for next months bill. Here we are and now I'm being charged for another month, even though I cancelled and returned my modem over 3 weeks ago. How is it you can make someone pay for a service they do not even have? I've switched to T-Mobile and the service is great, people are great, and price is great. Don't use Comcast. read more

Comcast is a big company that effectively cheats individuals and small businesses out of money just because they can. The service was not great to begin with. They increased our bill by a huge percentage without warning. And they charged us for another month of service that we literally could not use because we had shipped back their modem as they requested. The agent I spoke to said we would not be charged another month if we returned the modem immediately, which I did. When I called to request a refund, I spoke with someone who had no authority and who could not transfer me to a supervisor. Five times a tech has come to my house to install cable to connect me to the Internet, and five times, they don't have the right cable--, they call a supervisor and dispatch to leave notes for the next job order, and each time, they still show up without the right cable. Question: How many Xfinity techs does it take to install cable? Answer: more than five, apparently. The absolute worst company to deal with. Trying to get a hold of this company is next to impossible if you are having an issue where they magically raised your rates. Supposedly I am supposed to 150mbs for download, when in reality I average about 30mbs on a good day. Peak times, I get under 5mbs. They continually slow streaming such that I can barely watch netflix around 7pm nightly. Across the street they get 1Gps download, but my neighborhood NO. And my neighborhood pays a higher rate since it is an older neighborhood. Unfortunately we living a monopoly banana republic and this this only crappy service I get in my neighborhood. I came back from vacation to find that my account was deactivated. I looked at the app and it said I have an overdue balance even though I have autopay & have never missed a payment. I paid the balance & it didn't work. I've now talked to 9 different customer service reps, and every single person has said the prior person's "fix" was incorrect. Now they are trying to charge me $100 to have a tech come out even though it was a tech not using my apartment number correctly the first time that messed this whole thing up. I don't understand why I can't get my same package reinstated and why they are trying to charge me more now. This has been an absolutely terrible experience & I don't understand how a loyal customer for over 2 years would be treated like this. I work from home and now I've been without internet at my house for 2 days, with no solutions in sight. I finally had to go drive to an Xfinity store to pick up a new modem and they STILL tried to upsell me at the store after hearing my troubles. This company is a joke. read more

COMCAST BUSINESS IS A SCAM AND A RIP OFF! At the end of October 2024, I switched my internet carrier to Quantum, I had been a steady customer of Comcast Business since 2012. I switched because Comcast, after years of reliable service, was constantly going down and performance was poor. My bill from Comcast arrived dated from November 09, 2024 thru December 8, 2024. On November 11 I contacted Comcast to disconnect my Comcast service, after allowing Quantum time to make sure everything was working. After a run around to keep me from disconnecting, the service rep finally sent me the cancellation paperwork for online signature. I was advised that they would be sending me a UPS label in a couple of days. No mention was made that I would be required to pay for the full 30 days since I was already 2 days into the billing cycle. And the UPS label never arrived. Finallyy on Nov 20 I took the modem to UPS, after also disconnecting my home Comcast/Xfinity account. Today, 11/5/24, I received a bill indicating that I was past due on my November bill, and also billed from December 9, 2024 to January 8, 2025! I haven't used their service since the end of October, and all equipment was returned! Upon calling them, after waiting 30 minutes for them to answer, I was advised that I had to pay since they require 30 days notice upon cancellation. Comcast is a RIP OFF! read more

Be aware, any change you make to a comcast business account will restart the contract 2 years. I'm having to move to Flordia they don't offer services there and are now charging me $900 to disconnect the service. Their service is not great, when you complain they do nothing.. just reboot.
