I've never felt compelled to leave a bad review, normally I just make a note to avoid a business if something doesn't meet my expectations. However, comcast in Sacramento has forced me to leave this review. I've travelled to small African towns which have had better internet than this. I am not joking even slightly when I say this is worse than the internet you'd find in a 3rd world country. - The internet goes out every day, multiple times a day - Sometimes it goes out for days on end - Comcast always gives me the same excuse "oh we have a line issue, we're fixing it I hope you don't rely on your internet for anything, because if you do, you are almost certain to be let down. I am averaging anywhere from 0.09 to 4mbps. Yes, you read that correctly, 0.09mbps, it feels like I've gone back in time to the early 90's. I have called multiple times about the poor internet in our house, we're told " have you unplugged or tried resetting your box?" Wow, how insightful and helpful that has been..... beyond those wonderful words of wisdom, we have been given zero help into the piss poor internet service inside of our home. This is a three year old problem btw Cartoon Network was recently removed from our service package. Sweet, way to go Comcast ...... when I tried to call to cancel because of these complaints the women I spoke to could care less. So Comcast lied about the offer they gave to renew my plan. When I called and talked to an agent. A guy named Brian from sales as well as Steve from the loyalty department said that, the best they can do was offer the $74.99 a month deal for a "loyal" customer. The $65 dollar a month plan only applies to "new customers". It doesn't say anywhere on their website that the offer i saw only applies to new customers. Comcast tech support is the WORST! First, the Comcast Website doesn't even try to hide the fact it's trying to prevent you from reporting an outage. Why not just have button we can press to report an outage? Why force customers to "chat" with someone who hasn't been trained in diagnosing an outage and who's only goal is to try to distract you with an offer for a lower rate. The tech's response to an pretty obvious outage was "Well unfortunately it looks like your modem is broken. Go buy a new modem. There is nothing wrong on our end. But if you act right now I can offer you this sweet deal to get your 100 more mbs for half the price your paying now." Lemme get this straight. I just told you my internet is out and you told me: 1) It's not Comcast's problem. 2) Go spend $100 on a new modem 3) But before you go... let me tell you about how you can buy more stuff from us. Umm... yeah... no thanks. Spoiler alert... 30 minutes after our chat ended, Comcast finally acknowledged the outage but didn't bother to tell me not buy that new modem! Luckily I knew better than to listen to Comcast customer support and judging by the 1 star reviews and I'm not the only one. The tech found that no wire running into the house. Couple days later then sent some guys to run the underground cable. And couple days later, and couple days later. Wow. I canceled my cable service today. They won't even bother to come out and pick up my cable box, cable and remote control. Pitiful! They expect me to ship it back to them! I'm canceling, of course, because of their high bill and bad customer service and refusal to lower my bill. And now they won't even retrieve their equipment! Absolutely appalling! It's just wrong what they do! And $61 for limited basic cable, less than 20 channels and I only really watch 4 channels, just too much. At first they charged me $47, then a few months later raised it to $54 and then again they raised it to $61. All in a a time frame of less than 2 years. ZERO STARS. I am an IT Tech; I have repaired their services myself many times. I have moved and cancelled my services. I have Fiber Optics internet, 4 TV's with a whole house DVR, all in HD. We lived in a 30-year-old apartment near Franchise tax board, Folsom Bl/Butterfield Way. 1. Internet goes down every morning for about an hour between 4-7 am. 2. We needed a " signal Booster box " with about 6 extra b n g coax cables because they would rather spend the $$ for a tech to show up about 10 times a month to repair services, than re wire the building(s) and be done with it, so several people would not have services they have paid a HUGE price for. It looked terrible in the corner of my front room behind my end table. 3. Their outside equipment is junk, and when they send a repair dude, they charge whomever calls first $10-$100 hoping they can get away with charging for their own equip repair, hoping you are on auto pay, or you are not paying attention. I had to get credits an average of 3-5 times a year for this, and they want you to pay the whole balance, then get a credit a couple month later, or you can pay an EXTRA monthly fee to warranty your house wiring/equipment. 4. They are the ONLY utility company that charges a MONTH IN ADVANCE!!!! 5. Their " bundle discount(s) on their bills are impossible to understand. 6. 250 HD channels, and 2 TV's, their second fastest internet package, but I have to bundle it with home phone, that I never purchased and hooked up a phone to. $175/Month. 7. My mother moved into assisted living. Three jacks had her phone number. Her number was transferred fine after an hour on the phone and meeting them in person for another hour, but the jacks were not restored to our house number. Over an hour on the phone and they can't figure it out and have to send a technician over. Meanwhile, they cut off my mother's phone number - she is disabled and the phone is her lifeline. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Comcast has the absolute worst internet service and customer service. We recently dropped the TV service from the internet/TV bundle and replaced their modem with our modem. No sooner than we did that, the internet service became slow and dropped about 50% of the time. There is only one desk top and one laptop. The desktop is connected by cable. The laptop connected by WiFi. Called in. Got disconnected while explaining the problem and had to call back. Every time you call in for customer service it is a maze of explaining why, telling them who you are, repeatedly providing account information, and begging to get to a live person. Had to do that twice. Finally, the person on the phone admitted there was a problem and not just their typical "stupid customer" excuse. They sent a tech. He came out and found an actual physical problem. When he left he said to call his supervisors if the problem returned--there was a 30-day "warranty" on the work. Strange, I know. Warranty for repairing their own line? Seemed fishy. About 24 hours later the problem resurfaced and progressively got worse. Tried calling the "supervisors" the tech provided. No response from either of them. Called Comcast. They refused to acknowledge there was a physical problem that needed a tech and went through their "remote troubleshooting". Am still waiting for them to let me speak with a live person so as to get a tech out. The sad part is that this is not an unusual experience with Comcast. As they are the only provider in my area, I have no choice. So, I've dealt with their high costs and poor service. It's just their standard way of doing since they are a virtual monopoly. read more

Switch my phone service to Xfinity mobile haven't had mobile data since the switch. Try to contact it and customer care department. The IT department is the third world country who reads off of the list and then when they can't figure it out they stop messaging you at all.
