As someone who is extremely "technically challenged", I dreaded going in to pay my bill on that machine and get my cable changed to my new house. Thank goodness Angel (that is his name but he really IS an angel) was there to walk me through it and answer questions that I didn't even know that I had! Absolutely horrible there is no way to get through without an automated service or going online You can't speak to a representative. The service is horrible The technicians are great but the actual service itself not worth the money I never have service constantly worrying about the modem and I run a business off of it. I've been trying to close the account of an apartment I lived in for only 6 months 7 YEARS AGO!! No one is ever able to figure out how to shut it off and I've yet to find an agent who can figure it out. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone that can help and there is no way to reach the Key West office directly. It's always a call center in another country. read more

Come home after a long day of eating and drinking (nothing new) to find our cable was out of whack. Of about 60 channels only 3 or 4 work and the rest were either solid black or peach (never had a peach colored screen before). I called customer service to learn that they made the change to digital service in the lower keys (meaning ALL televisions either need a cable box or a digital converter). Good news is the government forced cable companies to give one box and two converters to each home for free (and that is all we needed). Bad news you have to come to this Comcast location to pick up the goods. Cop cars all over the parking lot. About four cops spread around the building. Since Comcast in located in BB&T bank building, I just assumed the bank got robbed. Nope, they are there to keep annoyed customers (like me) from getting out of hand. They had an outdoor check-in (with policewomen greeter) and then numbered stations in different offices in the building. So of course I thought this was going to go smooth. Not so much. Recently I had to replace a cable card for my Tivo. They are free but Comcast gave me two and said "they are junk so take an extra so you don't have to come back". And that is how this turned out. The volume button on one remote wouldn't lower the volume (possibly a tv issue though) and the cable box died after a couple nights. Invest in some decent components and live up to that "customer care guarantee" that has been advertised so much lately. Telling customers that customer service and happy customers are their number one focus is crap if it's just a bunch of meaningless words. If I had the option, I would rate them zero. It took them two months to show up to connect the phones, cable, and internet for our two businesses. This cost us 50,000 each location. Comcast didn't care. Then it was a constant battle trying to access the internet. No matter which business location, it always is going down- even at our home. Now today, while I'm sick and have nothing else to do, the internet and cable is out and Comcast tells us that they've been working on an unstable box and caused the outage themselves. After spending over 6 hours on the telephone, over a one week period, with Comcast Customer Service I was forced to make a 4 hour round trip to the Key West store (the only store open in the Florida Keys). I was greeted by a very surly young African American girl. She could not have been less helpful. After shoving me a bag with my new equipment, there was NO thank you. NO, Im sorry for all your inconvenience. No actual acknowledgment of my presence. Absolutely terrible to add this insulting service on top of the massive telephone inconvenience and 4 hour trip. read more

For a truly traumatic experience, go to Comcast for any of your services. You will likely be greeted by a long line of customers debating services, rebates, and requests to disconnect services. After hurricane Irma, i had no telephone service. Then a series of three technicians came to my house and patched something up so I could answer the phone in The until it's room with central aircondiioner and the washing machine. Finally a great guy named Jean Boulou arrived and solved my problems. If all the "thechnicians" were as helpful and competent as Jean I would give Comcast a 5 out of 5. However the first three get a goose egg. You can get help from Comcast; you just have to keep trying until your serendipitous moment when a Jean Boulou finally arrives. read more

TV service is generally good, but that is what you expect from a TV service. Customer service is lacking. If you visit the office or call, you tend to wait a very long time. Don't be in a hurry if you need to go there. read more

Comcast is the worst internet company I have ever used. You get a limited amount of data per month and if you run over you get charged $10 for every 50GB you go over. First of all, I have never heard of an internet company limiting the amount of data you use. That's completely absurd. I'm paying for internet. It's acceptable to slow my usage after a certain limit, sure. Go ahead. But to instead of slowing my usage, CHARGE ME EXTRA FOR USING MORE DATA ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I already paid for internet, I'm not paying for more internet. Further, when I called the associate had no idea what he was talking about, couldn't explain to me the situation, and told me that my cycle schedule was different than what my bill was showing me. And if it was on his schedule, then I shouldn't have any overages right now. Comcast is the most scamming company I have used for internet. Total bullshit. read more

I am so unhappy with Comcast. They charged me $212.00 when I had to drop my phone service from the "bundle" because they couldn't get the phones to work throughout the house. I thought I'd be charged less! I've been talking to so many customer supervisors to see the insanity of this charge but they all say the charge is justified! This is so not right! I've emailed Senator Rubio about this today and tomorrow will be the Better Business complaint department. Anyone have suggestions? read more

Comcast took almost 8 weeks, multiple phone calls and broken appts to get the cable up and running after Irma. They had emailed me and said they were putting my account on vacation hold. After 2 months, I got a bill, not only not on any kind of hold, my plan had expired and I was being charged the highest possible rate plan for the whole time, most of which I did not have service. Part of that time, when I could have gotten a better promotional rate, there was no electricity or cel service, and they SAID I was on vacation. When I finally could call, there were NO options for me and I was stuck on the highest possible rate. I said cancel my service, which of course transferred me to the "retention dept" where after about 30 mins on hold I gave up. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Where do I start, we were lied to about costs upfront, no channels for the $160 you're going to spend, customer service is AWFUL!! The man who came to install our services was dirty and unpleasant, their automated system is awful and good luck getting anywhere with anyone at this company. We tried to move up to the next package of service and they forced us into hooking up a phone line which we said we dont need. They told us it would be no extra charge for the phone...first bill says $10 for land line!! Then they say services with your new package should be set up in 24 hrs, 3 days later still nothing. We got charged for 3 days of the upgraded package w no refund, yet we didnt have the channels. Please do not set up service with this company!! read more

If you want terrible customer service, sub-standard internet and cable as well as a company that keeps shoveling heaps of misinformation at you daily concerning outages in the Florida Keys post Hurricane Irma - then you have found the right company. If you are trying to run a business and explain to Comcast that they are costing your business hundreds if not thousands of dollars due to their inadequacies and inefficiencies - all they say is that they understand your frustration. Haven't had good internet service in 2 months.........was told someone would be out to fix it and surprise no one was out to fix it! Have called several times since then and was told I would have someone out after 5 pm and the paperwork was never turned in, shocking. Now have had 2 different people out this week alone and guess what it still is NOT fixed. So if you have a choice of this service or nothing, I would go with nothing, you will be a lot happier not spending $130 a month for very poor customer service and bad internet service. read more

Three days ago if found that when I tried to call my comcast phone I received a recorded message that the number dialed is not in service yet when I pick up the phone I have a dial tone and am able to make outbound calls. I called customer service and after 40 minutes with an incompetent support person who kept asking me to describe the problem he told me he was going to dispatch a technician the following day between 9am and noon. Being skeptical I called comcast the next morning at 8:30 to confirm the appointment and was told there was no appointment scheduled but the problem had been elevated to engineering and they would be in touch with me within 24 to 48 hours from when I first called. It is now 72 hours and guess what - no call from comcast. A couple of observations. When you call you want to speak to someone who understands you not someone who is evidently in another country. Secondly don't lie to me and tell me a technician is being dispatched. Lastly when can I expect to hear from engineering or is that just another comcast lie to get me off the phone. read more
