The man working there was rude, dismissive, and weirdly antagonistic from the moment I walked in. He asked if I had "postage and stamps" while I was holding a stamped postcard -- a question that made no practical sense and came off as a smug attempt to undermine me. When I chose to leave the store (quietly and without a scene), he continued talking at me as if I were still standing there, like he needed to perform for the one other customer in the room. It was surreal -- and deeply unprofessional. Only later did I find out they're not even on Google Maps, which I now realize may be intentional. It allows them to operate without accountability, avoid negative attention, and keep mistreating people -- especially tourists and people of color. If you're in Key West and need to mail something, do yourself a favor and go to the official USPS Post Office at 400 Whitehead Street -- the staff there know what they're doing and treat people with basic respect. Trusted James (owner) of the Key West Mail Room to ship it to me. He said it would go FedEx ground and he would get it shipped promptly. Weeks go by and the tracking number he gave me shows it is not given to FedEx. I tried calling over a dozen times but the phone just rings and then goes to voicemail that cannot take your message because it is full. I found an email address for the store (via their old Facebook profile) and emailed that.... no response. After two weeks, I had to send a local friend to the store to ask James where my painting was and when it would ship. He was told that the delay was due to having to order a box to ship the painting in. He promised it would be sent on Tuesday. LIES!! LIE 1: He didn't ship it that Tuesday, he waited until Friday. This was 3 weeks after I paid him to ship the painting! LIE 2: Then, it arrived in a "box" that was cobbled together by taping together some used Amazon boxes. The painting was placed inside another used box that originally shipped "Stacey M" her Kasper brand dress. (I know because the original shipping label was still on it!) The only nice things I can say is that it did not arrive damaged and that FedEx was faster to get it to me than I expected, considering it was shipped via ground service. Why one star? Because YELP won't let me give zero stars. AVOID!!! Go to another shipping store instead.

I felt like I was her highest priority and had a capable personal assistant on the ground who knew how to get things done quickly in Key West. The worst customer service I have ever experienced…read more I had work packages delivered to this location yesterday and went in today to pick them up. The first employee I spoke with looked up my tracking information and told me she hadn't worked the previous day, so she wasn't sure what happened and would need to ask a manager. Since she didn't go find one, I did. The manager initially told me she didn't see anything and didn't think customers were even allowed to have packages delivered there. I explained that the tracking showed my packages had been delivered and received at 2:57 PM the day before. She then brought over another employee, who immediately began yelling at me, insisting they didn't accept packages. I calmly explained that they obviously had, since my tracking showed they were delivered there. I even offered to provide the tracking numbers, but he continued shouting that they "would do no good." Moments later, he found my packages. Instead of apologizing, he told me I couldn't have packages sent there again and continued yelling at me as I walked out of the store. To make matters worse, one of my packages had been ripped open. I understand if this location has a policy against accepting personal deliveries, but there was absolutely no reason to treat a customer this way. A simple explanation would have been enough. Instead, I was yelled at, treated disrespectfully, and handed a damaged package. I will not be returning to this location.

I told him I reserved for the location on Stock Island at 6401 3rd St, Key West only to be told they few available units there although my confirmation clearly had that address and not one single mention of Big Coppitt. BAIT AND SWITCH much Storage Mart? I asked him if my rent to going to skyrocket in a few month, at least he was honest and said it'd from jump from $23 a month to $150. This is definitely deceptive sales tactics.
