The service in ocean City maryland is so bad because every time I come to OC one of my TV's do not work so I have to call and waist 1 to 2 Hours of my vacation time calling them and after talking to at least 4 people I still get nowhere and get so upset and still have no TV . What do I need to do to have my TV working and not wasting my vacation time?

Go with Dish and save your money. Comcast is over priced and under serviced.

Apple and Verizon customer service told me her phone (the hardware) was fine but when I went into this store, the woman who helped me, the blonde hair and glasses, told me I needed a new phone and the eSIM card with only work for 24 hours. My wife's phone was having problems with her physical SIM card and service where she couldn't connect. Something didn't sit well with me when the woman told me not to spend $30 for an eSIM card but rather sign up for a new plan that would charge me an extra $25 a month or $900 for the next three years. She was pushy about it and put a lot of pressure on me to trade in my wife's phone and spend more on a new plan. I left the store, and later came back and I was happy that another worker came over and helped me. I bought the eSIM card and my wife's phone has been working without one issue. So let's see, spend $30 for an eSIM card or be told I have to buy a new phone and spend $900 over the next three years??? I do not recommend this store. They just want to rip you off and buy a new phone and upgraded plan.

The response from Tech support was always the same - unplug the power cord and replug. If that doesn't do it then they will reset it remotely and if that doesn't work you may have to replace the DVR. After a call to customer service and a lot of strong persuasive discussion, a replacement was sent. After 2 months of use, other issues with lost recordings and a week of no service and continued power on / off ghost events, I called again and said I'm done and will shop for a replacement company. Of course my bill went up significantly as the 24 month term was over and the customer service representative said there were no discounts available even if I re-upped to a 24 month commitment. So after comparing all the other offerings out there on a price and channel selection matrix made with the help of ChatGPT, I was prepared to move on. I made my last call in to to cancel the system and on the other end of the call was a wonderful woman who answered my call; Michelle in the Phoenix retention department. She was so helpful and felt my pain. We spoke for a while and she addressed my concerns. Fast forward: I'm back with Dish for 2 more years because of Michelle period. I hope Dish fully appreciates this Human being as much as I do. Thank you Michelle!

Mediacom - 76mb/s on a hard wired 1gig service... WTF?!

Since relocating to Delaware, we have been using Mediacom Xtream for TV & Internet for about 14…read moremonths. Prior to that we had used Verizon Fios and Comcast/Xfinity. During the majority of the time we have had Mediacom, the quality of TV and Internet performance has been very good to excellent, and the quality of technical support has been excellent. Pricing was slightly higher than we have paid for similar service in the past, but comparable. However, since our initial honeymoon period ended (after 12 months) the price has jumped by 20%, and the quality of service has plummeted. In the past week, there were two days when Internet service was completely down for several hours, and two additional days when it was out repeatedly for multiple short 10-15 minute periods throughout much of the day. Technical support is still very good, but on a house call to "upgrade" my service a couple months ago, the tech was going to replace my TV set top box with a new wireless-only box (i.e. no hardwire Ethernet connection) and I declined--choosing to keep my current hardware instead. While going wireless/WiFi is very versatile and convenient when it is working well, it makes no sense at all for Mediacom to abandon the Ethernet connection--which is by far the fastest, best, and most reliable interface--altogether. That technical decision by Mediacom is bound to cause them headaches in the future and result in a long term decrease in customer satisfaction. I am glad I was able to stop the tech before making that change on my home network. If the price did not increase by as much as it did after the first year (sort of a backhanded anniversary "gift" from Mediacom!) I would find it easier to overlook the performance issues and the attempt to implement an arguably unwise technical migration (to a wireless-only network) on my network. Unfortunately, in coastal Delaware there is currently no competition for the internet and TV business. Still, I I would hesitate to recommend Mediacom with any degree of enthusiasm, and I will be looking to replace them at the earliest opportunity.

Zero stars. Don't make the mistake of signing up with Charter!…read more Look at Charter's terrible reviews everywhere. Consumerist magazine (not-for-profit subsidiary of Consumer Reports) calls Charter the "worst company in America." It's no wonder Charter went bankrupt a few years ago. This sleazy firm's business practices include: - cutting your satellite cable, then insisting that customer fight with Charter's 3rd party unlicensed contractor instead of honestly owning up to their mistake and correcting it. - moving your first bill due date ahead after first bill, without prior notification (told this is a "standard" Charter procedure on 2nd bill) - insisting that customers wait 45 days (unbelievable but true) for Charter's Autopay system to take effect, then warning that double payments may occur when customer attempts to make a one-time payment prior to the interim due date (as a safety measure) - moving from CSR agents in South Carolina to the Phillipines, where they lie to customers by claiming healthy account status with zero problems and confirming Autopay sign up weeks ago, then cutting off all services including (Emergency 911) shortly thereafter, without prior notice - migrating from helpful humans to speak with or chat online (about no-service issues) to worthless automated systems - poor no-service reliability I really wanted to love Charter. Our credit history is well above 700 and we always pay bills on time. But after several serious attempts to cooperate with Charter, acting as a good customer to straighten out their billing errors, all of our attempts have been futile. I recommend that prospective customers view the 800+ complaints about Charter on another website, plus other sites, before wasting your time. If you like unethical business practices, you'll love Charter!
