Cant stop eating their coco bread- even after 2 days just pop in toaster so yummy I ordered over the phone at closing time and They actually stayed open for me last night and waited for me Portion are big ( small and large available) The curry was yummy (watch for bones) and the oxtails so meaty Did not try jerk yet because once you go to Jamaica you can Not find that taste anywhere else Been there 3 times and will go back

This is your basic hole-in-the-wall counter-service restaurant with limited seating and great food. I was in the area thinking about dinner and spotted Come Take a Bite - this is home style Jamaican with flavorful jerked chicken, rice-and-peas, boiled cabbage and Maduros-style ripe plantains. Seating comes up to about a half dozen 4-top tables. I ordered the large jerk chicken platter composed of thighs and legs and all of the above. The lady behind the counter was very nice and piled everything into a to go container. Everything was delicious. I think this will become my go to for Caribbean .

My quest to find awesome Jamaican food in the metro Atlanta area continues... The restaurant is located in a shopping center on Lawrenceville HWY. It's small and has a few tables. The staff is fairly welcoming. They have all the standards including jerk chicken, curry goat, patties and oxtail etc. I decided on oxtail since my favorite place to get them has closed recently. I ordered the large which was a HUGE portion that came with rice & peas, plantains and cabbage. The oxtails were tender, but the gravy lacked flavor. The cabbage didn't taste very fresh and the rice and peas were ok. The plantains were the only item that I really enjoyed. While the food wasn't terrible, it lacked the flavor that I'm use to getting in Jamaican cuisine.

First of all, I'd like to say how disappointed I am in myself for just figuring out this delicious caribbean food establishment was so close to my house. 5 minutes away for some darn jerk chicken and oxtails? Seriously! So mad at myself.. Nonetheless, they were absolutely wonderful. This place was so good, we visited them twice in three days and as I'm typing this, I want some more today for dinner (and I will probably get some since I get what I crave often LOL). Plus, they give you so much I'll be able to have some for lunch at work the next day. The first time we came, I didn't get anything but the food smelled so lovely. I wanted some soon so we came back. I ordered oxtails with rice and beans. The food was definitely plentiful and I had SO much left over. I opted out of the plantains so the cashier had no problem giving me a little more meat and more rice and beans, especially since they were out of cabbage.I couldn't have been any more satisfied. I also tried their jerk chicken patti which was one of the best patties I have ever had in my life. I believe this may be the best caribbean food I've had in Georgia .. and had in a long time. Next time I come I want to try something different, but I can definitely see myself becoming a regular.

No palm trees, no white sand beach, nothing but real authentic Caribbean cooking going on in here! I had seen several check ins by my fellow yelp friends, and being a lover of island cusine, music and anything dealing with the tropical islands i had to come try it out. I ordered by phone ahead of time then went in side to pick up my oxtail order. Inside there were a few tables and chairs to dine, with menu's and "Hot Pepper Sauce" on each table. The menu has all the usual Caribbean entrees so i know i will be back to try something else. Prices were fair and quantity was plenty My large oxtail meal was plentiful with cabbage, rice and rich brown oxtail gravy the oxtails were cut small with succulent tender meat on each piece. I have gone far in search for good island food, now that i know of this place, i will be stopping in to fill mi belly whenever the craving hits.

I saw this spot randomly while I was at the professional supply store. I knew I wanted something light so I decided to go in. At the side of the register, there are some ready and made food. I like the board menu they have hanging on the wall, but we will get to that shortly. Not realizing what time it was, I asked for the lunch special and the lady was slightly rude telling me the lunch special is over. Excuse me geesh! I wanted a veggie patty but they said none are available. While I appreciate the menu board it would be nice to know what's available and what's not at the moment. I placed an order for the spinach patty and the beef patty. The spinach patty was delicious! It was my first time having one.

I stopped by Naunie's looking to appease a craving for Good Caribbean food. *Swoon* I ordered the Fadda's Oxtails with peas and rice and cabbage. I also noted that besides beef they had spinach Pattie's and picked one of these up too. The first bite was of the spinach patty and it is by no means Just spinach, the spices were a pleasant surprise and I knew I was in for a treat. I next broke into the tender flavorful oxtails, yummy. If you've ever tried and failed to cook oxtails, put away your insta pot and pull up here. They are well spiced and with the rice and peas, you don't miss on any of the sauce cause they soak it up. The cabbage was cooked, but not over cooked with some carrots added for flavor, in addition to just the right amount of seasoning. By the time I got around to the plantain it was cold, my bad as I wasn't focused on anything beyond the main meal. The interior of the restaurant is clean, colorful, quaint, and post Covid smart with four tables and a long window bar that seats three. I choose to sit and eat without worry or concern as the place was spotless. I will be back! Thank you Naunie's! Tip: they also have Wi-Fi.

Service - didn't get a greeting when we walked in, the lady was sitting in a chair at the register, there was one guy In there sitting down waiting on this food so she was not busy. They had a few fish dishes on their menu but had NO fish at all that day (weekday). I mean they were out of everything seafood and they were out of sorrel. This should have been a sign to leave but I settled with a small oxtail meal. They do open the box for you to see your food before leaving, no corrections or complaints after you leave. Well, I wish I would have took a closer look at the "plantains" bc it was absolute mush! It looked so terrible, I thought it was fat from the oxtail... they literally served spoiled plantain on both of our plates, I tasted it & it was definitely rotten. I love plantains when I eat Jamaican food & the fact that it was rotten was very disrespectful. The oxtail was small, not a lot of meat but the flavor was decent although I would have preferred more gravy. Rice & peas and the cabbage were average. As far as the inside, not much sunshine in there, just get it Togo. Oh! And the health score was 81 which should have been another sign to leave. There are better Jamaican restaurants to visit.

The inside is small, with no seating, so it's mainly set up for Uber Eats, DoorDash, or quick pick-up orders. There's no clear signage or direction when you walk in, and with the number of people standing around, I had to ask if they were waiting for their orders or in line. We placed a to-go order, and although they quoted 20 minutes, it ended up taking about 45. Honestly, I didn't mind--because their food is always worth the wait. We ordered the small jerk chicken meal ($9.75) and the large jerk salmon meal ($18.50). Each comes with rice and peas plus cabbage. My fiancée asked for more cabbage than rice and peas, and they definitely delivered. The food was piping hot and fresh--the chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor, while the salmon was tender and flaky without being overcooked. They only have two sauces--mild and hot--and fair warning, the hot sauce packs a serious punch. Overall, this Juicy Jerk location never disappoints, both in flavor and freshness, and it keeps us coming back for more.
