It is a small shop on Scenic Hwy. It is very hot inside; no AC. Incense stick smell is very strong. Tables (they have about 2-3 tables) were not clean. I wouldn't recommend dine-in. Better to pick up food to go. We have tried their pholourie (fried snack) and chicken roti. They were okay, not bad. Still satisfied the Trini food craving. The menus do not have prices. They should have prices listed on the menus.

This location is exactly as expected for a traditional West Indian food spot. If you're ever craving home cooked curry or roti or bake with salt fish, you're at the right spot. There is even a small shelf with a few snacks/goodies like big foot and channa. The Doubles are dangerously good! It's a favorite of mine. I preordered dhal phouri and doubles for a get together and it was ready right on time as requested. I'm glad to know there is a reliable catering spot for West Indian food - this is an anomaly. To wash down all the delicious flavors, just grab a cold beverage from the fridge - cream soda, sorrel or pineapple drink are a few of the choices. You can sit there and eat but it's definitely more of a grab and go establishment.

This is the roti they served for $13

I've been to this place a few times, I'm not sure what has happened lately but after this last visit, I won't be back. The older gentleman hasn't been there and the people at the front only care to play their music and watch their phones. I'm not sure where they dug up this roti, but this was a clear sign to me that they didn't care about their business or the food they were serving.

I really wanted to like this place despite all of the negative reviews but I can't. Let me start off by saying this .. the two women who were there were nothing but nice. I ordered over the phone ahead of time because I heard the wait times can vary. I ordered a curry chicken roti (assuming that it was made with boneless chicken , but apparently you have to specifically ask for boneless, so my roti had lots of bones in it which made it annoying to want to eat). The flavor was good , but I couldn't get past how my chicken inside was still pink. There goes $10 down the drain. I also ordered the veggie patty & a side of plantains. Again , the veggie patty was good but they BARELY put any veggies in it. It was like I was only eating the actual patty skin. Lastly , the plantains tasted as if they were wayyyy too ripe and overcooked. I generally like my plantains dark , but upon tasting these you can taste the burnt ness so I ended up throwing it away. Eh , it was too expensive to be throwing away & that's what I had to end up doing so I probably won't go back.

    Bone in chicken roti.

Had a roti from here after driving from Columbia S.C.. It was the best thing I've had since sliced bread. The staff was friendly and understanding and the restaurant felt like I'm in the Caribbean with the music and the ambience. Will definitely be back

Truly a neighborhood gem! Food & service by Smiley were exceptional! Enjoyed humongous roti consisting of goat meat in roti skin (bussup?) with inclusion of pumpkin and spinach greens. Goat meat was well marinated and tender. Bones were included, but meat easily slid off. The restaurant is located in a plaza with ample parking and had lots of room for dining. Opted to take mine and got red kola drink and pepper sauce, both native to restaurant's Trinidadian roots. Will definitely return to sample oxtails and more goat!

Very disappointed! I have only had their roti skin, bake & shark and bake & salt fish. The food is average tasting. Definitely not spectacular. We go there because it is the closest location where we can find this type of food. Recently we bought 3 bake&salt fish and the amount of salt fish on all 3 bakes should have been on one. This is my third time going there hoping for some improvements but alas no improvements in portion size or service times.

Amazing experience. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I'm not sure what's better, the service or the food.

What a gem!! Growing up around trini food, this restaurant hits the spot. Try the doubles, some of the best I've ever had!

Lunch options are available from and include buffet and specialties including roti and buss up shup. A variety of meats and vegetable options are offered to accommodate all diet preferences. Everything is prepared fresh and customer service was exceptional. The owner was on site and even more lovely than the pictures on display throughout the restaurant showcasing the visitors of all status that frequent Tassa. Many were notable including one from one of my favorite cooking shows! All items ordered were delicious which included a curry goat roti, a vegetarian roti and six doubles. I had heard about doubles from Trinidadian friends, but do not recall experiencing personally. The couple in line before me ordered 10 and I was intrigued! Doubles consisted of chick peas and potatoes inside of a round pastry that resembled a flattened biscuit, but with much better flavor. The filling was available in varying levels from hot to a bit sweeter. I selected a mixture of the two for my personal ones. Others I bought were hotter for my heat loving partner. Extremely popular in the Caribbean culture and now, I know why. Parking is available in the rear of restaurant, and ample dining space in two rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Tassa for reasons mentioned above. Service has always been exceptional and informative - I ask questions! Will definitely return again and again!

As someone who is known for seeking out and truly testing vegetarian options at Caribbean…read morerestaurants, I have to say--Miss Conduck is easily the best Caribbean flavor restaurant in Atlanta. And coming from a Jamaican background, let me be clear: the usual Trinidad vs. Jamaica debate does not apply here. This place stands on its own. From the moment the food hit the table, one thing was consistent across everything we ordered: it was hot, fresh, and made with real intention and flavor. We started with the fried cauliflower bites. The batter was light, crispy, and well done--definitely a solid starter. I wasn't a big fan of the tartar sauce it came with, but it didn't take away from the quality of the cauliflower itself. My friend ordered the jerk chicken rolls, and I have to give credit where it's due--the sauce that came with those rolls was incredible. Easily one of the standout sauces of the night. Next, I had the doubles, and because I like my food with a kick, I asked for pepper sauce. Now, I'll admit--I made my first one obnoxiously hot. But what I discovered was the real winning combination: adding the callaloo on top of the doubles. That was the perfect match. The callaloo itself is blended with so many elements into a rich, flavorful purée, and when paired with the doubles, it created this burst of layered, authentic Caribbean flavor that was just on point. I also ordered a veggie plate with rice and peas, cabbage, and chickpeas, and they did not disappoint. The portion size was generous, and every single item was clearly made with flavor in mind--not just thrown together as an afterthought for vegetarians. I also tried the macaroni pie--it's a smaller portion, but it's true Caribbean mac and cheese, rich and satisfying. The fried plantains were done perfectly--hot, fresh, and with that ideal balance of sweetness and texture. Then came the rasta pasta. My first couple of bites, I thought it needed a little more kick--but by the third bite, everything came together perfectly. You can taste the layers of vegetables building flavor, and there's a subtle heat that isn't overpowering but adds depth. The noodles were cooked exactly how they should be--perfect texture, not overdone, not undercooked. One thing I always pay attention to is this: Is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant also approved by meat eaters? And in this case, the answer is absolutely yes. My friend had the jerk chicken, and she said it was spectacular. She actually lives nearby and already plans to come back regularly. Honestly, I was surprised the place wasn't packed wall to wall. The atmosphere is incredible--it has its own unique style that really makes you feel like you've stepped into the Caribbean. The music, the vibe, everything is intentional. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. We even watched them handle a large party, and they went above and beyond to make sure that group was fully taken care of. All in all, this place exceeded expectations on every level. Five stars without hesitation. If you're in Atlanta and want real Caribbean flavor--whether you eat meat or not--Miss Conduck is a must-visit. I highly recommend making a reservation and experiencing it for yourself.
