They do a good job on my husband's western shirts and jeans. I've never had a bad interaction with the employees.

Two times, I took 8 pairs of jeans to get dry clean with heavy starch. The price was ok and the jeans were cleaned. They were placed on 2 separate hangers. However, on both occasions, one hanger had the plastic cover, and the other one didn't. What up with that? I finally had to ask the lady to put plastic on the other hanger. The look on her face was like she was having to do something extra by citing the plastic over my order. read more

I dropped a corset off with 3 laces that had decorative tips. Received after processing with 2 laces. And one of those 2 had the decorative tips. Can't lace my corset on one shoulder without the lace. read more

I have used this cleaners for years. Today, I took in some things I wanted back today. You know, "In before 9:30 same day service". I got there at 8:58 . She says they will be ready tomorrow after 5:30. Uh, that isn't same day. She said she was full, and wouldn't take the 2 damn shirts I needed for a today. Won't be able to take these on the vacation we are going on. Really disappointed. If you aren't going to honor the printed junk you say, take it off and don't even use that slogan. More like Same day if we feel like it. read more

I've only been here once and had them dry clean two suits for me. The suits and everything were clean and pressed as asked and by the time I needed them, but the communication here leaves a bit to be desired. I love getting a text or a call when my stuff is done and they offered that but never followed through with it. read more

Took two pants to be altered a week ago. Was told then would be ready on a certain day, went in on that days and they said she was not in and wouldn't be until tomorrow. I asked them if they would do a discount because I was told they would be ready today. They said no, they were busy and basically an oh well kind of attitude. If you need alterations done, don't go here, try somewhere else that will provide better customer service and do what they say they are going to do. read more

Let me start by saying, I've only been here once. I had a great experience though and so would definitely use them again. My dilemma was that my husband asked me the day before an event to get his jeans starched. I called 2 other dry cleaners in the area to see if either one of them had same day service. Neither of them did, but the 2nd one I called told me about this place. She words were, "I don't want to give away my business, but I think Comet can do it same day." Grateful for her advice, I would also consider using them in the future. I called around 9am and was told to get the jeans there before 9:30am. The jeans were ready after 5:30pm same day. It was $5 for heavy starch, which I thought was a reasonable price for same day service. Those jeans had at least a whole can of starch in them. They were flatter than pancake and stiffer than a board. I wasn't sure my husband was going to be able to squeeze into them. He did manage to get them on and he was very happy with his jeans. He wore them for 3 separate occasions before he allowed me to wash them. read more

I regularly get my uniforms cleaned and pressed and have tried a number of places around Austin. Since I moved out to Bastrop County I have found this place and it has been a wonderful experience! I have them put extra starch in my uniforms for a clean crisp look and they have never failed to impress. I have had only one problem which they worked diligently to fix at no charge. These folks are great. If you have uniforms to get cleaned or clothes you need done I would recommend you come here and get them done right! read more

I always take my clothes to Jack Brown cleaners in Austin, but since I moved to Bastrop it's been harder. I decided to take my clothes here, I dropped two winter jackets and a suit. They were quick to take my order. Before I could leave the lady came back out and said "my manager said that the coats have to be deferred before we can clean them." I have 2 dogs and my jackets have fur on them, which is why I get them dry cleaned at the beginning of cold season, in the middle and at the end. So I need to clean my clothes before I can pay you to clean them? Thanks but no thanks, I asked for all of my clothes back. Ridiculous!! read more

I have been a happy customer of Comet for many years - until it changed hands. An entire cleaning order was lost for weeks - twice. When I would inquire, I was assured it was not there, until it finally turned up. The last time they "found" an order and I went to don my favorite suit, I discovered the pants had not been returned. Taking the suit coat to the cleaners I asked them to look for the pants - only to be told that after 30 days all unclaimed clothing was sent to Goodwill - and that I should have claimed the pants sooner. "I couldn't , because you told me the entire order was lost" I protested. The only response was a shrug. I will never enter that establishment again. read more

My designer wool tan shawl is now grey. They probably washed it with my black coat, and they charged me more. Not again! I found a helpful piece of info. "The dingy gray color and foul odor caused by redeposition can often be removed by dry cleaning the garment in fresh solvent. When shopping for a new cleaner, ask them how often they distill their solvent. "Continually" is the best answer." I have to take it somewhere else to be clean again! read more

WE took 3 shirts to be dry clean and the 3 times they still had stains when we picked them up. I had to bring them back and than finally they clean it. I would not use this place. read more

Although they did a decent job on the cleaning (minus the white flakes all over my pants), I cannot recommend a place that quotes one price at drop off and then charges $6 more at pick up...didn't make any since to me and still doesn't after they tried to explain. I definitely will not be taking my uniforms here again, way too pricy even if it would have been the original price they quoted. read more

I just happened to look up Comet cleaners on line today to check their hours on Saturdays since I don't usually go there on Saturdays. I am disappointed to see the bad reviews posted for them and only three reviews at that. My husband and I have used them for years and they've been great. We've never had a problem and they're always polite and quick. In response to the derogatory reviews: dry cleaning is always expensive, estimates of pricing are just that, and I have never had my coats handed back and have three dogs myself. If you had that much fur on your coats I'm not sure I would have wanted them in the cleaners with my own. They make rollers for removing fur; you should try them. I don't mean to be ugly but I find it seems to be true that too often the negative makes it to social media faster than the positive. I think the people who work at Comet are hard workers and have done a good job for us. read more
