But this is the last straw: went in there to drop off two of my favorite pants. To my dismay, they were faded!!?? I returned to complain(who would? They're name brand pants) I was greeted by the manager who sworn they didn't do anything, and that I probably did it. Then she told me to leave or else she'd call the cops on me. How undignified!!! You don't call the cops on a customer that's looking to resolve the matter/damage that was resulted at your premises!!! Won't go there ever again. I took 7 pieces in this morning and "Specifically" asked how much i would be charged for each item and the lady looked at each and told me $5.97 and explained that only dresses would increase my charge and i did not have ANY dresses. When i picked up my items and looked at my receipt i was charged a different price for 3 of my pieces. (FYI) i recorded my initial conversation with the rep when i dropped off my pieces. I Hate that i used this cleaners after i read all of the reviews of how patrons are told one thing and something else happens at pick up. 10/25/2016 Hello Erika B, While I may appreciate your response it however does not make up for the fact that I was wrongfully given the incorrect price for the items in question. I specifically picked up the pieces in question at the time of drop off and had an entire conversation as it pertained to the price of the garments. I should have been charged what I was told that I would be charged for all of the pieces and not just some of them and the 25% (for 1st time customer) was to be applied to $5.97 x 7 = $41.79 x 25%(-$10.45)=$31.34 x 8.25% ($2.59)= $33.93 was what I should have been charged and not the $38.81. read more

Have tried many times in this area to find a Great place to do my dry cleaning. Saw many positive reviews for Comet and gave them a try for the first time, and this is my experiance so far. Mis-count on the number if items i dropped off to start. I was also promised that my items would be ready the next day at 5:00 PM went to pick them up at 6:30 PM and only part of my order was ready. Next there was no discount printed on the receipt and no prices posted in store so I may have gotten a 25% discount but it did not show as price is about the same as other dry cleaners in the area. Also, I am not impressed with the quality of work, I will still need to run a hot iron over them before they are fit for the office. The pants where only part creased up to the thigh and not to the belt line like most dry cleaners I have used. Other reviewers must be the family of the people who work there or friends of the owners. Will not use this place again and will not recommend for others. So 1 star because of Price, Quality of Work, and Time of Delivery. UPDATE: Went to pick up the rest of my articals of clothing and was meet with nothing but great service directly from the manager herself. She seemed just as hurt as I was from the poor experiance I had and went out of her way to make sure I will visit again for a chance to make a better impression. I have rarly seen someone who cares so much and I very much appreciate great serivce and more then anything... people who really care. I forget her name but did not forget the warm welcome, the apologetic approch, or the willingness to earn a chance to win my buisness. Who said you never get a second chance to make a first impression? Ever since I moved to the Westchase area it took me a while to find an alternative dry-cleaners location because I had been a customer at a different store in the spring branch area so it would take me 30 minutes but THANK GOODNESS for Comet Cleaners because its extremely close to where I live now AND their performance is outstanding! The customer service staff are always friendly, helpful and ready to answer any questions. I absolutely love the drive-through service lanes because its very convenient especially if you're on the way to work, heading home from work, or if you're simply tired, this service is FREE & convenient. I absolutely love their press-only service where you bring in your clean (wrinkled) clothes and they will press your shirts for around $2.50 (before tax) per shirt. Another feature I love that Comet Cleaners offers is IF you submit your clothes BEFORE 10AM then you are guarantee to pick up the SAME DAY AFTER 5! Isn't that even more convenient?! Anyways, y'all have a customer for life and will spread the word. read more

My wife dropped off a very, very nice dress to be cleaned that had a built in neck decoration / necklace type piece (built in as in attached, not to be taken off). When we got it back the neck decoration was not there anymore and the shoulders had 2 large holes where the necklace used to be attached. Already a bad enough situation we went in person to talk to them about it and this is when they made it worse. They informed us that they ripped the necklace off because they couldn't clean it with it on. RIPPED IT OFF. They then tried to sew it back on twice unsuccessfully after they cleaned and were not able to. When they realized that they were not able to sew it they just put it in without the necklace with the rest of our clothes, I guess hoping we didn't notice the necklace was missing or that there were big holes in the shoulders. They did not say anything to us and charged us as normal for it. Now my wife has a ruined dress that we paid to have cleaned. read more

My first visit to Comet was based on their high YELP rating. One 2-piece suit dry cleaned, 1 shirt press only, 2 jeans press only. They told me it would about $17. I bought a $10 voucher on YELP. When i picked up my garments the two receipts were $8.50 and $9.47. I presented the voucher and they said you don't need to use that because this is a good deal price already. I stated, I paid for this voucher and want to use it. They applied it and told me the remaining balance was $9.47. That did not add up ... $8.50+ $9.47 = $17.97. They increased the cost though that was not on the receipt to diminish the value of the voucher. It is not the money but the way the price was changed when I presented the voucher. I made sure to ask price before leaving clothes and made staff aware of the difference in charge vs what receipt indicated. I have now three printed receipts ... $8.50, $9.47, and one for the changed I got from $10 cash showing $9.47 charge and $0.53 change. I will not return there and will not buy any coupons/voucher from YELP again. === Update after communication with Owner === I received calls and text messages from the owner at Comet Cleaners. It is my view that he is sincere and wants to server the customer well, so I would hope that his business succeeds. My issue was communication of prices and that being consistent. It is my opinion that there was no intent to do anything wrong or diminish the value of service provided or over charge. For new customers, ask specific questions as staff seems busy and may not verbalize all details. We are all human and can work together for the best outcome. read more

Been coming here for past 9-10 months and it started off very well, as the other reviews have pointed out. In the last 3 months, its been a downwards spiral for these guys. Pros - 1) Same day service 2) Clean environment Cons - 1) Staff is always harried nowadays, especially if you are picking up on the same day (which is as advertised). Staff always complains that they are understaffed. 2) Folding of shirts - Maybe this is not their regular feature, but more of an add-on. During my last 6 visits, my shirts were ready, but not folded. The ticket said folded. I waited for someone to fold the shirts about half the time, and the other half I said I will be back in an hour or so. The most frustrating part was that the shirts were not yet folded when I got back, and when done in a hurry, the folding wasn't done well and resulted in more deep wrinkles than before. 3) Moderately priced - not the cheapest in the neighborhood. But I still prefer them due to same day service. 4) Green service? - All clothes are wrapped in plastic, have disposable hangers etc. I returned the plastic and hangers to them, and they didn't have a policy of recycling. Its not such a big deal, but I just don't like wastage. PS - I might be wrong on this one. I bought discount code on Yelp and took it. During the billing, I reminded again of the $10 code, but by my calculation, the code wasn't applied. I have to go back and check this up though. Update - 12/09/2015 After a break of a few months, I have now started going back to Comet Cleaners, as they have really improved on their customer service etc. I am actually impressed that the owner took my issues seriously and reached out earlier. Also, I haven't had any issues with their quality. Further improvement areas - still needs some focus on folding clothes. read more

Just an unbelievable customer service experience. They had an issue with my order but the manager (Doris) went out of her way to make sure that everything got fixed and that I was happy. I had dropped my clothes off before 9 am and needed them by 5 pm since I was going to be out of town. When I arrived to pick them up, they weren't ready because of some miscommunication. The manager personally assured me that they would go out of their way to get it done within the hour and sure enough they delivered on their promise. I highly recommend this place. Even though I have to drive an extra few miles and pay a little bit more, I will be returning to this place simply because the experience was fantastic. Keep up the good work!! read more

This Comet Cleaners is exceptional! I usually go to another location, but the friendly staff here helped me out when I was in a pinch. One person, in particular, made it her duty to help me get my suit cleaned same-day because she knew I needed to make an early am flight. In another instance, I had a coat cleaned that had a missing button. Although this button had been missing for months, when the coat was returned there was a new button in place! I took my laundry in on a Saturday morning. I brought in 7 regular sweaters (nothing fancy on them). The lady who took my order, went through my sweaters and told me they will cost $5.07 each and that it would be ready Monday at 5pm. I agreed. I came in Tuesday morning to pick them up. First, only six were ready, and I was asked to return by 5pm the same day. When I asked to pay the bill I noticed that I was charged $11 for one sweater, $9 for another, and $5.97 each for the rest. I was shocked that they would more than double the quote they gave me. When I asked the lady why I was charged $11 for a regular sweater, she said it is because it is shaped like a cape. What?? Ok. What about the $9? she said she did not know why because she is not the person who rang in my laundry when I dropped it off on Saturday. I paid and left, hoping that when I return to pick the other sweater in the evening, I will explain the situation and they will fix it. I returned in the evening and luckily(or so I thought), I met the lady who rang me in. I explained it to her and without an apology for giving me a wrong quote, all she had to tell me in a rude tone was how they are an "expensive," dry cleaner. Lol. I know this place is a little pricey, which I don't mind. But deliberately lying to me about pricing at drop off for whatever reason and then more than doubling the quote at pick up is called theft by false pretense. And I don't do business like that. Anyway, I told the lady I will not be returning and she said ok. I'm still shocked at her indifference. Is this the type of customer service you give people for "expensive" dry cleaning? She must really hate her job or the owner of this business. I had $100 worth of laundry sitting in my car. I dropped it somewhere else and paid an identical price to comet. It's not about the money.
