As the name suggests, this frozen custard is out of this world. I could have had just the custard. My first bite took me back to my childhood. I had to take a second after it. They have plenty of options available. Based on what I got, I don't think there is a wrong choice. It is honestly, one of the best custards I have ever had. But that is just the base. They then then have the toppings, any you could think of. I got one of their concretes called the cookie dough caramel. Let's just say this was their's to mess up, those are my favorite toppings. Every bite more satisfying than the last. I have been wanting to stop here for years, I love the older diner looking places. They were extremely busy but they were kicking butt knocking every order out. I had to wait maybe 5 minutes on a Friday night, with what looked my teams of kids waiting for their ice cream. I will be going back in the future. The only complaint I have have was with their cookie dough. It was very good, but it was a little maple syrupy for my liking. Nice location , sweethearts as staff members, and of course delicious ice cream ... our favorite is the almond joy ! Very clean outdoor area to eat ..... usually it's hard to keep up with sticky dirty ice creamed tables but they manage to keep it tidy and have a thoughtful water tank with mini Dixie cups for the people who I'm dying of thirst after eating their ice cream . Have been living in Schaumburg for 18 months, and I have always heard that Illinois & Wisconsin have the greatest custard stands. For some reason it has taken this long to try one out. My first stop was Comet, and was I blown away. Thank god it is a number of miles from my home, if not, I would stop here everyday. The custard is so creamy. I had a hot fudge sundae, and the fudge was fresh and the perfect temperature. The chopped nuts were fresh and crunchy. Some of the best custard that we have ever eaten. Don't get me wrong, I like custard and I generally don't care where it's coming from. However, we make a specific trip to get to Comet Custard before they close. It's the only complaint that I have if you can call it a complaint, They are closed on Sunday and they close at 9 o'clock the rest of the days so if you're craving it check the hours and remember that you have to go early. Other than that, you can't really go wrong with anything because their custard itself is delicious. Don't come here. I have to convince my wife not to come here every day and she has to convince me every night not to stop by here every day. It is absolutely delicious and addictive. If I could eat Comet custard every day I would. I was never a big fruit custard fan until Comet came to our little town. I love the blueberry/lemon, the raspberry chip and the list could go on and on. My husband is into the candy bar flavors. Every now and then I will have a black cow. Their rootbeer is sooooo good. My family and I usually love this custard spot but after todays experience I felt like I had to write a review. We ordered two small hot fudge sundaes (3.99 each) with extra hot fudge (extra charge). After receiving our Sundaes we had to send them back because they barely had any hot fudge on it. The woman brought them back to us saying that she added more even though there was no difference. The Sundaes took around two minutes to eat because they were so small. Don't take your business here. Go to MCDonalds. It's cheaper, better and far less expensive. read more

We went the Sunday after grand opening and they were CLOSED! The following Tuesday I went to drive-thru & I was told to "park my car & come in, he just sent employee on break and no one to cover window!" I was disappointed because I have a broken toe...only to stand in line, waiting more than 5 minutes for a small serving of custard. I thought I would try them out again over a week later. Hoping they've fixed any issues with customer service! Again, drive-thru closed because "they are in the process of hiring more employees." I ordered the same cup of 1 scoop chocolate custard and it was even smaller the second time around! *Friendly staff, however they are slow. Good custard, but you can find several other places within a mile or so to get good custard with an OPEN drive-thru! Comet sign sits too low on rooftop, making difficult to see from all angles of the streets. We won't be returning to Comet! read more

The service was fairly good due to the high volume of people but after ordering the biggest sundae they sell for $6 I walked away dissatisfied because the sundae was the size of my fist and didnt even fill the entire cup! The custard here is amazing! I got a chocolate concrete with bananas and they added a lot of bananas! They also give out pup cups to your dog that have a little piece of dog bacon on them!
