Landing in Memphis just an hour prior, this was my first real impression of Tennessee. I was a nervous but excited because I had never traveled to this part of the United States before. They were closing at 2pm and I had just made it by 30 minutes. I order their smoked gouda and pimento cheese sandwich. They have a very simple menu. Soup, salad or sandwich. I was hoping for a side of fries, but no luck. The sandwich was delicious, very flavorful! There was a lot of pimento cheese and at some bites it was a little too much. Other than that, I finished my sandwich. The service was great. The men working were really friendly and I got my order quick. The restaurant reminded me of a little mom and pops that I would visit in Long Beach or something. Definitely a good start to my trip!

I saw this cafe on Mike Rowe's Returning the Favor Micro edition a few years ago. I live in Oregon and on a business trip my husband and I stopped by a couple months later. The food was excellent. The freshness and wholesome taste was just a small part of what this business does for the community.

    Saturday brunch. Delightful.

Delicious food. Lovely owner. Noble mission. Very much enjoyed my meal and will be returning regularly! Wish I had discovered this place sooner! So charming!

This little cafe downtown Jackson,TN is incredible. Not only are they serving the community but they are providing a healthy meal by using produce from local farmers and vendors. Truly one of the most amazing things I have seen thus far. BRAVO

Good food, not many low carb options, but the mission is fantastic! And the staff and owners are awesome.

I paid for all of my dental work up front at this time. On my first visit I waited 3 hours and by 500 pm they took me back. The dentist did not come back to my cubicle. I went to the front desk and there sat the dentist so after some heated words I made another appointment to have my 1st extraction done. On my 2nd visit, it took 1.5 hours to extract my tooth. My post-op instructions said to go back 7-10 days to have the sutures removed. I made an appointment 9 days out to have this done. On the day before, I received a call from them saying that their policy had changed and I would have to pay an additional $25.00 as a post-op fee to have my sutures removed. This fee was not on my original care plan cost and was a new policy. I told them I would not pay the additional fee because it was not on my initial care plan AND it was an after the fact new policy. They canceled my appointment. They said they would give me a refund after several call between myself and the co-founder, Sabrina Blue. but that I was being discharged as a patient. That was in May. I went back to my old dentist the next day and there were no sutures in my socket. The sutures were dissolvable. I put in a consumer complaint with the Attorney General of Tennessee in late June about them not refunding my fees AND them charging an additional $25.00 as a post-op fee to all these poor people to remove something that has dissolved. Finally, I received my refund almost 2.5 months after I was told I would receive it but the issue about them charging for removal of "dissolvable " sutures was NOT satisfactorily addressed The fact that they are charging for work to remove something that does not exist is an abominable thing to be doing to poor people who do not have much money. Tomorrow I go back to my original dentist to have my other tooth extraction and it is going to cost me more than 3 times more to have it done. This is not a professional place to go to for dental work, it's economical(cheap) but you get what you pay for. Be weary of this place.

Great place, friendly staff! Sabrina is amazingread more

I would cry myself to sleep every night praying for my dog Maggie's safe return. Thankfully my baby girl Maggie was microchipped. I was reunited with my dog Maggie around February of 2021 with the help of my best friend Nikki (who is starting a Boston Terrier rescue in Santa Rosa, California very soon) and with the help of Boston Terrier rescue organizations such as Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue and Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida, Inc., Maggie was found under the same pier in Cocoa Beach where she disappeared. It was a miracle and I'll always be grateful for everyone that helped me get my baby back. Please always have your animals microchipped. If you lose your animal, always keep your microchip registration up to date, and please don't ever give up hope. Keep searching for your loved one, don't let anyone talk you out of this important step in finding your loved one and being reunited with them once again. Please don't be confused, these organizations are all run by volunteers and these volunteers help these dear animals out of the kindness of their hearts. If you find it difficult to reach someone by contacting this organization, or another organization like Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue, just keep trying. If you need to surrender you dog, for any reason, please don't give up on trying to contact someone who will take your dog. If you aren't able to surrender your dog, or you aren't able to adopt a dog from Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue at the time of your inquiry, please don't be dismayed. These organizations are run by volunteers, and often times they may not have the ability to return your call or email immediately, due to having low staffing and/or due to having reached maximum capacity for their animal rescue organization, and this can especially be the case after the Covid Pandemic. If you run into a situation where you are turned away, please ask to be referred to another Boston Terrier Rescue organization that may have the ability to assist you. These brave souls, once adopted by us, often end up being a significant source of comfort to us, and at times, even our sole rock in this life. By showering us with unconditional love, acceptance, understanding, support, attention, and protecting us, we begin to see our lives improve for the better just by saving the lives of these animals in need. Not only will these adopted animals quickly come to trust, love, comfort, and accept us unconditionally, they have also been known to vigilantly watch over us and our family and give their own lives in order to save ours. For example. Sadly, some individuals aren't able to care for their animals due to time constraints, lack of resources, perhaps that cannot afford the expensive veterinary costs associated with caring for an aging dog. Maybe they moved where animals aren't permitted, they may have welcomed a new addition to the family who was allergic to animals, they may have become disabled, or perhaps they are elderly themselves, or they are experiencing extreme fatigue, financial hardship, debilitating illnesses in their lives that make caring for an animal impossible for them to manage. Whatever the case may be, these animals, with so much love left to give, are often abandoned, surrendered to animal shelters, or surrendered to animal rescues. Non Profit Organizations, such as Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue, truly make the world a better place. They provide so many amazing and deserving animals with a warm, loving, caring, and comfortable place to stay, and by finding forever homes for these animals, where they can go to live in peace, joy, and happiness for the remainder of their lives. Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue also provides emergency veterinary care to the animals who come to be in their care, animals that might otherwise be euthanized, or much worse, left to suffer and die in excruciating pain. Please know that your love and support, via liking, sharing, reviewing, and otherwise spreading the word about these organizations, such as Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue on social media, Yelp, Google, TrustPilot, Facebook, etc. all make a significant impact. You can also show your support by choosing to volunteer your time, by donating funds, by donating belongings, by donating a vehicle, by donating pet food and pet supplies (to support the resources needed when caring for these animals), by fostering an animal, by sponsoring, really any way you are able to help these animals by supporting organizations, such as Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue, truly makes the World a better place, by improving and saving the lives of so many animals in need. Since many of these animals often go in life to comfort, assist and even save the lives of people in need, your support truly succeeds in saving all lives!
