Really enjoyed sitting outside for a nice homemade brunch. Flavors here are delicious! Not just an ordinary brunch place with the staples, delicious twists like the savory waffle and grilled cheese take!

The food and service were both great! I had the waffle, which was delicious, and the French toast which was good, though I personally prefer my French toast a little more cooked through. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their meals, so there was something for everyone. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Tried a new thing again and it did not disappoint! The food was flavorful, filling and worth the price! The service is always great and I always feel like I'm in someone's home. Cannot recommend this place enough *for small parties

Comfort & Floyd is a great little diner when you want something easy and satisfying. Food: Solid, homestyle plates with good portions and consistent flavor. The breakfast potatoes are 5/5 for me! Service: Friendly, quick, and exactly what you want from a neighborhood spot. They'll always try to get you something you're running low on when they walk by Ambiance: Cozy, low-key, and kind of quiet -- the kind of place that feels familiar the second you sit down. Everyone is super nice and welcoming no matter the circumstance.

Everything here was fantastic - the service, food, ambiance, prices. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back. The best brunch I've had in Philly so far.

Food was good not amazingly so but overall a good bang for your buck and the home fries were delicious! Hibiscus tea was great and the black coffee was good. Really small place so it is a bit crowded but we got a seat at the counter and service was still great from our server. Overall nice place very cute.

Been back 3-4 times since my first review, and I've discovered their best dish, which is ironically a "side" salad. You can sub it for an up charge for the home fries but like don't do that because 1) the home fries are VERY food and 2) you're gonna want a more salad. It has pickled veggies (carrots, red onions and cauliflower) that are more sweet than sour and sunflowers and peptias so it's very crunchy without the heaviness of the bread. Now we get a big salad to split, along with our breakfasts because it's healthy and SO good. Service has been faster since we've only been in the cold recently so half their tables aren't available outside. It's extremely cozy inside though. You are on top of your neighboring diners, but it's part of the neighborhoody experience so get over it. Also, don't sleep on swapping biscuits for toast!

Good spot. The pancakes have great flavor and are super filling and you only need one. The sausage was too greasy for me, wouldn't get it again. The egg was cooked well but nothing to really write about.

This little diner was quirky and good that translated to more than just their atmosphere. Even the food had some cool weird twist to it that worked. We got the scallion waffle and it was pretty good. The just like scaling pancakes they work well in a waffle and once combined witb their egg and hotsauce it all comes together pretty well. In addition to their plants and natural lighting, they had little touches like miniature artwork that added to the already nice atmosphere. I would recommend a reservation since we almost didnt get in before they closed and they werent able to grunte a seat even an hour before they closed. The staff was super friendly and we had dome good conversations about the pride event that just got done. Overall a great breakfast or lunch spot

ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Took a chance by coming here on a Sat at 10 am, and to my surprise, we snagged bar seats right away! The place is tiny, so you might need to wait outside if there's a wait time. A warm host greeted us and the food came out within 15-20 mins. Here's the breakdown: -chicken and waffle: A MUST GET. An ample amount of fried chicken on a bed of waffles ( a bit on the dry side for me) with kale and slices of boiled eggs, drizzled with honey sriracha on top. I like a little more sauce, but the combo was heavenly. -blueberry cornmeal pancakes: we got the double stacks, and the portion was humongous that you can feed 2-3 ppl. The taste is decent, but nothing to die for. - home fries: OOMG. The texture was just unique. The chopped scallions enhances the flavor. 100% would be back and recommend this place!

My fiancé and I came here for brunch during a cold and rainy April Saturday. This is the perfect cozy, and cute corner spot, with lots of natural light, and a really nice atmosphere. We arrived around 12:30 and put our name down in the waiting list (which is actually a paper list). Since we were the fourth party, we waited around the cafe until our turn came so we did not risk losing our spot. The owners offered us hot coffee while we waited which I appreciated a lot since the wait ended up being a little bit over 30 minutes. We finally got a seat at their bar and were told about the specials for the day which included a decadent sounding waffle with chicken, and biscuits with turkey and gravy. We opted to order from their regular menu and shared: - Roasted vegetable and cheddar omelet: I ordered this with a side of their kale salad and no potatoes. The portion was huge. The omelette was stuffed with chunky, perfectly roasted pieces of cauliflower/broccoli/ sautéed spinach, and a perfect amount of cheese that didn't over power the vegetables. The kale salad on the side was perfectly tangy/sweet for balance, with a nice hint of nuttiness from sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. This also came with an extra side of bread so I chose to get a buttermilk biscuit on the side which they serve with delicious raspberry jam. The biscuit was super crispy and buttery! Very filling. - Egg and cheese breakfast sandwich: an everything Philly muffin with folded eggs and a very good cheese that had a deep flavor and mild saltiness. It came with a tomato jam that was a little too sweet for my taste, especially that the muffin already had some inherent sweetness to it, and I wish it had been more like a chipotle aioli--good nonetheless but I felt they could pair with a better sauce that compliments the cheese and muffin better. My fiancé loved the crispy potatoes this came with and, of course, also the kale salad. - Cornmeal blueberry pancake: very generous portion! Perfect blend of buttermilk pancakes with a twist from the cornmeal. The blueberries added the perfect sweet hint! The butter also compliments the corn flavor very well and it's very reminiscent of a cornbread. Very good! Overall, I really liked this place for brunch! The wait can be a little long and they do not have a virtual waitlist so you really have to physically be there before you can write down your name/they have no texting system so have to stick around while you wait. Very traditional- but on a day I have no rush, I respect it. The food was amazing! The portions were massive, and the ingredients were evidently of very high quality. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a good brunch place in the area.

Great service, even when the restaurant was busy. They took the time to recommend vegetarian options and made sure our waters were filled. The menu is filled with unique creative meals. The food was good and prices were average. The atmosphere was decent as well. Although the location is a bit out of downtown, we were in the area so it was convenient for us.

The truth is I love the food here. This place has probably my favorite homefries in philly. Period. They're flavorful, have that crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside the ambiance is really nice. It's small and cozy which is the philly staple. Keep that in mind because seating is limited. I came here more than once and my first time around the service was great but my second time around, it fell short. My second time around my lady and I were the first ones through the door and the first to order but out of the 3 couples who came in after us, we got our food last. I was pretty appalled by it tbh. For that reason I gave the place 3 stars.

Spinach omelette, biscuit and one pancake.

    Do they serve espresso?

Hi Winston, Thanks for writing. We do not serve espresso, we serve drip coffee (hot or iced) from the one and only Old City Coffee. Have a nice evening!

Is this location still BYO for brunch?

Yes it is! We are open daily 8am to 3pm and closed on Tuesdays. And the liquor store is right across the street 😉 hope to see you soon!

Is it the same owners as Porto?

    No. New owners.

A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports.
