I hate going to the dentist (who doesn't, right?), but I love Comfort Dental! They always confirm the appt. the day before which helps me remember, cuz I usually forget. Also my dentist, Dr. Jeffrey Crane is super awesome! He explains everything before doing any work and lets you choose your options after laying all the cards out on the table, so you are informed and better prepared. After decades of dental pain I went to free clinic... I had a severely line changing and traumatic experience at the Shirt Street Clinic had a 3 MAJOR strokes after dental work. I then went to comfort dental to remove the rest of my teeth for dentures. Great care and compassionate treatment. Flexible plans are available. I'm truly grateful for your hard work! The only trouble was calling... for anything! Months of calling to payments was so frustrating it's hard to get them on the phone to pay them, sometimes leaving multiple messages over several days. a few things to consider, make sure when your scheduling an appointment, to consider that they do not check to see if you'r insurance is currently active nor if they are able to except the insurance prior to appointment. due note, to ask before hand if insurance is covered so that your appointment isn't cancelled before hand or the day of scheduled for. This comfort dental on Colfax and Havana wholeheartedly deserves a one star review. I don't think I've ever been as disrespected the way they treated me. I'll start from the beginning. I had an appointment 12/07/2021 for a temporary crown. I waited 30+ minutes to be seen. Not a huge deal, I get that things happen. I run a restaurant and have been in the customer service industry for over 15 years. The clerk told me that I would pay $507 with my insurance. No problem. Once I get to the back and in a chair she comes back and says she made a mistake and that it now will cost $700. OK things happen so I signed the paper and they began the work. The dentist who did the work literally hardly said anything to me. Usually a Dentist will walk you through step-by-step of the process to make sure you're comfortable and things like that. None of that happened. The final step for the crown was for them to take a scan. Which the young lady did. I got a call the next day on December 8, 2021. They said that they did not get the scan and that I would need to come back that day for an impression. So I left work and picked up my son from school and made it to the appointment at 3 PM which was the agreed time. I sat there until 3:45 before I asked what was going on and would I be seen. My son had just got out of school and was hungry and I was told that it would be a 20 minute appointment. This is after sitting there for 45 minutes. Once we get to the room we sat there for another 15 minutes. By this time it's about 4:15 PM. The young lady doing the scan comes over and is on FaceTime on her cell phone because she doesn't know how to work the machine... She had another employee on FaceTime guiding her through what buttons to push on the machine to be able to take the scan! How is another employee guiding her of how to do her job? At this point it's out right ridiculous. Still, I waited. Then the young lady says "I'm going to take the temporary crown off and if it hurts let me know and I will numb you up."Wait a minute. "If it hurts I will numb you up?" After I was already shot in the gums yesterday and numbed up? They didn't do the job properly so they want me to come back the following day to do it over? After they told me on the phone that it would just be an impression? When I have my 6-year-old son with me and have somewhere to be at 5 PM? At that point I said I was leaving and that I did not feel comfortable. The young lady said "yeah whatever." And didn't even let the chair back down! I had to jump off! So I got up with my son and saw one of the other workers and said I need to speak to a supervisor immediately because the young lady did not know how to do her job. She's literally FaceTime timing another employee!!! What a joke!!! After I told the other worker that I needed the supervisor the young lady that was doing the scan started yelling at the top of her lungs and said "I know how to do my job!"Wait...? This isn't happening. But it was. One of the head dentist comes out and as I'm explaining the situation from what happened the day prior and the day of, the young lady that was doing the scan comes around the corner AGAIN yelling at the top of her lungs at me saying "Don't tell me I don't know how to do my job!" I yelled back at her - "Then why are you on face Time?!!" She was literally yelling at me in front of the head doctor/supervisor that I was speaking to! The other employees witnessed it as well as other clients. This place doesn't have professional employees and it shows. What employee would come out in front of a supervisor in engage with the client in an aggressive manner? This place. They gave me my $350 back that I paid the day prior. I then called and set an appointment elsewhere. Whoever the owner of this franchise is needs to get the young lady's name and investigate her. This can't be the first time she has acted irate with a client. And I know they have cameras there. You can see her running around the corner to come yell at me. It was unbelievable. The owner needs to check the cameras at 4 PM and you can clearly see this whole altercation go down. These people can hold someone's lives in their hand. This is a serious profession. I can't believe I was treated like that and aggressively and verbally attacked. The head supervisor was nice and did apologize. He told me that the young lady is usually very good. Sure. I've been coming to Comfort Dental for 15 years. Never have I been treated this way. I got braces done 10 years ago at this location and they were always very nice and professional. I get that this place is on Colfax but give me a break!Seems like they are used to dealing with people who are on Medicaid and the less fortunate so they feel like they can treat people like crap. Absolutely amazing:) I felt so comfortable here and it was a great experience overall. The lady who cleaned my teeth was so sweet and thoughtful. She told me she cleans teeth how she would want hers cleaned and it made me feel safe and less anxious. The dentist was super nice and informative as well. Will be coming back. Also happy they take Medicaid so I hope that doesn't change. Definitely suggest for dental care ! read more

I used to love this place, but its gone downhill. They no longer call or text reminders of appointments or to schedule., has an appointment today and they called me an hour before my appointment and cancelled, and told me it would be rescheduled a month snd a half later (and was nasty about it). Frauds. Dr Crain said he put a permanent crown on my tooth a year and a half ago. that crown came off eating chip's and salsa. He billed medicaid for a permanent when it was a temporary crown. He then told me that I would would have to pay for a new one cause medicaid won't pay for that procedure but evert 84 months. He did many procedures on my Wife's teeth also. All of them are now having to be corrected by Denver Health. I will be contacting medicaid and reporting fraud. I would advise that no one go there unless you want to waste your time and money, and not get you teeth fix, cleaned, and so forth unless you want to just have to do it again by someone else who will do it right read more

Dr Crane is great- Very knowledgeable and relatable. The office staff and dental assistants I have worked with could use some work. The dental assistant couldn't even floss between my teeth completely and when I went to pay she wanted to charge me $95 for a checkup and cleaning. Know what you are doing if you are gonna do it. read more

Doctors should never demand an X Ray as they are exposing patients to radiation. I called for a basic cleaning and was told that the x day determines what type of cleaning I will need? This makes no sense & it is just a way for the clinic to make more money. Wisdom teeth, x Ray. Basic cleaning, absolutely not needed. Horrible! read more

Dr. Zendig and his staff are friendly and easy to talk with. Dr. Zendig is amazing and most importantly knowledgeable. He will not recommend work to be done on your teeth unless it absolutely needs to be done, unlike some dentist offices that I've been to in the past. I highly recommend this office! read more

My daughter had some dental work done at this dentist, ok so far so good then she was referred to oral surgery to have some work done. Long story short, she had oral surgery done so we go back to this comfort dental on Colfax and Havana St and they refer her back to oral surgery because she STILL needs to have a couple of things done so I am frustrated because we did all that already. When my daughter went to to see about some replacements they NEVER even looked in her mouth to see that the dental work had been done!!! So frustrating. If you can't trust a dental team to make sure you are guided in the right direction and getting the work done without all the back and forth and confusion then who do you trust? They had the report in her records and NEVER even looked to make sure the work had been done!!!!!! I don't know if the dental assistant took it upon herself to make that decision or the if the dentist did. Either way it has been an inconvenience!!! :( read more

I will never attempt to be seen at this location again. Two days ago, when I called to schedule an appointment for an infected tooth. They told me that walk-ins were from 7-11 am. This morning I tried to go in, and they told me that they weren't accepting anymore walk-ins. Shouldn't you have disclosed that if it gets too busy you'll stop accepting walk-ins when I called? Dr. Flake is absolutely awesome! He is great with kids and very friendly. Before coming to Dr. Flake at Comfort Dental my daughter went to another dentist which was a horrible experience. Dr. Flake rebuilt my then 4-year-olds confidence and now she loves going to the dentist, she even looks forward to seeing Dr. Flake! He has done a couple of procedures on my daughter beyond a routine checkup and we walk out with a smile every time. This is the best dentist I have come across. He is a must for your kids! read more
