I went over 25 years without a cleaning or a dentist visit until I cracked one of my teeth and had to get a root canal.. there went the miserable six months of dentist doing a four hour root canal in the office ended up doing the incorrect tooth in having an infection goes so deep in my jaw. I had to get the other tooth root canal done as well... trauma after trauma after incompetence.. until I met this dentist office I absolutely fucking love!! Super nice. They know what they're doing. When that is brought up to office/reception staff they pretty much call you an outright liar and deny they ever told you a cost for the planned procedure/service. BEWARE. After not seeing a dentist due to COVID restrictions and having newly moved to Lacey, I found Comfort Dental through Google and they had many good reviews. First, I don't enjoy going to the dentist, but everyone from the receptionist, hygienist and dentist were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. They also make it easy to talk about any concerns I might have. They also have really great hours that make it easy for me to get in without having to take off work. (Late hours plus Saturday hours) Also, the doctor is very engaged and takes time to really look at your mouth. (Other places I've gone, I see the dentist for only a minute or so). I had a root canal and then a bridge put in. The bridge is inadequate and keeps falling off. I was accused of foods I ate which is untrue. It's off again and all I was eating was ice cream. I'm extremely disappointed having this bridge done by Comfort Dental in Lacey! Upon talking with my insurance company I've been charged incorrectly per the contract Comfort Dental has with my insurance company. I tried to call a manager and after asking my name they came back and suspiciously stated the manager had just left the building and it was during the morning time early. I'm so frustrated and not sure I trust them to do anymore work for my husband and I. He's had his own host of problems over them. I don't recommend this franchise of dental care. read more

Moved to Washington this year and did not have a dentist. Went by reviews and was drawn in by a $19.95 Xray and exam for new patients. Scheduled an appointment. Was seen on time. No thrills. I wasnt paying for the high tech imagery equipment and being pushed to go with all the latest gadgetry for a basic cleaning. The actual dentist did the first part of the cleaning. Then finished by the technician. Don't have dental insurance. But my total bill was $99. Easy enough. Be back in 6 months. read more

We were in search for an affordable dentist for my mother-in-law since she did not have any dental insurance. We came across a sign outside of the Comfort Dental office in Lacey that stated "$19 New Patient Exam & X-Rays" while in the area. After calling several dental offices for pricing, we found that Comfort Dental was the most affordable out of all. I called in and was able to get an appointment for my mother-in-law on the same day which was great! She had been complaining about an aching tooth for about a week, so we wanted to get it checked out as soon as possible since it was affecting her negatively. After the exam and x-rays, we were able to confirm that it was in fact a cavity that was causing the pain. After going over the pricing, which again was the most affordable out of the other dental offices I called, we agreed to work on the teeth causing the pain. Two days later, I brought my mother-in-law in for her appointment. Everything went smoothly. Now she is pain free and a happy camper =] ! The funny thing is, when we checked our mail today, we received a hand written letter from her dentist thanking her for coming in, and hoping she had a pleasant experience with Comfort Dental. I thought that was very nice of her dentist (I believe it was Dr. Scott... Correct me if I'm wrong. Forgot to ask for his name). Overall, we received really great customer service from Comfort Dental in Lacey and would recommend it to others. i've been coming here for years, in the beginning i was just a cash paying customer as i didn't have dental. then i got onto my works dental plan for a couple years. fast forward to this month, i lose my job which means i lose dental at the end of the month. i wanted to make sure i got an appt before the end of the month but when i called the earliest appt was march 2nd... but i explained that i was losing dental and the awesome front desk lady scheduled me an emergency appt for the next day (today). not only did i get my teeth cleaned, i also got them deep cleaned and a filling done! i appreciate that so much because if i were to pay out of pocket for that, it would have been so much more. Comfort dental has been really amazing. I've been here about three times for a much needed cleaning and they were very accommodating towards my needs, always making sure I was doing fine. The Dr had a very calming manner which also puts you at ease. I had to get a root canal and he made me feel so at comfortable because I was very nervous to get my first one. I also priced around and switched dental clinics because they have the best prices and most of all they do military discount which really helps. I'm definitely going to be sticking with them to replace all my silver fillings because they're not only fast at squeezing you in they're hours are amazing which helps when you have limited baby sitters and younger kids. I went there with a horrible toothache and this ridiculous dentist told me to take antibiotics over the weekend and come back Monday! I was not about to suffer all weekend and come back Monday so he could tell me whether he would pull the tooth or fill it! They also didn't have any heat and it was cold in there. This dentist saved me!! 7 months pregnant and they were able to get me in on a Saturday same day appointment. I had ate or slept in 2 days because of the pain I was in. The dentist did an emergency root canal. He talked me through the whole thing and was very helpful. They gave me the cost up front and I paid exactly that at the end! Needing an above average amount of dental work done...the quoted prices for my situation are so great, there was no need to shop around, any further. Really great service. I had made an appointment & ended up needing to be seen two days before my scheduled appointment. It was no problem at all. The whole team was very professional. The best part of my visit was being part of a dental assistant being trained. She was hired for sterilization, ended up training for dental assisting. This was awesome seeing promotion from within. Dr. Scott was amazing, killed two birds with one stone durning my visit. Price was the best, went hand in hand with my current insurance. After getting my statement from the insurance company all charges were legitimate. Patient follow up exceeded my expectations. I come from managing a retail environment and this was amazing. Not impressed! I just moved here, looking for a new dentist. This place was uninterested in sending for my prior (35 year) medical/dental record from the previous dentist office; I asked two different employees about that both at the time I made my appointment and after I arrived. "We can start fresh!" the receptionist told me. They were running nearly 30 minutes late....and my time is valuable to me. The examination area absolutely reeked of cooking smells -- it hit me the minute the door between the reception room and back area was opened. The technician was not appropriate; she constantly called me "honey" and "hon;" the couple of times I tried to ask a question or comment she interrupted me. It made me feel inconsequential. The equipment and environment were very old school...not at all the modern office and equipment I am used to seeing in a dental practice. More like dental offices of 12-15 years ago. Overall, the experience didn't inspire confidence. I'm sure they are pleasant people and mean well, but this is not the dental office for me!! read more

I was really impressed by the skill the dentist had in fixing my chipped tooth and giving me a crown. It was somewhat of a challenge because of a lot of surrounding crooked teeth, and I think the dentist here is really talented technically and artistically. They made my teeth look as best they could and allowed me to tell him how I felt and did adjustments that used my own sense of what I thought looked best. I was really appreciative that that happened. I would say this is one of the friendliest and kindest dentists I have encountered. read more

I really regret my decision in selecting your office for my dental care. It is a terrible feeling to have exhausted my dental benefits with your office and not have a dentist when I am having so much difficulty with this tooth. I would be happy to pay cash to have the tooth pulled. If I go somewhere else, I will have to pay for a new exam, xrays, etc. The dentist you referred me to is booking into very late October, early November. I will have to live with this rotten tooth for three weeks. I have to stay on antibiotics or deal with incredible headaches and tooth pain. I wish I had chosen a dentist who would look at the big picture of my dental care instead of this one issue. Your office has already been paid for several other procedures. I'm not a huge fan of the dentist, like most. It usually takes some serious dental issues to drag me into these places. I had a tooth crack on me yesterday, and they had me in the office today. They will be extracting the tooth in a few days. Very efficient. The staff were professional and courteous, and kept their personal opinions to themselves. I didn't feel badgered about letting a cavity get so bad it broke my tooth. (In my defense I was pregnant- high risk- and it was not emergent.) things were explained thoroughly and I was provided an upfront cost. Broke the composite filling on my front tooth Christmas Eve, this was the closest dentist open the Saturday after Christmas. From the receptionist, to the assistant, to the dentist, everyone was friendly and attentive. In and out within two hours, and my tooth looks better than before. My husband and I do not have dental insurance and we found ourselves hopping from dentist to dentist to find the best deals. When I had a tooth crack, I knew I needed a crown, which is expensive! My last crown cost me $1100. After doing some research, I decided to try Comfort Dental in Lacey and saw Dr. Walton. My first impression was that it was a "no frills" office, very plain. However, I was very impressed with the staff and Dr. Walton. He was very patient to answer all my questions, and I was shocked that Dr. Walton did the teeth cleaning himself! I was fitted for a crown and had to wait a couple weeks for it to come from the lab, which was kind of a bummer, but it was a beautiful crown, it looks like a real tooth! Comfort Dental has their own labs and they do splendid work. The best news for me was the price... I saved hundreds of dollars over my last crown. My husband will be making his appointment soon and this is our new dental home! read more
