I have a mini panic attack whenever I go to my normal dentist office (although they're all lovely as well- it's really a me thing, not a them thing). However, when I go to Great Oak Oral Surgery, I'm actually excited. I look forward to seeing Dr Farren, who handles himself with a calm composure and has gone above and beyond to help put any fears or anxieties I have at ease without judgement. Hilary, Mackenzie, and Meghan (surgical medical staff) have fun, contagious, uplifting personalities and humor. When you're with them, it's almost like you're with friends. It's not what you'd expect from an oral surgeons office, but it sets a high standard for all dentistry in our area- surgical or not. I live in Troy and work in Clifton Park and I am 100% not only willing but eager to drive to Albany for this practice. From the moment you're greeted by the lovely front desk staff who are patient and kind- to the surgical staff who can make you laugh in a situation most people wouldn't be able to- to Dr Farren, who goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and happy with the results. We…read morecame up with a plan for replacing old cracked fillings and for a tooth that I hung onto for way too long. The hygienist was amazingly friendly and professional and so good at her craft. She put me on a shorter cleaning schedule so I could catch up from the neglect through Covid days. Didn't hurt a bit! After about a year and a half playing catch up, the work has begun. I'm well on my way to my teeth being fully restored! Also, after weighing all of my options about that darn tooth, I finally got rid of it and can smile again without being embarrassed. They provided me with choices and gave me time to make the right decision for myself. No pressure! I'm glad I chose here. I can see the difference in care from other places I have been. My first experience with Drs. Vallecorsa could not have gone better! Though I guess you could say…read morea 4 month wait for my first appointment, and an over-full parking lot could be areas for dissatisfaction, instead I looked at that as proof of a well-managed and popular business. The initial setup and paperwork went very smoothly. Everyone here is very friendly and professional, and even though the dental area of the home is very busy, it's almost as if there's some secret traffic director or choreographer helping things run smoothly. My first consultation with their newest and youngest Dr. Vallecorsa also went really well, even to the point of him offering to reattach a partial crown that had popped off one of my molars unexpectedly a few days earlier. It was great being able to see my teeth on the high-res monitor as well, a luxury I hadn't had at my prior dentist. I'm very glad this practice had been recommended to me.
