This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The tub would not drain, the hair dryer would not work. The carpet was worn and damaged. The staff was more interested in playing on their phone than helping the guest. read more

Not our hotel choice but since they were booked up we had no other choice. First, signs everywhere stating 100% smoke free..well, let me say it smelled like a smokers lounge. Inside our room smelled stale and the bathroom smelled like someone was sitting there smoking. Every time I went to use the bathroom, I'm sneezing. Paint peeling off the ceiling. We were on the second floor. A couple came trying to get inside their room, seems like they were outside our room and either they didn't know how to use the key card or they were just ... they were loud, swearing and very rude. Kids running up and down the hall very loud and discourteous. Slamming doors as early as 6am. We didn't sleep well and the worse experience ever. Glad it was just one night. read more

Another year and another 5 star rating! We've been coming here for years for our anniversary and each time we notice the upgrades in this Comfort Inn. The rooms are super clean, the furnishings are new, the staff from the front desk to the housekeepers all show a interest in our being THEIR visitor! The breakfast has never been disappointing... always enough for everyone with a wide range of food and fluids. The area is close to downtown Fall River; very close to onramps to other key cities yet situated in the quiet industrial park. As long as we can drive we will be back next year and beyond. So the rating online is 2.5 stars. I think that's fairly accurate. I bid on Priceline and got the room for $60 a night and find that just about right. Free wifi - spotty in some areas/rooms. I had to change rooms to get a signal since I was there for work. They were accommodating doing this though. Free breakfast - hot and cold buffet. Just enough to get your morning started. Free parking. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is friendly. Not a "new" hotel but its alright. read more

Saw their "Badda Book, Badda Boom" ads (I still have no idea what that means), and thought, hey, perhaps they're worth a try. Well, not so much. Problems included the elevator being stuck at checkin, a very noisy room A/C, a twitchy room key reader, a missing (as in ripped entirely out) hook on the bathroom door, very thin walls between rooms (easy to hear what was being said next door), and, absolutely amazing and unforgivable, no shower curtain! They also didn't seem to know my room was pre-paid and for some reason have charged me an additional $20, which will hopefully not post as a real charge on my card. These guys need a refresher course in basic hotel management. I was there for one night and won't return. Oh, and not wanting to tempt fate, I skipped breakfast. This place was pretty good. When you walk in the lobby is nice. The elevators are okay and the hallways smell a little ,but it's fine. The rooms are pretty big and the beds are comfy. The pillows are a little small(see in photo) but it's not like I haven't seen that in any other hotel. read more

We arrived at 1pm to find out that the indoor pool was closed an the jacuzzi suite was only big enough for one person if your traveling alone this is a really relaxing room 218 the elevator was out of order an there breakfast was horrible the pastry was hard an tasted old an well no one was attempting to stock any food at all overall we will not be returning especially after costing $135 plus a $100 more for a deposit but at least you get that back in the morning. . It's 1:10 in the morning and the employees sound like they are throwing a party. Wouldn't be a problem if my room wasn't right next to the lobby. Paid money to relax, only to be awakened every half hour by the ridiculous noise. They are even playin music at this hour!!! Called lobby to ask if they could turn the noise down a little.... instead they purposely got louder. Ridiculous customer service and people hanging out with them in the lobby are sketchy at this hour. Never coming here again!!! read more

Stayed two nights, room & bed where clean , shower worked, typical hotel breakfast, which is all you can reasonably ask of an inexpensive hotel. The only thing that irked me was the cable tv service. Which did not offer MSNBC. I believe , if you're going to carry FOX "news", you should also offer MSNBC as an antidote to the poison. read more

We booked this hotel since we were at a wedding very close by so we only stayed one night. Check in was very quick and we were placed on the 2nd floor. The view out the window isn't exactly special since you're overlooking the parking lot. I could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway once we got out of the elevator however, the room did not smell of smoke at all. The room was very clean and the furnishings were above average. The bed was very comfortable which I didn't expect for a budget hotel. The bathroom had two sinks with one sperated by the toliet. My only complaint was that the window did not open because the handle was broken in the shut position (could have been an issue if we couldn't ahve gotten out of the room in an emergency and had to use the window. Also the air conditioner was quite noisy during the night. Other than that our stay was pleasant and we really didn't hear anyone in the halls (don't know if there were people staying there) They also provide a daily breakfast which we tried. It was not the greatest but we didn't even expect anything. They provided eggs with sausage, waffles which you could make yourself and lots of fresh fruit in addition to juices and coffee and yogurt. Check out was easy and quick. I would highly recommend this hotel if you were visiting nearby and needed a place for the night however, I would not recommend it for any lengthy stay since it really isn't near much and not a resort type of hotel. The hotel does also put up families that have been displaced or need a home. Some of them were hanging out outside the entrance and their children were playing in the parking lot. read more

My wife and I have been staying in Comfort Inn and Suites hotel at Airport Road/Industrial Park area for a few weeks; you won't find our names in too many reviews but, I have to boast on this hotel; to us comfort is a clean room, fair price and friendly staff, it has not been disappointing; for the last two months we've stayed in both Hyannis and this Comfort Inn hotels and they have treated with much respect, not to mention the discount given. Let me start by saying that the people at the front desk are very nice and very accommodating. It was my first time booking a hotel room (legit, very first ever time) and they were very helpful when I got to the hotel. I was able to book a one bedroom with two queen beds, and an added cot. There were 3 adults and 2 children under the age of 6 so it worked out great. Just the right size. The beds were comfy, the pool was a lot of fun, and the breakfast buffet wasn't terrible either. My ONLY complaint that gives this a 3 star is that the booking process with debit/credit cards is explained but not thoroughly. I booked in advance and was charged immediately for the room through an app called Booking.com. There was nothing on the app that said I would be charged immediately and that was explained once I called. Since I was booking so early in advance, I got up to 25% off my stay for one night, and because it was some promotional thing, they charged me so I could get the deal. Thankfully I had the money in my account, but not the point. I live paycheck to paycheck and it screwed me up financially since I wasn't prepared for it to take out so soon. When I got to the hotel, they couldn't find my booking at first and they were going to charge me again. I said no that isn't acceptable and showed my bank statement with the charge two weeks prior to getting to the hotel for our one night stay, as well as showed them my reservation through my Booking app. When I asked for a cot, I was informed it was another $10.97 which was fine, I paid cash because I didn't want my credit card to be ran again. They informed me of the hold for $20 on a credit card, but failed to inform me that there would be ANOTHER hold of $10.97 for the cot, that I paid for IN CASH. So a total of $30.97 is still on hold almost 3 days after checking out of the hotel and I was told it would only be a 24hour hold. Literally, aside from the payment stuff, this is a decent place to stay. read more

We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding weekend in Newport, RI. This was the closest hotel that didn't want to charge $300/night or more so it was pretty much our only choice for clean and comfortable accommodations. I believe a total of 80 of us booked at the hotel as wedding guests. I called for early check in and was told it wouldn't be a problem. I arrived and check in was quick. The girls at the front desk were very nice. Our room was clean and fairly updated. Flat screen TV, fridge that kept our drinks VERY cold, microwave, coffee maker, free WIFI (very poor connection) and AC that kept the room cold. One odd thing is that there is a curved out shower curtain, which means that bathroom door can't really open all the way. Also, there is no shower curtain liner and that means when you take a shower, unless you pull the fabric curtain inside, water gets all over the floor. If you pull the curtain in, it gets soaked. Poor planning on whoever made that decision. There was a hair dryer, two sinks, full length mirror, hang bar for clothes, iron and ironing board. We had two double beds and we had asked for a king. We were told no kings were available; however others who checked in after us were frustrated because they ended up with a king and wanted two doubles. So the hotel could have been much more accommodating in that respect. It seemed a great deal of us who wanted one king bed got doubles and vice versa. (The rate was the same for all of us.) All the ice makers in the building except one were out of order. As you keep reading you'll see that this hotel basically isn't maintained. Moving on.... Breakfast in the morning was okay. It put something in your stomach. There were waffles, scrambled eggs, greasy sausage, cereal, bagels and pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. Not great, but no inedible. I found it weird that one of the girls who works there was stepping in front of guests to get her own breakfast. She actually cut in front of me to use the toaster for her bagel. Very rude and unprofessional. Nice that there is a Dunkin Donuts within walking distance. Other amenities: Work out room....4 machines, 3 were broken. Really?? So we went to use the hot tub and couldn't find the button to start the jets. In every hotel I've ever stayed in there is a button to make the jets start. There wasn't one at this hotel. My husband walked to the front desk to ask where it was and they said there wasn't one....? Even though there is a button with a big sign that says "emergency jets shut off". So I'm thinking it's just broken? (Common theme here). So it's just basically hot water to soak in. I joked that we should have brought soap and taken a bath. We figured we'd sit for a few minutes any way since we were down there, and slowly realized the hot tub was covered in slime and a film of grease was on top of the water. The room the pool is in is dirty and very unkempt. Rusty and broken chairs to sit in, holes in the wall, really creepy feeling. We exited and wrapped one of the hand towels (pool towels) around us and went back to our room to take showers. Gross. On the way up we had the non pleasure of talking to one of the girls who cleans rooms, who told us that all her coworkers suck and she had to punch one of them and can't get into another fight or she'll get fired. And when she works overtime she doesn't get paid time and a half, they put the time over 40 hours on the next paycheck. She said she was looking for a new job and wanted to go work at the Marriott. All we said to her to provoke this was: "Good morning, how are you?" Oy. Check out was uneventful. Our charges were correct ($230 total for 2 nights, including tax) and it only took a minute to get a printed receipt. Overall, it definitely did the trick for the two nights we had to stay there. It served its purpose, but I'd never voluntarily choose to book a room here. read more

Checked in late. So there was just one person at the counter. It was an okay service but I've had much better and courteous service at other location with the same chain. I don't know why or what there's just this strong smell in this hotel that makes me really sick. The building itself was all worn out and the room was not that clean. This hotel was better than I had expected. Our room was very clean, nothing seemed out of sorts and our bed was fairly comfy and clean. The pillows are tiny, but I find you get that in a lot of hotels now. Our room was fairly large, even with a king size bed. The bathroom was decent, no issues. We did not experience the free breakfast. The staff seemed friendly and would apologize if they couldn't get to you right away. I would stay here again. read more

I went here for a 2 night stay last week. My stay was good except for the smell of smoke on the second floor and getting double charged after I left. I used a debit card but the front desk said it was only a preauthorization that would drop off after my stay. Well, after my stay I got charged again for 2 nights. This is a huge inconvenience if I was living paycheck to paycheck which usually I am. I called the 800 reservation number and got an Indian speaking person. He said he saw what happened and should be no problem to help me. He then gave me a new number to call. Before this he said I won a free 3 night stay. He forwarded me to this guy who tried to sell me a timeshare if I took this trip (not told to me at first). So I hung up and called the refund # he gave me. She proceeded to not be able to find the hotel I stayed at even though the hotel is part of the choice hotels she works for..ha ha..well after wasting an hour of my time, she said I needed to call the hotel I stayed at because I went through a 3rd party seller- Priceline. Needless to say I was not happy and had a few choice words for her. Finally I called the hotel and the mngr said he sees the error and will fix it. I asked why it happened and he said the front desk must not have recognized that it was a prepaid reservation but I know they did because she told me she noticed that. So I dont feel they trained their front desk properly or it was just a mistake. But this mistake can really mess with people's bank accounts. Overall my stay was good, but my girlfriend tripped on a spill in front of the elevator and tore her ligaments in ankle.. I did enjoy the breakfast and the pool. read more

After seeing all the negative comments I was a little hesitant to stay here for one night...but it was not bad at all! Room was very clean and had a modern look to it, with a comfy bed. Not your typical hotel room with the generic paintings and flower pattern dirty comforter. The area surrounding the hotel was pretty ugly, with a land fill across the street. Stood at this place for a few nights all the blankets seemed to smell funny and had stains on most of them. One of the rooms stunk of what I would say was a mildew smell. The bathrooms were somewhat clean except the shower, the mirrors, under the sink, behind the door, the door itself and behind/under the toilet. We actually ran to the store and bought some supplies to clean it a bit ourselves before using it. Everyday my family and myself had to wait for more clean towels, you would think being a hotel that they would have extras on hand but they didn't. It could have been do to what seemed like they were training new workers but still that should be no excuse for a hotel. The staff is friendly but alot of them look like they're on drugs or drunks, especially the woman who was doing the breakfast. We had a problem with the fridge which they just swapped it out for another one but the maintenance guy seemed incompetent and smelled of cigarettes, nasty B.O. and booze. Which the room stunk for about an hour after he was done. We didn't complain since my wife thought it seemed like the type of place that might rummage through our belongings when we left and steal some of our things or worse wipe themselves on our clothes or bedsheets. I would suggest if you could DON"T STAY HERE! You can go stay at one of the places in somerset or swansea that are pretty close to this place for half the price and it's just as clean maybe even cleaner. read more

I recently visited the Fall River area for the Narrows Center for the Arts to see Joan Osbourne and stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites. The hotel was beautiful and conveniently located near the Narrows Center! I had my kids with me, so I was looking for a hotel with a pool and breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and my kids loved the waffles! The pool was large and had a hot tub. I'd recommend it to anyone that is going to the Narrows Center! read more

BED BUGS!!!!I rented a room for my sons 10th birthday sleep over. Upon arrival we were greeted . We got up to our room it was nice it appeared to be clean. The pool area was clean and the salt water pool was warm , and clean .Our stay was going well up until bed. I went to sleep around 12:30 and woke up around 1:30 itching so bad on my back . I thought maybe my skin was irritated from the soap as I used theirs. I was awake all night . I wish I would have gotten out of bed but at the same time I am a little glad I didn't the next morning I got out of the bed and went to the mirror and there were welts up and down my back . I was so freaked out I immediately went to the front desk and asked for the manager he said one was not available I showed him my back and he immediately refunded my stay and I asked for plastic bags. I put all of my sons stuff , my stuff , my friend son , and my pregnant friends belongings in plastic the kids wanted to go to the pool and I thought it was going to help. on Sunday night I took a shower and noticed more bites on my arms I have a total of 28 bites . I took Benadryl and cortisone cream and woke up Monday and they were still the same . I called the hotel because housekeeping never followed up and they said it was a rash from their detergent. I left work and went to urgent care and it was confirmed I have bed bug bites. I am glad I took all proper precautions that I did just in case .. I tried to call the hotel back and they did not answer. I am beyond disgusted that I had bugs crawling on me in my sleep . One of the little boys who slept without his shirt on has a couple bites as well. I am waiting to here from corporate . THE HOTEL DENIED THAT THEY FOUND BUGS IN THE ROOM!!. I have pictures from the night before and you can clearly see no bed bugs . I checked the mattress but did not unzip the cover to check the actual mattress . I wish I had. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights while attending a local wedding. On the first night when we went into our assigned room we found someone sleeping in it since the hotel did not properly update their electronic records. Every time, except once, that we tried to enter our room the hotel key cards did not work (and we had been protecting the keys from cellphones/ credit cards to avoid demagnetizing). If you go to the pool be sure to bring your own towels as there were none available in the pool room and there is no hot tub. Pros: staff was friendly, free parking, close to the highway, close proximity to restaurant/ bar & Dunkin Donuts. read more
