Mixed berry shortcake (best part of the entire experience)
    Bre B.

We paid the same price as other guests but we were placed in what felt like the cheap seats or an afterthought in a separate room from the dining room. Our view of the actresses was fair to poor. About 90% of their time was spent in the main dining room, we got a semi side view of them. Two of the four of us that were placed in the side room (sitting room) for dinner got put into a truly cheap seats (uncomfortable plastic folding chairs) it was unpleasant....due to the humidity my legs kept sticking to the hard plastic chair. It would have been nice to have interacted with the other guests, to have had a better view, and to have heard the actresses more clearly. Our quasi side view of the actresses and fair to poor acoustics in the side room an unpleasant experience that spoiled what could have really been a great experience. However, I am pleased that the food was good. Red pepper soup, salad, chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a delicious mixed berry shortcake. Service was also very good. Megan, who portrayed Lizzie's sister was a very entertaining performer/actress. You can tell she truly is a Borden family fan and a history enthusiast. Elaina (who portrayed Lizzie) was more lackluster and disengaged....maybe this was intentional to highlight Lizzie's unemotional responses after the murders? I'd recommend to add in a tour of the Borden house before or after the dinner, just being inside and seeing the 3 rooms was interesting. I'd be interested in returning for the tour or an overnight stay in the future. Taking guests on a tour would be a great marketing tactic (increase overnight stays/returns for tours, interest in future events, and/or product sales). Overall, for the price we paid, we didn't enjoy this experience and we don't recommend it.

Went a while ago for a house tour and the story telling was good. I definitely felt spirits in the house but I did feel a little disrespectful in that house and the gift shop. I am not a psychic but I am a sensitive. The entire tour, it was almost as if a voice was telling me "I didn't do it." Kinda crazy!! I will consider an overnight. I'd like to get more into doing paranormal investigations and exploring new places.

For our 2000 mile drive, Mrs. K. only added one item to the itinerary - she wanted to see the house. I asked, but she was not interested in spending the night. But that is an option for you if you'd like to stay in a haunted house. Our tour was fabulous. Larry spent over an hour walking us through the various rooms of the property, explaining the events leading up to and after the murders, explaining the family dynamic, the comings and goings of neighbors and then the trial itself. Beyond that, the life she lived after her acquittal. Details and side stories and lots of drama. Just a tremendous time and I can't recommend it highly enough. This is a fabulous time in American history. And yes, they have a complete gift shop in the back. Book ahead for the tour, or you can just show up at the gift shop any time. As to "Is it haunted?" I will say that we did not see or encounter anything on the tour but it does seem strange that every cup of coffee we had since then has been flavorless. No correlation but... strange. Had a great experience during the tour on Halloween this year! Nick our tour guide was amazing host and guide, definitely set the theme for every story keeping the large group that was there captivated. The house itself as a bed & breakfast is a fantastic way to enjoy the history and mystery of the home. Hoping to stay soon, having enjoyed the tour and history of the home.

Went on the tour about an hour long, paid extra $7 for the basement visit. Small group for the tour and had a blast. Tour guide Elaina was awesome, she answered all our questions and her excitement for the history and mystery made the tour all that more exciting. Learned so much I didn't know before. Loved the tour, would highly recommend, my favorite historical/ mystery tour I've been on.

A group of friends and I rented the whole bed-and-breakfast for an overnight paranormal ghost hunt. We had accessibility to all four floors which included the basement, the kitchen and dining area where Mr. Borden was murdered, the upstairs bedroom areas where Mrs. Borden was murdered and the attic where Bridget, the maid resided. We did have our own equipment, but the bed-and-breakfast does offer kits with various tools to utilize through the night. In the morning, the staff cooked us the meal of the Borden's last morning, which included pancakes with confectioners sugar, eggs, sausages, home fries and orange juice. The barn is turned into a gift shop where there's a bunch of collectibles to choose from. With our package stay, we were able to get an ax and a Lizzie doll. I also got Max the cat plush doll, a T-shirt and a shot glass. The prices are reasonable for a gift shop.

There were six of us and our tour guide was Megan. She was so informative and knew so much history and gave us lots of things to question about this tragic situation. It was very interesting and she was very entertaining. We are glad we went and now want to watch the movie again. The only negative thing I thought of is that it was very warm in some of the rooms with 13 people in the tour. Some of the rooms are very small.

The tour was great! We learned about the murders of Andrew and Abby Borden. Megan with the red hair was a great tour guide who went into extravagant detail on the story of the axe murders.

Enjoyed an overnight stay at this creepy home. We ended up booking out this whole home with a group of friends. So much history in this house. Definitely creepy vibes here. Staff was helpful and friendly.

We just finished up our tour at the Historic Lizzie Borden House in Falls River, and what a fabulous experience was had by everyone in my group (6 people ages 12-84)! My husband and sons are fans of the horror genre, so they were convinced as soon as "murder by hatchet" was mentioned. My friend and mother in law were more interested in the historical aspects of the building/costumes/etc and the efforts to reconstruct the story. Our remarkably knowledgeable tour guide, Megan Alves, could speak to all these matters and so much more. As my 12 year old son summarized it at the end, she had the encyclopedic knowledge of a historian and the humor and cheek of an entertainer. We highly recommend this tour.

Ten out of ten! Especially if you're into ghostly stuff! Each room was packed with information about the trials and stuffed with history from the original house. Wouldn't say it's the most haunted place ever but it definitely gave me the creeps

Loved the tour it was very interesting and informative. I wish I had the tour guides name so I can put her name in this review because she was fantastic . I was there Earlier today at 330 pm tour. Great time .. bucket list to come and see the house .

We stopped at the scenic waterfront Bayside Station where we were able to use our 2 tickets for alcoholic drinks like Mimosas, Bellinis, and Bloody Marys. I get it trips get cancelled when there aren't enough people signed up for it. But in this case, they didn't even bother to tell me/us. Even got the confirmation/reminder email the day before. So being at the pickup point and its 5 minutes after we're supposed to leave, I call them to see what's going on and then they tell me it got cancelled and I should've been told Tuesday, but obviously wasn't and again, even got the confirmation/reminder email the day before. As someone that doesn't get a lot of time out work to burn a day off with nothing to show for it is extremely frustrating, and honestly, I just can't risk getting burned again. The owner Ted called later that day offering to make it right and I was refunded the money for the trip and the other trip I cancelled but I can't risk burning another day off with nothing to show for it. Ted picked us up from the Visitor information Center two minutes prior to 7:00am. The mini coach bus was pretty full from the first pickup location. We then went on our way to the third pickup location. After our mini coach bus was full, we crossed Bourne Bridge to Woods Hole Terminal in Cape Cod to take a 45 minute Steamship Authority's ferry ride to Oak Bluffs. The ferry ride was smooth. When we got to Oak Bluffs, Ted told us about the history of Martha's Vineyard and gave us a map. First, we went to the fishing village of Menemsha for lunch and I walked to Menemsha Public Beach. Stanley Larsen, owner of Menemsha Fish Market, came on board the bus and showed us the jaws of a great white shark he caught in 1983 while swordfishing. Next, we went to the Aquinnah Cliffs Overlook to admire the beautiful cliffs of Aquinnah and Gay Head Light. This was my favorite part of the whole trip. Then, we explored the lovely harbor of shops and homes in Edgartown. I walked to the Edgartown Harbor Lighthouse, which is very close to Harbor View Hotel. Ted talked to us about the Chappaquiddick incident that occurred sometime around midnight, between July 18 and 19, 1969, while standing in front of the Harbor View Hotel looking out at the Poucha Pond. On the way to Oak Bluffs, we stopped at the "Jaws Bridge," a popular spot for jumping into the water despite signs prohibiting it. Lastly, we saw the gingerbread cottages and the tabernacle of Oak Bluffs. We then took the Steamship Authority's ferry ride from Vineyard Haven back to Woods Hole Terminal. We returned to Visitor information Center at the Rhode Island Convention Center about 7:30pm. Everyone on the trip were very respectful of the time Ted told us to return to the bus and were very friendly. This was a wonderful, fun, informational day trip to New England's most popular island and I am so glad I got to explore Martha's Vineyard for the first time with Experience Rhode Island Tours. Ted took us on a tour of the entire island, exploring its six towns. The tour included admission to Martha's Vineyard ferry, narrated tour, and round-trip transportation to and from the ferry, and transportation throughout the day on the Vineyard. Experience Rhode Island Tours always does a great job with their tours and I am looking forward to what other tours they plan in the future!

The driver (my wife said his name was Richard) was anxious to get through the tour because there was so much to see in 3 hours... I'm like, okay then let's stop at the stuff people want to take pics of and blow off the rest of this crap. He also zoomed by and barely slowed down long enough to take a photo of something other than the back of the hand of the person sitting in front of you... the hand that was still there because they didn't have time to take a pic either. The driver also talked about Obama and Clinton the ENTIRE tour. I lost count at 8 stories. (This is not an exaggeration.) (Owner denied this could be true... ask anyone else who was on this tour... and I'm sure he uses these stories consistently.) I'm not a staunch anti-dem, but this was simply ridiculous.
