The tops and bottoms don't always match, even when they have the same color and off the same rack as if they are supposed to go together. This has happened with many blacks that have. I have 7 black sweatpants and 5 black sweatshirts and almost none of them match. The service is on point and their discounts are usually really good. Date I say the best on the east coast but it could be that I just happen to have more access so I see the 40% days more than I do at the other locations. I've actually never seen anything higher than 20% at the other 7 east coast locations I've been to. None-the-less, the colors need to match better.

The selection is great. My only real interaction with an employee was at the register. She was friendly, and checked us out quickly. I like this location but I like the DC location better. There are more sales associates on the floor at the DC location that's my reasoning behind that. I'll come here if I am in the area.

There is also a substantial selection of dress and casual shoes for men. This section was not an afterthought! The store was obviously clean since it opened 2 days ago. I would agree with some of the comments here that at times when I come to the store, the customer service is a hit or miss. There are times when you are greeted as soon as you come through the door and/or someone ask if they may be of assistance. Other times, it can be crickets and the staff here seem to walk around as if they don't want to be bothered. lol. This does not bother me personally, but I can see how others may be offended, especially when you're spending your hard earned coins in this store. Open air mall with lots of restrooms, seating, and a few food trucks & choices to match. This outlet has it all. The focus is on shopping, so food choices tend to be slim and there are a few food trucks in a little park to help ease those hunger pains while shopping. The stores are always on trend and well-stocked with bargains. I've never had any issues at any of the shops finding what I need and the staff in the stores are always helpful. Definitely, one of my favorite shops for "grab and go' items or shopping for the holidays! You can't go wrong with shopping at this place. Definitely recommend a visit.

The employee at the door, who later identified herself as the assistant manager, did not greet us, welcome us, or acknowledge us in any meaningful way. As I shopped, it appeared that she was monitoring my movements from aisle to aisle, which was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When I selected shoes and had my granddaughter try them on, the employee made no effort to offer assistance, ask if we needed help, or check if we had found everything we were looking for. When I went to check out, the assistant manager simply walked to the register and told me to bring my items over. She did not ask if I was ready to purchase or if I had found everything I needed. I also requested a military discount and was prepared to show my military ID, but was told it would not apply to the shoes I selected. No clear explanation was given, and the policy seemed inconsistent and unclear. During the checkout process, instead of focusing on my transaction, the assistant manager carried on a casual conversation with the security guard, who was eating popcorn at the time. They openly discussed other customers in the store, which I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. This was not only poor service--it was unacceptable behavior for someone in a management role. As the first and primary representative customers encounter, the assistant manager set a negative tone for the entire experience. If this is the standard of customer service that Famous Footwear accepts from its leadership at Tanger Mall, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this store to others. I strongly urge corporate leadership to review both the professionalism of the store's management and the clarity of its military discount policy. Customers deserve clear answers and respectful service at every level of the organization.
