I was on a mission, looking for dress shoes for an upcoming wedding and an evening bag as well. This place is huge, but it's dimly lit and there's no music so deadly it's silent and on top of that an employee was walking around telling everyone that they were closing within the hour, not a very welcoming environment. I drove from Arlington because the sister property Rack Room mentioned my size was available here. I'm so glad I made the drive because I thought professionalism and good customer service was a unicorn these days. Nope! Larry is an example of what a company would want as a leader. Got a good deal on dress shoes. They are comfortable, and have endured pounding the pavement style walking. Route 7 can be unique. Parking usually is a cinch on this side of the strip mall. On May 7th, I went to the store with my wife and child to buy some shoes. We were in the kids' section near the Crocs when an employee started giving us dirty looks just because there was still an hour left before closing. When we asked her for help, she responded in a rude and dismissive way. What shocked us the most was what happened next. She used the store walkie-talkie to talk about us in a really disrespectful way, calling us "dirty people" just for trying on shoes. She was speaking in both English and Spanish, using vulgar language, and didn't even care that we were close enough to hear everything she said. We asked the cashier for this person name, and she told us her name is "Marysonia" and that she's actually the manager of the store. The cashier also gave us the customer service number so we could file a complaint. We've already contacted customer service, but we also wanted to share our experience here. No one deserves to be treated like that--especially by someone who's supposed to be in charge. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We don't recommend shopping at this store. Every minute someone would YELL in the microphone the store is about to close from the 45 minute mark every 10 minute would actually YELL into the microphone. I asked one of the managers if this Nike shoe was $49 As marked on the sign because when i scan the box it was $74 She said it was $49 as marked on the sign. I went to give the shoes back so she knew I wasn't going to take them and she proceeded to go on her little microphone and talk about the interaction I had with her as if I was not there to try and humiliate me. I confronted her and she said "You think I want to fight with an OLD lady like you". I asked to speak to a manager and she just chuckled and said she understood and to have a nice day. The Buy One Get One half price is what lured us into the store. We got a pair of Eurosoft sandals and a pair of Reef flip flops. Turns out that Reef is not part of the promotion. They don't post the list of products that aren't in the promotion. The sign says " Exclusions apply ". Since the Eurosofts were higher price, they didn't qualify for half price. I walked into the store at 2040 and my kids went straight to the aisle to try out the shoes they like without wasting anytime. at 2049 one of the employee approached me with a very hostile attitude and asked "do you guys need help"? to which i replied "no, thanks". She then made a rude comment and told me if you don't need help then stop touching the shoes and stop misplacing the shoes. I then turned towards her and said " I'm sorry, who are talking to like that, I don't work for you and I'm not done with selection". she then responded back and called me a "big assman" and stated that I shouldn't be talking like that front of my kids. i asked for a manger to which she stated that she is the manager and want to get the hill out of the store and start yelling at me and other employees telling them not to assist me with checkout. I'll stop by the store on Monday on 22Apr2024 to find out which was I treated this way and get information in regards to, is it the customer responsibility fix and make the store neat after shopping or the employees? read more

I don't go in here often but when I do leave with at least one pair of shoes, and I guess that makes me a fan. I use this place for some comfortable basic items. For me that often means sneakers for me and hubby and causal dress shoes for the hubby. I usually visit here after getting the b-day text with a coupon to use. I come in to Off Broadway with realistic expectations. I am not looking for the perfect purple shoes or amazing gold flats. I have larger feet and do not expect them to be able to answer those wishes (although I do a quick walk down the isle just for kicks mostly because I did once find a couple of awesome heals in two great colors in my size, I think they must get some returns / left overs from other places). My friend and husband doing better here because they wear more 'normal' sizes. I love that I can take the hubby in here and find him a couple pairs of functional but nice looking shoes for work at reasonable prices. So why I am not exactly sure when I gave my them my phone # (I think it might have been when I found the above mentioned heals while visiting with a friend) I am thankful for the b-day texts and glad they inspires me to visit Off Broadway at least once a year. read more

As a new customer, I experienced a frustrating online purchasing experience. I contacted the company via email the day before. I never received a follow-up response on how to address it so I called the customer support number the next morning. It was overall difficult and frustrating experience with processing and correcting shipping address. I was given incorrect information from telephone rep to change my order directly with fedex and not through OBS...Which made no sense. I called Fedex to inquire just from them to tell me it's the responsibility of the retailer to address it and change address. Now I have to call OBS shoes again. Now I'm frustrated. I call OBS back they tell me they can't help me or change my shipping address after waiting 20 mins on hold to receive negligent response. I asked to speak to a manager and no manager was available and would have to call me back. I was on the phone three hours just to not receive help. No manager followed up with me and my merchandise is floating around in the unknown. I still haven't received my goods. Worse online shopping experience. read more

I wanted to try these shoes from BOC my Sister has ordered some and I saw how cute& classy they were so I decided to order some for myself I ordered them and they arrived swiftly I ordered two pairs since they were buy one get one half off I had to return them due to them being too small I had to pay for them to be shipped back total of 16.00 I reordered them in the correct size They came very fast I was very upset when they arrived one pair were perfect the other pair was scuffed up , ripped, the glue was detaching from both the heels they were clearly worn they had wrinkles once I initially tried them on I will now have to pay for shipping again to return them I definitely will not be ordering online from them anymore when u call customer service u have to wait for long periods of time before anyone will pick up I have been holding for an hour. read more

My humble opinion: I was bored to tears. After browsing at about the 47th variation of the same damn pair of boots... I gave up. This place does have a large number of shoes- but just not that much variety. It might have been worth my while if I'd been going in for heels -and I did spy some cute ones, it seemed, out of the corner of my eye- but if you're looking for something unique, I wouldn't recommend. I really am excited that I've found one in the greater DC area. There are tons and tons of DSWs, but Off Broadway is close to my heart and I haven't come across that many of them. I think this store is the sole reason why I am obsessed with bargain shopping shoes. I love the deals, the styles, and of course the store in general. It originally started in Nashville, and going to the original location is where my fetish started when I was 12 years old. Nothing has changed. This store was great! Help! My two son's once sweet little things are now shopping mens sizes. The sneakers here at OB aren't exactly my favorites and my kids are a bit of a loss to find something fashionable enough in comparison to shopping at Dicks but if you're not too fussy and not needing the latest Nike Shox you are covered. Today, I was thrilled that "real" men's boots - not hiking/athletic - but hip men's casual/dress zip up the side boots where jumped upon by the kids ($100 :-0). I wasn't expecting that! (Love the boot look) The sneaker look has got to go guys of America! Good selection and I found some excellent brogue/wingtip boots for my 13 year old which he was sporting proudly ($59). I'll go back for the $100 ones myself. Once you go boots you never go back to shoes IMHO. Look for coupons and save. I've been shopping here years and there's always something to be had. I'm a shoes hoarder - love the things and the treasure hunt begins here. DSW use to do it for me but the prices have gone thru the roof my last visit. We walked in on a Friday morning looking for boots for my 10 year old. We found a great selection of boots but they didnt have her size. The store employee offered to see if they had them online and if so could have them shipped to us for free. We thought we where so lucky when they did and was told that they would be shipped for free. We order 2 pairs, I gave my shipping address to the employee, paid, and we were on our way. 2 weeks have gone by and when we check the tracking number it provides no updates. I decided to call the customer service number today and just spoke to one of the most rudest customer service employees I have dealt with in a long time. He was not helpful, very short, and did not provide much information. When I asked about a refund I was advised "He can't do that" So now we are left with no boots, I am out almost $100, and no way to figure out what happened. They say you get what you pay for. Think warehouse of shoes where you can sink tons of money! There's a range here - I've spent $15-70 on shoes, so it really depends on how much willpower and control you have at these types of places. I love Off Broadway. I love shoes. Off Broadway is an enormous warehouse just full of all kinds of shoes. Granted, some of them are slightly odd (is there really need in the world for more than 15 varieties of hot pink and purple stilleto sneakers?). But variety is the spice of life. It's harder and harder for me to find shoes--with upwards of 70 pairs, it's just difficult to find something i like and don't already have. But I never walk out of Off Broadway empty handed. I'm really satisfied with Off Broadway. After a frustrating run of unsuccessful shoe shopping (I'm not a frequent shopper) that included numerous department stores and the DSW near Bailey's Crossroads, I walked into Off Broadway and found exactly what I was looking for -- black ballet flats with a simple design. I found what I was looking for right away, within 10 minutes of being in the store. I have small feet (women's 5.5 - 6 depending on the brand) and it's hard to find shoes my style and size. I expected to find something at the DSW, but all they seem to carry are larger shoes. Some of the other reviewers on here speak of difficulty finding specific brand-name shoes here. This is a good point. If you have a very specific brand/type of shoe in mind, this may not be the store for you. I came in looking for simple black flats and found them. Brands and exact styles from store catalogs don't matter much to me -- that's the kind of shopper I am. Off Broadway is definitely worth a visit if you have a general idea of what you want and are looking for low-priced, quality shoes. read more

You get what you pay for here, maybe even a little less, all things considered. It's serve-yourself, so it's tough getting any help at all. I had trouble fitting my daughter, so I asked for assistance/advice from the staff, but all they did was hand me a Brannock device to measure my daughter's foot myself. I was on my own. In the end, after two visits, I figured it out and bought a pair of shoes that worked. The place also doesn't do a great job of managing their displays, as the price on the shelf was incorrect. I ordered 2 pair of shoes with the bogo sale, I only needed 1 pair. The pair I needed came, but were not the size I ordered. Trying to return them was not easy, there is nowhere on the website to contact them and actually get a response...so I had to pay $8 to ship the shoes back, noting that I would like to exchange for the size I ordered. I received a refund for the shoes, of course they were the half priced pair do I was refunded that. Not an apology for their error, and not refunding my shipping since it was their error. They have very different shoe types too. They also have a clearance in the back. They just about have every available brand I'm looking for. It's not crowded and small like Payless. I ordered online from this store two days ago, and i tried to track my order today but couldn't. I thought it was kind of sketchy, so I called for a refund on the shoes I ordered. The lady never asked why I wanted a refund, and all she sais was, "We can't give you a refund because the label has been created for your package." not even telling me whether its been shipped out already or not.No where in the return policy does it say I can't get a refund if the label is already created. So I ask to speak with the manger and the lady tells me the manager is busy with another customer, and so I said ill wait. Two seconds later the lady comes back and says the manger is busy she has to call me back, and here I am 6 hours later waiting for a call. I feel its very unprofessional to have your customers emotionally stressed about a product that has been ordered from your online store. Nothing for women's larger size shoes. There seems to be a glut of sizes 6 and 7, a few sizes 8 and 9, but hardly anything over that. Maybe that should tell the buyers that perhaps if they carried the larger sizes, they might sell more shoes. Unfortunately, this store has nothing for me. read more
