What I did not like was that in my bathroom after taking a hot shower there was a very perfect square in the center of my mirror that appeared each night after we showered. None of us did this and you can tell it was not done with a hand cause it is too perfect. See the pics.

The lobby is grande, the staff at the front desk was amazing when asking questions or dealing with packages being delivered. Room wise, I was happy. They had good pillows, a comfy bed, and a nice shower. I got a good night's sleep here which was great. Loved the bathroom amenities as well! I didn't get the sense of too much going on at this place though without driving somewhere. They had a few restaurants on site, but not enough variety to sustain someone for more than 2 days. I was disappointed with the service at the one restaurant, but other than that, everyone at the hotel was awesome! They do have a pool but it was cold and windy when I was there (I mean, it's Denver). It also seems far away from everything Denver, which is probably what they're going for, but a long ride from the airport and a long trip if you want to go downtown. Unless I was attending a conference or something here, I'd probably look at staying somewhere else. This place just isn't for me, I guess. I'm not familiar with Omni that much, but I may try another location based on my experience here.

In lieu of bonus points, I chose daily breakfast. I don't eat breakfast but my partner said it was amazing. My room was on the 9th floor on a corner. Could not have been more comfortable. Swimming pool and gym exceeded expectations. Great view of the mountains. My stay was so pleasant, I extended it by 3 days. I was in Denver for no particular reason, just a 8-day workation. The lobby was a fantastic spot to work. Although they did not have free coffee, 24/7, the clerk at the coffee kiosk gave me a free cup after they closed. Parking was free. Great location about 15 minutes outside of Boulder and about 30 minutes outside of downtown Denver. Fantastic indoor shopping mall right across the street. AMC multiplex too. Daily housekeeping only missed me once over the course of 8 days. On-site coin operated laundry with one machine down for the whole stay. That left one machine in the laundry room, but there was no competition for it. Only a buck 50 for wash and dry.

During slow times, however, they can be quite affordable. Here are a few specific notes. Lighting: My room had lights in the right places, and the bulbs were bright enough to read by. Shower: The "rain" style shower head was mounted fairly high and worked well. The manufacturer of the "Nourish" brand shampoo trumpets high-end, luxury products, but goes to great lengths to hide the ingredients; it turns out that the shampoo contains SLS, which many people find drying and rash-inducing. Security: Like most hotels, Drury Plaza is situated in a "transitional space" which invites ne'er-do-wells. The outside is ringed with good lighting and cameras. Inside, the staff is very alert. While I was at the buffet, a non-guest wandered in; it took less than 30 seconds for a manager to redirect the interloper to the door, and numerous staff members materialized and cheerfully greeted everyone in the area (presumably to make sure that everyone belonged). Food: The "Evening Kick-Back" is a full meal. They rotate between three buffet-style menus, but there are enough extras to mix-and-match a wide variety of meals. At the height of a flu outbreak, I saw a lady cough into her hand then handle half a dozen serving utensils...everyone following her picked up a nice dose of virus. No hand sanitizer was provided (which meets the local health code--I checked--but many other states require sanitizer stations at buffets).

First off, we attempted to check in around 3:30 and our room wasn't even ready. We were stuck waiting about 40 minutes in the lobby for our room. Secondly, the cleanliness was below average. The bathroom had hair clippings all over the floor and toilet. The bathroom counter had a fake eyelash next to the soap tray, and there was used floss on the floor under the sink. Lastly, the service at breakfast and the 5:30 kickback was absolutely atrocious. Most of the trays of food were EMPTY. Even at the beginning of the food service. I spent over 30 minutes waiting for the milk to be refilled during breakfast. And items were cold during kickback. Most of our time in the dining area was spent waiting for refills of food. This is was so disappointing and a huge waste of time and money. I will say this Drury Inn is conveniently located near some nice shopping and food. And our room was beautifully spacious. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning to this location.

Overall, it was a solid experience, though there are definitely signs that the property is starting to see its age. The highlights were definitely the amenities and the service. The staff were all very nice and helpful from check-in to check-out. I also made sure to check out the pool and fitness room, both of which were impressively clean and well-maintained. Since I have elite status with Marriott, I was able to get a comped breakfast that would have otherwise cost $16.50. I'm glad I did, the omelette was actually quite good and came with a side of potatoes and bacon. However, there were a few issues with the room itself that kept this from being a 5-star stay. The HVAC unit was extremely loud; it had a very noisy cycle that made it a bit difficult to sleep through the night. Additionally, the soundproofing between floors isn't the best. We were on the 2nd level and could clearly hear the people above us loudly walking around at 6:00 AM, which was pretty disruptive for a morning where we wanted to sleep in. It's still a great spot if you can get a good deal, but if you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a top-floor room.

They acknowledged me but continued walking toward us with their dog on a retractable leash. Their dog repeatedly pulled toward ours, and our Lab puppy slipped out of its collar and briefly sniffed their dog. There was no barking, growling, or biting. During the interaction, the man said, "I'm going to shoot your dog." When I asked why, he replied, "If your dog ever gets near my wife or my kid, I will shoot your dog." I understand that a loose dog can make someone uncomfortable, but I found it alarming that the immediate response was a threat to shoot my dog. I'm sharing my experience so other dog owners can be aware. Nothing against the Hotel
