Yelp says amazing! What went well? I'd say this was one of the most best hotel stays I've had in a long time. Check in was a breeze and the desk clerk was fantastic. In lieu of bonus points, I chose daily breakfast. I don't eat breakfast but my partner said it was amazing. My room was on the 9th floor on a corner. Could not have been more comfortable. Swimming pool and gym exceeded expectations. Great view of the mountains. My stay was so pleasant, I extended it by 3 days. I was in Denver for no particular reason, just a 8-day workation. The lobby was a fantastic spot to work. Although they did not have free coffee, 24/7, the clerk at the coffee kiosk gave me a free cup after they closed. Parking was free. Great location about 15 minutes outside of Boulder and about 30 minutes outside of downtown Denver. Fantastic indoor shopping mall right across the street. AMC multiplex too. Daily housekeeping only missed me once over the course of 8 days. On-site coin operated laundry with one machine down for the whole stay. That left one machine in the laundry room, but there was no competition for it. Only a buck 50 for wash and dry. read more

I stayed there on Monday July 13. It was a hot day, but not unusual for Denver in the summer. I have stayed in Marriott's all over the world but there was something off with this one. There was only 1 elevator working and that one was inconsistent. I arrived about 8.30 and went down to restaurant for dinner, but that was closed. There wasn't anyone at the bar for long period time. The bartender said that she was the only person there as a server and bartender. She said staff didn't show up because of the heat. The A/C in the bar area was not capable of cooling. She said it has always been that way. They closed the bar and food service @9.00 pm and guest were frustrated. Marriott's are owned and managed by different entities. This one is managed by HHM Hotels and the president is Naveen Kakarla. He needs to address these issues, particularly the lack of A/C capacity in the bar area. read more

This hotel located in a great spot within walking distance of shopping and restaurants -- and it was especially nice that I could drive about 15 minutes and get to Boulder too. My room was quite spacious, clean and had a great view of the mountains too. read more

Formal Corporate Investigation Pending (Marriott Case #873690885). ​As a Gold Elite member, this was the single worst stay I have ever had at a Marriott property. This was not just because the bed was horribly uncomfortable, or because I went to the front desk, asked for additional towels and a pillow, and never received them after the front desk agent explicitly said he placed the order. Those were just bad service; I could have let those go. ​My reason for why this was the single worst hotel experience comes down to a disturbing incident in the hotel bar and lounge area. One night after a very busy day, my family and I did not have it in us to go find a restaurant, so we decided to eat at the hotel. My wife went upstairs to freshen up, while my son and I approached the bartender and asked if we could order food in the bar/lounge area so we could watch the games. She politely said "sure," grabbed us a couple of seats, handed us menus, and took our beverage orders. ​Instead of retrieving our drinks at the bar, the server walked off in the opposite direction and was gone for a while. I assumed maybe she had to go get my son's juice or my bourbon. At least 15 minutes went by with no update, no drinks, and absolutely nothing. My wife came down to join us between the 15-to-20-minute mark and asked why we hadn't ordered anything yet. When I told her, she immediately said something was not right. ​Five minutes later, the exact same server was back behind the bar, taking orders from other patrons and filling them immediately. As we looked over, she went completely out of her way to avoid making eye contact with us. The situation became incredibly uncomfortable because my son and I did not match the physical appearance of the other patrons who were being served immediately. Her avoidance felt entirely deliberate. My son could sense something was wrong and asked why we didn't have anything to drink or eat yet. ​My wife (who does match the appearance of those other patrons) wanted to confront her and ask for the manager. I told her it would likely be the manager she walked off to gain approval from to treat us this way, and I'd rather leave than make a scene in front of our child. So we left. ​To be explicitly clear: we did not have on any offensive clothing, had not had a single alcoholic beverage that day, and do not use any drugs--legal or otherwise. There was absolutely no operational reason to deny us basic service unless you are somehow bothered by our existence, in which case I feel sorry for you. ​This experience crossed the line from poor customer service into deliberate exclusion. Marriott Corporate has been notified and a formal file is open, but public consumers need to know exactly what kind of environment this property tolerates. read more

The sheets weren't noteworthy (semi-soft, average quality) but they were clean & fresh. Our king mattress was also satisfactory in the 1BR. Reading lights in the headboard were a convenient surprise. BATH Interesting layouts here but the flow leaves much to be desired. Transitioning from wash room activities in the studio suite is clunky. It's better in the bedroom suite, but neither are optimal. The light switch locations are also forgettable. Still, it's a very functional & spacious bathroom with high cleaning standards. I discovered my favorite bathrobe here & couldn't be happier with this refresh from T-y group (presidential collection). The slippers were also very comfortable for being OSFA. TV & ENTERTAINMENT Team Samsung. 42" HD LCD TVs on swivel base with status quo Marriott set top box & universal remote. Orientation & location of the TV in studio suites is a pain point. They'd benefit from a premium mount here since the base is glued down, limiting its rotation. WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION The complimentary WiFi offering was mediocre. We ended up using hotspots a lot here; Verizon service was strong & consistent. --Nerd Stats-- 10-13 Mbps download 15-18 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 50 ms latency 77 ms jitter --Performance-- Video streaming - bad Online gaming - bad Video chatting - bad FOOD & DRINK DoorDash friendly, with a bar & restaurant onsite. Suc a beautiful hotel. Loved the lobby. Easy check in. No one here. We requested a suite facing mountains and got that. Nice suite rooms. Spacious clean and the most soft comfortable quiet bed. Great view. Sunset awesome with mountains in sight. Only con was A.C. was kinda loud esp when it stops n starts. It chokes and makes a loud sound lol plus the pull out didn't come with bedding. Had to call up for that and waited awhile for it. We called again and told them we needed it for the kids to sleep. They finally stopped by. Told them to drop it off by the door for no contact too. They did finally. It was a bit late into the night by now. But loved the Aveda shampoos and lotions. Was a very comfortable stay. Wished we stayed longer to enjoy the room, view and the hotel amenities. Pool is reserved slots up to 10 people and the gym is open 24hrs. Restaurant opened too and masks are required inside. Loved the location and hotel. Would want to stay here again if near Boulder. It is a quiet business district and we liked that. It was memorable. read more

Aidan was really pleasant and actually reprinted a room key when we misplaced ours. It is a very comfortable room they we received by the 4th floor-- beautiful lobby, clean and nice interior. The housekeeping was also super polite and I really enjoyed the view from our 4th floor. Came to check in at our normal times; we inquired upon checking in earlier at 1pm but through a third party app, they didn't give me a firm yes about checkin in earlier, so I stayed with the 4pm check in. Front desk staff didn't seem like they were happy with me coming at 4pm rather than 1pm-- though I requested, I didn't get a phone call. The check in was very unpleasant! front desk was downright making personal comments about my husband not covering my room costs, because i initially chose this place to get ready for my big wedding day. They were pushy on my ID and card and charged me an "Incident Fee," that was $100.00! (refundable) but still. No info on complimentary breakfast, they didn't mention a fun wedding package deal, even though it was on their website (i found it after check in), called their lobby on it and they weren't apologetic about anything. I specifically chose this place because I thought they'd take care of me and they made my experience truly awful. my bridesmaid joked with me that i wasn't a member of their Marriot program!! overall, not my most favorite stay. read more

The Renaissance is a beautiful hotel in a very hotel-dense area in Broomfield! My husband and I stayed here for one night on July 4th weekend as part of a wedding room block. The lobby is really grand and feels upscale; the room was spacious and super clean. Check-in and check-out was easy, and our interactions with the front desk were seamless. Also the price was outstanding! Pretty sure my Californian mind was blown away at paying under $150/night on a holiday weekend haha. Docking one star for a less-than-stellar experience with the bar. The wedding we attended had a casual afterparty in the Renaissance lobby bar around 10p-midnight. The one downer was that the bartender was CLEARLY not happy to be there, taking our orders looking like we were bothering him with each drink he was being forced to make. I definitely caught him sighing a few times. Despite that, we had a good time and the lobby/bar area was very accommodating for a group without feeling crowded. read more

I have only positive things to say about my recent stay at Renaissance. The rooms were very large providing a separate living area that could be closed off to the bedroom, mountain views and clean. I was able to spend some time in the fitness center as well which offered a variety of equipment, free weights, etc. The main level had a lively bar scene as I was there the night of the college football national championship. On a Monday night you couldn't find a seat. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but in this part of the country there is always beautiful scenery. read more

Stayed here for 3 night during a recent business trip. Decent experience, a bit lacking in a few areas. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but despite asking several times, they do not change the sheets on the bed. Also, the food catered by the hotel is not good at all, and one day we had mexican food for lunch and it tasted like it came from del taco. The meeting rooms are good, the projectors and screens are rather small so it was hard to see at the back of the room. The room echos when people are given presentations. The swimming pool closes early, and the fitness room is rather small. The machines are pretty new. The rates are rather high for this area, and that's with a corporate discount, we still paid close to $200/night. read more

Stayed here for one night on business. It is a very nice hotel. Rooms are very clean and the staff is very attentive. I took off one star to reward the rocket scientist that placed a motion activated thermostat in the outer room, and not in the bedroom. The temp went up during the night ruining an otherwise pleasant stay. This is no reflection on the staff or service, but it is something the crack Marriott technicians may want to noodle. read more

The staff here has been nothing but world class in accommodating our 'numerous' needs!! Each of the staff members has gone above and beyond to assist, and has done so with a smile. We had to change rooms three times due to first room secured as double beds, staff accommodated after only one night, and then moved to excellent disability accommodations. Plus, we booked through a third party - booking.com - but needed to stay an extra night and they honored the rate we secured in that site...! Awesome!! Although this is such a great place, I would have paid full rate for the extra night to avoid having to go to another hotel. This is our favorite place to stay in Broomfield / Denver area...three years in a row! The customer service, beautiful rooms, Mountain View's, amenities l, parking, and location are unmatched. I recommend staying here if you are visiting a Boulder student, have a business function, or even doing dinner at Flatz Restaurant. WORLD CLASS ! When I roll in here it can be early or late and no matter what the people here are the best. They are friendly and always make you feel welcome. There is an energy and vibe here of everyone having one goal and that is to make sure you have an excellent time here. The bar jumps with the same vibe and the service is excellent the bar tender is great and the conversation around the bar is lively. Breakfast is second to none and I love the selection. Having that Starbucks is a nice touch. Even though there is a full service Marriott up in Westminster (where most of my work is done) I will be back here again and again. Our stay was wondeful but the customer service that came after was horrible. We had paid for our room in advance and when we checked out they accidentally charged our card again. When I called to get refunded Austin F. was extremely short and rude and when I asked for a receipt showing the refund due to my bank not showing the refund he was very unprofessional and told me he was not able to do that since it was printed. Once I asked if he could email it to me he became even more rude. Beautiful hotel and wonderful stay but the customer service from Austin ruined the experience for me. read more

Really happy with our stay here. The room was a great size, the staff was incredible, the restaurant was great and the location isn't bad either. I took a star off because we were told late checkout wasn't an option, which is usually always an option if you pay a little more. Also because we had some issues with the shower in our room. We had to call a tech in to help with the hot water. Other than that, I really enjoyed it here. The front desk was so helpful when we asked about hiking. They helped with a special request I had. Saw the whole thing through and made sure there wasn't anything else I needed. The restaurant's biscuits and gravy were amazing and the pork chop dinner was to die for. Monday after a busy day I wanted to come back to the hotel and go in the pool but I came to find out that their pool is used for some sort of class but I decided to go to the front desk and inquire about when we could use the pool and the person basically tells me here is a breakfast voucher. The service at the hotel and the quality of the rooms was for the most part excellent. I've stayed here before when I didn't want to drive all the way back from Boulder, and I've quite enjoyed the hotel. However, if I were them, I would really re-consider the layout of the executive suite, as 80% of the space in my room was in almost complete darkness. (And if you're a guest, I don't recommend booking it.) Even if I wasn't trying to use this suite for a wedding (which makes makeup absolutely impossible to do in that light) -- I don't know how anyone could do anything in that "living room" space. There is zero natural light and just 2 dim lamps to light it. I'm glad I booked both the king suites on either side for my bridesmaids -- otherwise I'd definitely have to relocate. The bed facing the mountains and the TV in the footboard were pretty wonderful though. Also, when I booked the wedding block about a year ago, I was assured by on-site staff that the bar would stay open for us until as late as 2am as long as people were there to buy drinks. I was also given the same impression by emails back and forth with a coordinator. However, on the day of, when I had 15-20 guests arrive to the bar around 11:45pm, it was announced that it was last call and nothing could be done about it. To be honest, if I had known this would be the case, I would have at least extended my venue time, if not booked the wedding block at a hotel with a more accommodating bar. read more

I stayed here recently for three nights while attending a work event. My trip started on a negative note when my flight from Chicago got canceled due to bad weather, but the Flatiron staff was helpful and accommodating when I called to secure my room for late check-in. My colleague and I also appreciated the restaurant staff seating us just before closing, as we were starved after our long day of travel. The food was outstanding - we shared the sweet potato flatbread and pear salad, and both were beautifully presented and delicious. Service was fast and courteous. My room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable king-sized bed. I especially appreciated the small refrigerator to store leftovers and beverages. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are very cozy and welcoming, and I especially loved the fireplace with comfy seating on all four sides. It made me want to curl up with a good book and a drink, but alas, I had to work. : ( Also, the staff did a great job with the breakfast and lunch buffets for our group event. From the fluffy eggs and French toast to a lunchtime taco bar, the food was high-quality, fresh and tasty. As a bonus, there is a lovely mountain view from the front of the hotel. I'll update this as the stay goes but so far the ladies today at the front desk did not make a very good first impression. We asked if there were luggage carts available upon check-in to which one replied, "unfortunately, we don't have one right now". Fine, well when will one be available? "Other customers are using them right now so we don't know". Oh, is this a first come first serve basis? "Well until our bellman gets in at 2:30." The front desk staff were very nice and the rooms were comfortable; however, that was not enough to make up for the lack of service for the room. Upon arrival, we had plenty of towels, but only one wash cloth. That would not have been an issue had they serviced the room at any point during our stay. We asked several times over two days to have the room serviced, only wanting a couple of fresh towels, wash cloths and replacement coffee and for them to empty the trash cans. After asking twice, they did manage to leave us two trash bags, laying on the small sofa, but did not empty the trash cans, and two towels, but no wash cloths and no coffee. Finally, on the last day before our departure, after asking a third time, they finally dropped off coffee, by way of knocking on the door and handing us a bag with the coffee, paper cups, sugar and cream. For our next trip, we have family in the area, we will be staying across the street in the Marriott Residence Inn instead. read more

We stayed here in Sept 2012 and could not have been happier with: the location (a quick drive to delightful Boulder), our mountain view suite, the upscale and hip atmosphere of the lobby, bar and restaurant, the very comfortable beds, friendly staff, very reasonable pricing with tons of specials, etc. Although our suite seemed a bit smaller than the online photos, I loved being able to spread out in two separate rooms separated by French doors. I liked the odd but slightly edgy black and white wall paper in the bathroom of cornfields, barns, etc. We had a lovely but distant view of the Rocky Mountains. TIP: Jason's Deli right across the driveway had an amazing selection of inexpensive homemade soups - I had seafood gumbo which was better than any Cajun restaurant, for about $5.00. They encouraged us to go up to their salad bar and have all the mini-muffins (corn, molasses. etc) we wanted. Unfortunately we moved to a "historic" well-known downtown Denver hotel after this - what a shock and disappointment to see our tiny, unattractive room which cost twice as much money as The Renaissance. The best thing about this location is the staff. All very pleasant and helpful, with smiles and a great attitude. Especially our housekeeper during our 2 day stay - she was exceptionally sweet and attentive. The lobby, food, bar and design rooms is nice and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. However the 2 stars is due to: - Cheap toilet paper (somewhat surprised to this crap in a Marriott. - Noticeable cigarette burn in carpet. - received advance email asking if wanted extra blankets or pillows- we said yes, but didn't get them. - Bath towels were Hampton Inn quality. - TV and controller were old and changing channels takes forever. - Bad lighting in bathroom...barely enough to read. This hotel is awesome. The staff is well trained and ultra friendly, and helpful in all ways and truly made us feel at home. Colleen M at the front desk for us checked in, told us about some great local spots for food and drinks, and made sure to set us up with a great view from our room. The hotel is spacious but very comfortable, has some great common spaces to hang out in and a great bar with excellent service. There is a Starbucks in the lobby which wins instant points for me, and the breakfast buffet is one of the most expansive i have ever seen. They even have a counter to order fresh french toast and custom omelettes as part of their buffet. You will not be left wanting when it comes to food, even the room service menu is diverse and delish. If you're in the area, definitely make sure you book your room here. Close to the city, close to nature, a comfortable hideaway with the option to do everything or nothing comfortably. I don't want this vacation to end for many reasons, but especially to leave this super luxe bed and the mountain view! read more
