Graduation weekend in Raleigh but we made our reservations few months ago. Room with two queen beds, fourth floor. Place was clean in the lobby and we checked right in. One key didn't work so that was a minor irritation. Room was clean and comfortable. Beds were firm and had 4 pillows. Beds have a light blanket so if you are cold natured, you may have to get more blankets. Free breakfast is what you would expect it to be. Cereal, toast, waffles, yogurt, juices, fruit, eggs and link sausage. Eggs were barely passable. Wonder if they were powdered? They weren't very good. Sausage was what you'd expect. Light on the flavor. But it filled the empty spot. Early check out due to graduation ceremony. Nobody at the front desk when We checked out. Kinda annoying so we left our keys in the bin. Three stars for decent accommodations. The breakfast, although technically free, doesn't measure up. read more

This is the worst Choice Hotels franchise I have ever stayed at, and I've been in the hotel business since 1995. Breakfast is low-quality and management appears to have taken a conscious decision to stop putting it out an hour before close unless guests actively ask for it. The front desk makes a conscious decision not to replenish what is already a paltry spread until someone asks for an item that may or may not be out - an hour before breakfast ends. The wifi is also awful and totally unreliable - you can't do anything online. After checkin, we found our rooms directly across from the elevator. Not only was this unseemingly noisy, but it also started literally raining in our room our first night. Credit to the manager, Mr. Naik, for quickly moving us to another room the following morning. However, his hotel is not up to any known standard that Choice Hotels sets forth. What an incredible disappointment and miserable stay at a shoddy location. read more

Stayed here this past weekend. Not notified that pool was closed for "maintenance". One worker present. No sign on pool and not locked so some people were swimming in it and then would be told to get out. Hairs in the bed sheets, called downstairs several times and no answer. TV was out. Nothing done. Likely the worst hotel I've ever been to. Booked a king suite with a sofa bed. The room didn't have the bedding for the sofa bed. Went down to the front desk, had to wake up the guy sleeping on the ground behind the desk. Was told they ran out of bedding and pillows. I explained I paid for a room with a sofa bed but I can't use it. He just smiled and repeated the same thing. Super wonderful experience. I took a group of 30 kids to compete in a cross country meet in Cary. The hotel was so helpful. Check in was a breeze. I have taken kids to different places for the past 2 decades, and sometimes it has taken staff an hour and a half to give us the room cards to check in. The folks at Comfort Suites got us checked into the hotel in 5 minutes. Fantastic service. Breakfast was good and they let us use the breakfast area to feed the kids lunch and supper as well. In most hotels, they try to get you to rent the breakfast area to serve the kids. Which is an insane policy as if we had enough money to rent the room we would not be feeding the kids to begin with. So in years past we had to eat in parks etc. Not here at Comfort Suites. These folks had such a servants heart. Front desk staff always had a smile on their faces and were so cheerful. I have been at places where the hotel staff acted as if they had just come back from a funeral. But these folks were so gracious. The rooms were clean. The layout of my room had a sleeping and a couch area. Extremely appealing architecturally. When we took the kids to the pool, the staff anticipated our needs and totally unsolicited brought 30 towels for the kids. The place was also the most affordable of the alternatives we investigated. If I am ever back in Cary, I will stay here at the Comfort Suites. The place is also conveniently located next to a lake, bowling, restaurants, and numerous other activities. Such a great value and a positive experience. Whether it is just you traveling alone or a group of 30 kids, I recommend this establishment. This hotel needs an overhaul. It looks and smells old. The gym is in a basement room which was hot and stuffy with no way to turn on the A/C. The guy at the front desk is new and didn't know where the key was to unlock the A/C controls. The King Suite room we reserved is small, and smells of stale cigarette smoke. Only one elevator is working the other out of order. We had to request a pillow and blanket for the pullout sofa and no one was able to bring it up to us, we had to go down ourselves. At least the A/C in our room works well and the bathroom is large and clean. After a 9 hour car trip I was very disappointed upon entering this hotel and won't return. read more

The Comfort Suites provided a quite comfortable room with great beds, plenty of room, and a couch. It was located close to shopping and restaurants. We noticed, too, that it was close to a hospital which would be helpful for those with long-term medical needs. As with all hotels in this time of Covid, there was no daily housekeeping but the staff was amenable to providing extra supplies such as soap or shampoo and would change the sheets and towels if asked. The breakfast was basic, again because of Covid, but at least it was available. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay here again. I've stayed in better, I've stayed in a lot worse. This Comfort Suites was recommended by my customer, who has a negotiated price that was about 25% less than the walk-up or travel site prices. A decent sized room that was laid out as one would expect. The bed was a little firm but I found it comfortable. Fold-out sofa, large TV, coffee maker, microwave, mini-refrigerator. The work desk and chair were comfortable and it was nice to have the power outlet in the right spot. Decent hot breakfast in the mornings included scrambled eggs, either sausages or bacon depending on the day, potatoes, hard boiled eggs, waffle maker, cereals, fruit, juice and yogurt. The usual. It was good. In the evening, a manager's reception with samplings from one of the local restaurants. The two times I got back to the hotel in time to see it in action, there were trays of salad, baked ziti, garlic knots and some sort of dip with chips. And booze. The hotel definitely needs better hallway and window noise insulation. It's right next to the highway, so you can still hear the traffic noises from nearby. But with that said, you can't beat the price especially in this neighborhood. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I would give it a negative star if I could. Reserved a month in advance. Visiting family for Christmas and this place ruin my vacation. Dirty rugs, soiled mattresses. The front desk showed me four rooms and they were all disgusting. Urine stains on the mattresses and one of them had blood. I took videos of each room. ( see still images below.) after an hour of going back and forth I finally gave up place my family back in the car and Thankfully I was able to book at the Hilton last minute. The audacity of this place they charged me for one night when i left immediately after all the hassle. I contacted corporate and tried to make me feel better by offering bonus points. I explained they couldn't offer me enough points to ever stayed in this or any other comfort Inn ever again. I'm waiting on the refund. Please stay away and save yourself the hassle and disappointment. This place is not suitable for adults needless to say a child. read more

The overall customer service experience was absolutely first class all the way. Thanks to Amelia, she literally was superwoman. I physically saw her single-handed help an elderly couple with a check-in. Greet every customer that walked in as well as checking everyone in with a smile on her face. She also handled numerous calls at the front desk and for her final act of greatness. I saw her downstairs cleaning up a spill on the carpet. This was all within 30 min of our visit. I started to wonder if she was the only one working. Not only that she had the most contagious smile. If you ever read this review, Amelia, "Thank You, you really went above and beyond". A+ As for the outer appearance of the hotel, it was nice and looked really clean. The inside of the lobby was also clean and inviting. As for the room, I can only judge the pet-friendly area which was downstairs. Not a huge disappointment but I feel this could have been spruced up a little bit better. If you have to pay an additional $50.00 for a pet fee then I would expect some additional pet amenities on this floor. Such as an exit to take my pet outside with a pet area, and pet clean-up bags. Maybe tile floors in the room because the carpet felt wet on the feet. It definitely was damp because when I was putting items in the fridge. I could see water damage all along the bottom of the fridge and the wall by the bathroom. Room 110, feel free to check it out. I also noticed in the bathroom there was rust on the ceiling. Other than that the bathroom was clean. The toilet all through it did flush might need to be looked at. The sleeping area was comfortable and the sheets and pillows looked clean. Overall this place is a solid 2 if traveling with pets, maybe a 3 if I didn't have to pay an extra 50.00 for literally nothing. I have never had such a bad experience with the people behind a desk at any hotel!! The evening make manager is great but the daytime crew and some of the new hires are horrible!! -Wonderful indoor pool is a big hole I went downstairs Around 3 AM after work to get a snack That's a little over priced snack center. My card was not accepted with the machine and I came up short of the six dollars and change in my pocket so I told her it was no big deal and went to bed without .The next day the morning crew came in and demanded I pay The five or six dollars for the snacks That my card couldn't be charged for. I Explain to her what happened And she said well I have to pay it because it's coming up as negative on her side are you kidding me? . Also breakfast with bread and no toaster or ant means to warm it up..The water container at the front of the building had the same lemons in it for two weeks... I stayed there with a dog and paid my $50 and paid every week ahead of time. I did my own vacuuming it up upkeep because of the Covid issues.I was there for sometime and after about 2-3 weeks they understandable asked to get into my room about 9 o'clock in the morning. my sleeping time. I asked her if she could make a time with me so that I could get out with my dog Before five or even the next morning when I had planned for it,And instead she got all huffy and told me to hold on. Filthy and run down is the best description for the hotel. This has nothing to do with COVID. I had to actually try to wipe the ceiling to see if it was dirt or mold. Luckily just dirt. While I was informed that house keeping was at minimum due to COVID the least that could have been done was to clean up trash at the lobby entrance and cleanup garbage in the halllways. read more

They report coffee and juice 24 hours a day- not true...the juice machine has been "broken" for months. Spent 4 nights here while attending a course at Siemens Medical (expenses paid). Nonetheless, a strong 3.5 stars rounded up. Got a two queen bed suite all to myself. The first night, I had a horrible night's rest - apart from jet lag, the AC/Heating unit was squeaky... it sounded like a large gerbil running his wheel, and when I turned it off, the room was too cold. Unfortunately no thermostat, just the window AC/Heating unit turned to off, low, or high. The beds are cozy enough, but the pillows are super soft, fluffed ones (bad for a side sleeper like me). There's a couch and coffee table randomly between the beds and bathroom (to make it a "suite") - but the TV is centered towards the beds. A fridge and microwave is probably convenient if you're staying long term and want to eat in. The bathroom is fairly standard for a hotel at this price range. Really just a decent place to sleep. What really made the stay stand out is the service and the other extras that place it above a hotel at this price range: - FREE WI-FI THROUGHOUT! that actually worked well (few 4-5 stars hotels offer this!) - A little welcome snack pack - Complimentary daily breakfast 6-9am (banana, apples, 3 grain cereals, coffee, juice, fruit cups, bagels, 2 waffle stations, oatmeal, grits, eggs, potatoes, yogurt...) - Complimentary happy hour 5:30-7pm with beers, house wines, cheese cubes, wings, cookies. - Tiny gym with 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and a bike with a TV, towels, yoga mat, and water. - Hotel shuttle that would transport within 5 miles (ie. to local restaurants, Walmart, or Whole Foods down the street). We opted to stay here because it took pets and was close to friends. The employees were nice and helpful. When we got to our room we were dismayed at the terrible state it was in. There was water damage on the ceiling, the cabinet that held the fridge was falling apart and the ceiling above the shower was rusted. Our TV did not work and we were simply to tired to call down to ask them to fix it but it would have been nice to have had a TV to watch. With all the hotels I. This is what I expect from Comfort Suites (not what we got at our last stay at the one in Huntington Beach, CA.) This is a top notch property, great rooms for a great price, with the little extras that make it all worthwhile. The breakfast each morning were very good, with quite a wide variety of offerings. The pool and jacuzzi were indoor and well kept, as was the hotel, which has some of the nicest staff we have experienced in our travels. You simply can not beat the quality of this hotel in Cary for the price point you pay. It is centrally located to a lot of great shopping and eatting (see my review for Lucky 32 which is across Tryon Rd. from the hotel) An excellent place to stay, very relaxing and down home feeling. read more

NEVER AGAIN, Booked the room thru Kayak/Expedia they supposedly gave me a deal for 3 nights total $255. That would be around $76 plus tax per night. No problem so far.. i prepaid online. Then once i got home i checked my bank online and i realized that the Hotel ALSO charged my debit card for $204. i right away called kayak they said it was the hotels issue and to call them. Then, the hotel couldn't explain the mistake but said they would give me a refund for the $204 and Im still waiting for it. Could never get a hold of the Hotel Manager Tony Gomez. Booked this hotel because it was advertised to have a indoor heated pool. We drove way out of our way to stay here as I wanted my kids to be able to swim. Very frustrated the pool was very cold-ice cold. Went to use the hot tub and there was literally scum in it and floating. Pretty gross. The room was clean so that was good until there were kids running up and down the halls screaming and slamming doors all night until 4am. I did call the front desk about it and the guy that answered on the night shift said he wasn't going to knock on every single persons door to figure out who it was-- where I replied it should be pretty obvious as they aren't in their rooms-- he said he might come up after he was done checking people in (I called him at 11pm). So I guess he was checking people in all night. The night peep hole was dirty with something someone put over it so I couldn't see out and I was crossing my fingers my 1 year old wasn't going to get woken by the screaming and door slamming. I'm typically not a negative reviewer but this upsets me that I spent money at this place. read more

I have stayed here before and just bought a night here for a couple in town on their anniversary. I chose this property because the rooms are nice, but also that they had an indoor pool and hot tub. My guests advised me that the hot tub was not working and it had not been working nor did they know when it would be fixed . . . Very disappointing as I wanted their stay to be extra special . . The elevator was too slow. I took the stairs every time I had to leave or get to my room. They were doing construction in the lobby at night and the workers set off the fire alarm at 12:30 am. The dust from the Sheetrock was everywhere. I was also double charged for my stay because I booked the room through kayak. I don't know how this hotel has 4 stars on google, but my experience and others I witnessed the day I was there does not reflect 4 star service or rooms. We booked a king suite pet friendly room for one night. Our room was on the first floor, but the 1st floor was not the level the lobby is on. My girlfriend and I called it the dungeon. It had a CERTAIN TYPE OF SMELL, not a pleasant one. Our room had the A/C running , but it wasn't cooling anything. We thought we would give it time and when we get back it will be fine. We returned late that night, but everything wasn't fine. Because this was our first time in the room and not rushing back out we started to notice things. Everything was damp to the touch. there was even MOLD on the bottom of the window curtain. STAINS on the ottoman, stains on the couch, hair on the couch....Like how do you not see this and still put people in this room. We tried to find another hotel but either it was booked or because of the timing we couldn't check in until the next day. We let management know at check out. Shimp Naik (Manager/Director of Sales) immediate response was why didn't we ask for another room. Not we apologize for the inconvenience or anything remotely close. We booked through Chase Travel and he immediately let me know he couldn't do anything because of that, but offered us Choice Points. I don't frequent choice properties so that really doesn't help. I called my chase credit card support to put in a complaint. They asked for a refund on my behalf and they let me know the Comfort Suite Regency declined my offer for a refund.....STAY CLEAR FROM THIS JOINT if you can help it. I wish I could attach the pictures I have to this post. I rather have my money back. read more

Great staff. Not a bad FREE breakfast. Also they have a guest get together every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday that has free beer and wine. Come on you can't beat that. Love the fact our dog could come with us. First night we were put in a room with a broken a/c and 2 double beds.. We were having a hard time sleeping, my infant daughter cried all night because she was too hot. They said we could've moved that night to another room, but we had got in late and had unpacked everything already. Next day Git the king bed in the room with working a/c score. Much happier now. They should've know a/c was broken BEFORE putting us in there. Indoor pool looks good, went in and water felt cold.. I'll have to check it out before we leave. Like Heather, I too stayed here for a Siemens course and I thought everything was great. My only beef was that there was no launderette in house but there was one 3.3 miles away. SIEMENS wouldn't pay for luggage. I ended up with two days worth of clothes for a 1 week stay. I didn't pay either, so the deal was quite good. Service and little lagniappes were great. read more

Drove down from New Jersey to spend the weekend with my nieces at this hotel which always had a fond place in our hearts. One of our favorite memories was swimming in the pool and hanging out in the jacuzzi-- little did we know, the jacuzzi was filled in permanently and the pool was littered with broken glass, trash, and one of the pool lights was hanging by a wire in the water. Very dangerous and unacceptable. When I brought my complaint to the front desk they tried to avert blame from themselves and refused to offer any monetary compensation for our inconveniences. The breakfast is great, but after this experience, I don't think we'll be coming back. The exterior of this place may have been updated, but it's management and organization has changed for the worse. read more

terrible stay. charge for our small dog (12lbs, well trained) is more than all other equivalent hotels in the area. pool is closed and we were not informed. toilet backed up on first use and to "accomodate" us the clerk loaned me a plunger. she refused any credit on the the bill. just said there's no staff available to fix it. said she isn't trained in fixing toilets. told her i didn't go to plumbing school either and i am the one paying to stay here. so seems fixing it shouldn't fall on me. i'm guessing it's no coincidence that there's a dehumidifier in the hall. the toilet noise backs up through the sink and shower. i don't think this is a solitary incident. is that why the pool is closed too?? clerk eventually walked away from me after placing the plunger a socially-distanced 6 feet away from me. how freaking rude!!! we're returning to the area the end of the month and i have now booked that visit at Best Western. we come here sevrral times a year. will not be staying here. read more

We got to spend 5 days here after 100 gallons of water poured down from our attic and pretty much wrecked our house. Fun times. We paid way too much for the first two nights for a room on the 1st floor that felt like a dungeon that you couldn't breath in. Finally we realized it was because we were near an indoor pool and the humidity was causing us or sleepless nights. (We were in extreme stress, so maybe not thinking too quickly in figuring this out). Booked the last 3 nights directly with hotel and got a much better rate. After we moved up to the 4th floor with sunlight and air we could breath, we were much happier. Breakfast was good. The munchkin especially enjoyed the cinnamon rolls, but we had to take them to the room to heat because the kitchen didn't have a microwave and no way could she eat them cold (insert dramatic 7 year old sigh). We actually were able to eat dinner off the evening managers happy hour a couple of times( Danny's BBB one night, Sweet tomatoes salad and baked potato bar another with yummy cookies). We hope we never have to stay here again since we have a home we kind of enjoy a few miles away, but if the repair work in our home gets too much, we will stay here again, just not in the dungeon on the 1st floor. Day time staff was friendly and quick to take care of things, night time guy wasn't the best. read more

I stayed at this Comfort Suites for 10 nights during a month-long business trip to Cary, and had a very pleasant experience. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite due to the length of my stay, and found the size of the hotel room really spacious and homey. I really appreciated the 24-hour fitness center and the indoor pool. The hot breakfast was good and I liked the selection. I had no issues throughout my stay. Only issues would be the 11am checkout time being too early for my liking, and the TV kept switching aspect ratios every 30 seconds. I had stayed at the Hampton Inn next door for several weeks earlier and was disappointed, I was much more impressed by this hotel! read more

My family stayed here for our daughter's birthday, the first room the kids had, the fold out sofa was broken, we had to put cushions under it to keep my 9 year old nephew from falling through. As he went to lay down he said it smelled of urine, when we took the sheet off there was a huge stain on the bed. The person working the desk was nice and moved us to another room. BUT, when we woke up the next morning, we found bed bugs, we even brought one down to the desk. The person working told us that we would have one of our 2 rooms comped, but then he was told he couldn't do that. The manager was demeaning and rude, and told us because the incident was put on social media he wouldn't give us anything. Now we have to go home. Wash everything we can, throw out new purchases and explains to my child that her birthday wasn't as awesome as she wanted because the hotel has a terrible manager. The hot tub was drained and pulled apart with thick green algae crusted to the bottom. Also, the breakfast bar's extremely low, 83.5....nasty all around. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anyone, unless bed bugs and bubble guys are wanted. read more
