Worst front desk people. EVER. No rush, no hurry. People literally SCREAMING drunk in the hallways at 11pm. We called FOUR times. On the third time someone actually walked upstairs to knock on the door. Printer in business center ran out of ink after printing 3 pages...and they have no replacements. Had a horrific time at a choice hotel, a Comfort Suites in Roswell NM. Even through the state mandatory mask order was posted on one door, and the official "covid safe/Covid trained" designation was on the other, no one behind the desk was wearing a mask,nor a single housekeeper or maintenance worker. Elevator doors opened revealing a bunch of maskless young dudes- as if I'm going get on with these characters. In fact not a single guest wore a mask. Complained to management- got a call back: "we're not the police." So then who is responsible for keeping guests safe? We cut our trip short and left the next morning. Incidentally, Chaves county has the highest case counts per capita- I wonder why. read more

An average hotel with below average booking management. Upon arrival, clerk tried to get us to accept a change to the reservation that I had made two months prior to our arrival, because "they were out of that room type." She set her phone down just long enough to offer a free DOWNGRADE to include a queen and a sofa bed instead of the reserved "real queen beds" for the first night, with the OPPORTUNITY to change rooms for our second night. Obviously not ideal, I asked they try to provide two real beds per the reservation. Clerk called someone, and we ended up with two full beds instead of two queens, all for the double queen rate ie still a downgrade, but not as bad. Not sure of the back story, but annoying. read more

Just recently stayed here for over a week. Rooms were very clean when we first arrived and the desk staff were very friendly. We arrived in a Saturday night and it was pretty loud as there was a birthday party going on. But nothing that could be heard from my room on the third floor. Breakfast was very good and a decent selection. But one of the two woman who worked in the morning was very rude. A face you'd like to slap. Never smiling or talking except in Spanish one morning and I'm Sure it was smack on us because we showed up at 6:58 and it opened at 7:00. The house keeping were very friendly and attentive to my needs although if you happen to work nightshift and have to sleep during the day like we did you'll find them very loud. I'm sure they were screaming from one room to the next. All in all a great hotel. Only reason for 4 stars was the breakfast ladies attitude. Also they gave me a free run to roswell airport at short notice on their shuttle. Great service read more

The rooms were beautiful. We only stayed here one night but would have loved to stay more . We had a problem with the pull out couch mattress and the staff was very kind and quick to switch it out for a new mattress . Beds were pretty comfortable and we were greatly surprised to see a rain shower head in the shower . The breakfast was good . We would stay here again and highly recommend it . read more

Really can't go wrong with the Comfort Suites brand. This is one of the better ones I've stayed in, with a fully glass partition instead of cheap particle board, and a spacious room with a King-sized bed. Refrigerator, safe, microwave, and well-maintained furnishings. Fixtures are probably above average for Comfort Suites with a rainfall shower head and Kohler/Delta faucets. Breakfast options are usual for this brand, with hot and cold options. Probably not the spread that you'd get at a Marriott or a Hilton, but adequate for my purposes. The hotel lobby and common areas are clean, obviously cleaned regularly. The staff is friendly and attentive, and gave me my choice of room - overlooking the covered entrance way to the hotel. The only drawback for this room on the second floor was the view. The covered entrance is the roost for many dozens of pigeons, and so there was an abundance of poop, feathers, birds and a couple of mangled pigeon carcasses on the ledge immediately outside of my window. So needless to say, the curtains remained drawn. Management may not be aware of this since it is an area that a lot of eyes don't really fall, but cleaning this area up would go far to bring the view in congruence with the rest of the hotel. read more

Pleasantly surprised for the price point. Clean. Friendly. Safe. Standard fare for breakfast but plenty of it. Free wi-fi. I thought the pool was on the dirty side but kiddo didn't care. Beds were comfortable and layout was spacious enough to hold all the road trip stuff and still have room to live. Good location and easy checkin/checkout. Would recommend for families. read more

This hotel appears nice but is run down. Management clearly does not care for hotel standards. We couldn't figure out why there was a horrible smell in our back corner room. We noticed many Farrell cats living i. The back of the hotel. After a morning run we saw a dead rotting g cat next to the ac unit on the ground floor - discussing. Hence the smell. Also the hotel has water fountains at the front no e are working - rather they are full of slime and stink - do t stay here .... read more

My friend just checked in to this location. She reports having discovered Bed Bugs in her room. When she brought this to the Manager attention, the Manager told her to leave the Hotel. I really hope that this is just a misunderstanding and the the Operators of Comfort Suites will look into this. Right now I cannot recommend this chain to anyone I know. read more

They're trying a little to hard however it's a nice concept. 99 bux for 2 flat screens in the room, 4 cat5 plug ins (only one worked), modern king sized deluxe bath, comfy bed, couch, chair, desk, video picture frame, etc. Very modern and almost like it was a concept they were trying every idea they had. Fountain out front, fountain in the pool. Just a tad overboard. read more

Walked in and nobody at counter to check us in. Stood there for about five minutes, gentlemen came up to counter checked maintenance log book and left. Complementary breakfast was lacking compared to Comfort Suites in Carlsbad. They hardly had anything out. Room was decently clean, except the sink drain had an awful smell coming from it. Almost all the furniture in our room was falling apart. Also, there was a resort fee of $5.00 charged on our card that they told was for recycling. Didn't see a recycling bin anywhere in the hotel. Needless to say, we will not be staying there again. read more

I found this place on the choice hotels web site and it sounded good. Well, that was an understatement. This hotel does a great job with everything and it is a budget place. First, our king suite had a Jacuzzi in the room which we enjoyed. Second the room was clean, well equipped (two TVs) and had a quiet A/C (a huge plus). Finally the breakfast was adequate but the staff was super. The office style high-back chair was broken and after we reported it, one of the staff was there with a replacement within an hour. Great place if you happen to be in Roswell. Oh, they called me after I checked out asking me how our stay went. Needless to say, I was effusive in my praise of the hotel and staff. I know you will not do better in Roswell. read more

First off, this is an older hotel. Attempts have been made to "update" by changing bathroom fixtures. It has resulted in a mish-mash of old and new. Most important advice for anyone who plans to stay here. DO NOT TAKE A ROOM ON THE 3RD/TOP FLOOR!! We discovered they turn OFF the a/c when room vacant! It's 105 degrees outside!!! Room was unbearably hot, sat in lobby for an hour, room not any cooler. Gave us a room on the first floor, great a/c, but! No remote for tv in that room. The front desk girl was great and took care of us promptly and without any hassles, it's just a shame she had to deal with these issues. Also, and this appears to be a Roswell issue on the whole, the flies are aggressive in the lobby/breakfast areas. Not in the rooms though. Will pass this place up next time. read more

I just spent 4 nights here and I recommend that you keep on driving...air conditioner did not work, cleaning staff never left shampoo or soap, the rooms were not vacuumed and the shower heads were so full of hard water deposits that the water barely came out. Front desk staff were rude to my co-workers and I totally suggest staying somewhere else. read more

This place shouldn't even get a 1-star rating, but that's as low as the system allows. In-room phones (2) that don't work; no housekeeping; intermittent (when it's there at all) Internet service; and front desk people who put you on interminable hold. (Really? You have THAT MUCH going on at 11:00 p.m.+ that answering a 5-second question requires a 10-minute wait?). Add all that to a staff that doesn't care a whit about their guests' experience, and you've got Roswell's badly-misnamed "Comfort Suites." I've stayed in far better quality facilities for less than half the price. If you need lodging in Roswell, look elsewhere before you even think about dropping a dime on this place. Filthy. The hallways are dirty and the rooms are dirtier. I tried two different rooms before checking out and going across the street. The first room had crumbs under the couch and around the edges of all furniture. Dust was very thick along the walls, behind furniture, in corners. The second room had hair in the shower, hair on the sheets, and one of the beds looked as though the sheets had not been changed. read more

My first time in Roswell New Mexico and I was a bit annoyed when I first got here because ever hotel we went too was booked and the receptionist were rude, but then we came here and I was extremely surprised. We were very happy with the Comfort Suites in Roswell. It was $30 cheaper than any other hotel around it. We were worried about what it might be like inside. We were delighted when we got there because the hotel looked brand new! Our room was big, clean, and beautifully decorated. We were surprised and delighted to find that our room had a in-room jacuzzi tub that we were not expecting. The indoor pool was clean and nice. Breakfast was good with waffles, biscuits, sausage, and gravy. read more

Super friendly front desk, rooms were very well kept. However they can workout on actually getting it deeper cleaned (the tub, floor and chairs). Beds were made but not very tucked in well. New hotel in Roswell, opened July 2010. Queen suites have two flat screen TVs, free wifi, in-room refrigerator and a safe. Hotel includes In-door pool and spa. Rooms are large, comfortable and extremely clean. One of the few hotels in Roswell that does not allow any pets in the room-great for people with pet allergies. This is literally the worst run hotel I have ever stayed in! Stayed over the holidays from 12/20-12/25, woke up on the third day of our stay (12/23) to no hot water (cold water coming from the tap smelled like garbage). Asked about the situation and was told there was "nothing we can do." Woke up on the fourth day of our stay, (12/24) to no water at all (same answer from the front desk). Then the kicker - on Christmas morning we again woke up to no water - that's right - no water on Christmas morning! Asked front desk "professional" to call the management - was told that she could not call the manager because "she didn't want to ruin his holiday." Yes, you read that right! Then to top it all off, they graciously gave us about $50.00 off of our over $400.00 bill and then never applied the refund!! So have been dealing with that since we returned. You have been warned. Terrible management and a collective IQ of about 100 for all those who work there - enjoy Roswell somewhere else - you will thank me!! PS - gave 1 star because it made me pick - would've given 0 stars if an option. read more

This is by far the nicest hotel in town. People are giving it bad reviews and obviously confusing it wit the comfort inn...this is COMFORT SUITES! All suite hotel. Huge tv's marble and granite everything, huge bathrooms, every employee speaks to you and they are very pleasant! I would definitely stay here and I am a hotel snob! read more

If we ever need to stop in Roswell again... this is our place. GREAT customer service and very clean. The beds were comfortable and we got a great price through hotels.com. Didn't use the pool, or even go to the pool as we got in late and left pretty early, but the continental breakfast was stocked with a variety of good food. Tired hotel - Under equipped - Stupid clerk First thing we noticed was there was only one valet cart and no elevator. Since the rooms are not drive-up we had to carry our bags from our motorcycles to & from the room. We ask for a downstairs room but had to wait 35 minutes for it. When we finally got settled in our room I immediately noticed the lock on the large downstairs sliding glass window had a broken latch as in NO LOCK AT ALL ! Not liking this I notified the front desk clerk lady who brought a broken plastic curtain rod and she tried to wedge it into place but it was too long. When I tested it because it looked hokey, the damn thing sprung out like an arrow and hit my wrist leaving a throbbing red Hematoma 1/2" tall. I marched down to the desk clerk (who'd set the booby trap) all she could say was " I wish you wouldn't have messed with it" Ten minutes after the injury, the nice maintenance fellow showed up with a replacement lock, which he installed. Did I mention my wife & I as well as the group we were with were on motorcycles ? Well we were and we parked our bikes in designated parking spaces out front. It seemed like a safe place for the night. Next morning the group had breakfast and began taking things out to their bikes. I was happy I had everything organized, Showered & shaved early so I was confident we wouldn't have any problems making the ride on to Santa Fe with the group. Well when I carried my first load out to the bikes I could not believe my eyes. I knew immediately that the hotel sprinklers massacred our clean black Harley's with water spots. Everywhere ! over under around & thru. The frames, motors, gauges you name it. By now the spots had dried into ugly hard to remove residue from the "hard" water, translated this means hours of clean up. True to my character I had to go back to the front desk to complain. The very nice hotel mgr was on duty. She was so understanding and told me the staff was told to warn guests of the sprinkler problem and that her black painted car even got ruined. She gave me $50 off the night stay for my wrist injury and oh yes, we missed riding out with our group. read more

Hotel rooms are nice BUT- they lost our hotels.com reservation (I had the confirmation # and everything) so we had to book the room straight from the hotel and cancel the hotels.com one so we would not be double charged- thankfully there was 1 left. Then they gave us a key and room # for a room that already had people in it. Imagine how awkward it was opening a room that had people in it. We went to the front desk where we were immediately handed another key for another room and a quick apology since she was on the phone already (probably with the lady we intruded on) but not any $ off our price. Maybe this was just a one-time mistake but I was mortified. read more

Very spacious, modern, clean rooms with sitting area, microwave, fridge, and desk area. Nice bathroom and comfy beds. The only negative is the TV remote is not one of those easy to clean ones for sanitation purposes. Great deal overall! read more

Went to breakfast at 9 on Sunday was told rudely by the manager Alicia that they had no more scrambled eggs and bacon. All well the girl at the front desk was eating hers. Alicia then went into the back and started taking about me rudely in Spanish...I speak Spanish. Disappointed because the rest of our stay was nice. read more

I only rate this hotel as a 1 because it makes you rate a star. I wouldnt even give it a 1!!!! I cant even rate it because i NEVER STAYEd BUT they charged me as if i did. I booked this hotel using an App that will no longer use Hotels Tonight. When i checked in to the hotel I realized after signing in that I could not have dogs.. It was 130 in the morning from driving across country so i went back in and told her that i could not stay there and RETURNED the keys and she told me i had to get the refund from hotels tonight. Well the hotel LIED to the app and told them i stayed in the hotel and that I took the keys!!! Then they changed the story and said my husband went in to the hotel. When i called the hotel the girl I talked to the night before told me never to call again and called me names!!! And hung up on me. When i called back to speak to the manager Bella they told me to bad and hung up again. They are liars and they steal money from people. Do NOT EVER GO HERE EVER!!!!! read more

For the price I got through a hotel website, I got more than expected. The room was clean (the first thing I do is check for bed bugs), breakfast was great, and staff were friendly. The negatives I experienced were little. After my first night there, my room keys were deactivated but the staff quickly and courteously fixed the problem. And a smaller bummer was that the jets in the hot tub didn't work but life goes on. I would recommend this place to a friend. read more
