I ordered off of the restaurant week menu while my SO opted to order off of the regular one. He started with the calamari, which was quite good. Nice and light breading and not overcooked. We sampled the papaya salad (one of the best I've ever tasted), coconut fried rice with yellow curry, drunken noodles with shrimp and mango sticky rice. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice and I'm glad I did it here because Mexico has such excellent mangos. It was fantastic and is now a new favorite. The curry rice was also delicious but for me, was a lot of food, which is not a bad thing. A great value actually since I got three meals out of it! They also serve margaritas by the pitcher, which is literally illegal in the ridiculous state we are from so we were very excited at this option. The full pitcher was a bit much for 2 but my friends, not to worry! They do a half pitcher!!! Our server was so nice and did a great job. Food came out very quickly as well. We had a great time at Archie's Wok and it has been added to our list of musts when in PV.

Today is day 14 for us, wanted something different and I wasn't too sure what to expect. Just off…read morethe beach, this is a really chill place. I ordered take out since the wife wanted to stay in. Pork egg rolls, Mongolian curry beef, almond chicken and fried rice. I had a lemonade while I was waiting. Everything was packaged well (lids taped on, sauce servings with lids, wrapped in cling film. The food was tasty. While I was not much more than 5 minutes back to the hotel, the egg rolls were soggy. The sweet and sour sauce for them was very good, great flavor and not overly thick. I asked for the curry to be hot, but not too hot, it was pretty mild. Definitely worth giving it a shot when you're looking to switch things up. Like most of PV, it was good and it was spendy (about 1,400 MXD for 2 mains, combination fried rice and 3 pork egg rolls + 1 lemonade).

We stopped in heading back to our airbnb and wanted something for lunch and food for later. It was more than enough food for two meals. The price was unbelievable. Two plates of food for 500 pesos. There is no way that can be beat. I would recommend this place for a quick (good) meal that's also inexpensive. I am deducting one star because we originally went at 12pm and they weren't opened on a Tuesday went back on Wednesday and they were.

Gosh, this was the cheapest restaurant meal I've had in Puerto Vallarta by far...89 pesos (under US $5) for 2 selections including fried rice/chow mein. There are tables (all filled) but no table service. I ordered takeout. Selections are laid out cafeteria style on steamer trays. I picked pork short ribs (more bone than meat but tasty and the sauce is good) and whole stir fry shrimp (a bit spicy and really good flavors). I couldn't decide between fried rice or chow mein, so the woman said half/half. Both were decent, maybe a bit too salty, but the entrees are the stars of the show. This may be a true hole in the wall place off the beaten track, but is definitely a place I'd seek out again. It's a block from the Malecon and easy to get to!
