This gym has a lot of great equipment and it is not packed 24/7 like other big gyms. Makes it so easy to get a workout in with new machines and no wait times. It's also always clean all the time. The personal training here is my favorite part. My trainer is Hugo and the results are great when I stay consistent and it is worth the sweat and soreness. Aaron, Joanna, Larissa, and Steven are also amazing trainers and everyone here is always looking out for each other. They also recently started a free running club, looking forward to joining that! Of course personal training and gym membership is different like it would be at any other gym. The gym membership is 100% worth it and so is the personal training in my experience. 10/10 recommended this private gym!!

I have been with Christine for over a year and my progress would have been impossible without her. When I first met Christine, I was dealing with debilitating back issues. With her help and the use of her many resources, my progress with both with my back and strength training (and of course, losing inches) has been significant and steady. She has been incredibly patient working with me when back issues re-emerge, but she has been incredibly helpful in getting me back to working order. She is also very flexible with scheduling. She works with you to ensure you're able to make your sessions and make up sessions as necessary. Ultimately, she is willing to put in the work with you to help you achieve your fitness goals. I am much stronger now than when I first met her. I'm excited to see further progress and what the future holds.

I am extremely happy with this addition as it was sorely needed and helps feel the old weights area feel less cramped with people. Speaking of, that area has also seen some additional benches added (thank you!) in place of the relocated racks. That being said, this place is still ridiculously overcrowded all the time. 1:30pm here feels like 6pm at basically any other Chuze, which is mainly why I can't give this gym 5 stars yet. Also the air circulation is still strangely not great. It still gets way too hot especially in the new side yard/turf area I mentioned. But again, very pleased with the improvements so far and I hope they continue to listen to their members to make the experience as good as it can be here. Also, open the Long Beach location already, lol.

Multi station level adjusting racks for all types of rows or pull downs as well as pull up bars. Isolation machines too. Plenty of cardio equipment & four Stair masters. Not an inch of gym space is wasted. This gym also has two training areas, one of which has TRX bands, a variety of kettlebell sets, yoga balls, and studio that are open to ALL members. On top of that, friendly staff that is constantly maintaining the gym clean and in order. Extremely helpful when the staff and management are all on the same page. They're there to help. Can't say anything negative about this place. Would highly recommend to all, especially to those new to working out.

From the moment you sign up to their free intro class you feel so welcomed. Everyone talks to everyone. I don't think I have yet to meet a rude person. I purchased the unlimited package so I had access to the open gym which is open 24 7! The two cons I have is that there aren't that many morning classes. They have 5:30 am and 8:30 am, but they do have a ton of evening classes. I highly recommend taking classes with Christian O., especially if you're new. He does a great job at explaining the workouts beforehand and going around the class to make sure you're doing the exercises right. He is so patient. The other con is the parking. It can be a bit tight, but I just go early so I don't have to stress about it. The classes are worth it! If you've been wanting to try CrossFit but feel intimidated give Backyard CrossFit a try!

Located within a park in a quiet…read moreneighborhood, across the street from an elementary school, Brenda Villa Aquatic Center features a 10-lane Olympic size swimming pool, with two other warm up pools of a couple lanes each. Restrooms and showers are expansive. The aquatic center seems to be a part of a larger complex, featuring waiting area, workout room, and other athletic facilities. On a Sunday morning, with a swim meet being held, parking is at a premium. However, we were still able to find a spot just down the street.

I see all the Water Polo peeps training, the old fogies just chillin', and the babies learning how to swim. It seriously seems like a pretty cool environment. Maybe if I ever have kids I'll bring them here to learn how to swim. I've been inside the locker rooms which are regularly maintained. They are SUPER clean and they have showers, bathrooms and, of course, lockers. Unfortunately the showers kinda lack privacy so I will never shower there. I posted a pic with the current Aquatorium fees. Funny story: I was at the Fitness Center, annoyed that all these high school girls were taking up all the treadmills. I was giving dirty looks and sighing. Well a week later I received the Commerce Newspaper and there on the front page were all those treadmill girls. And I was wrong. They weren't high schoolers. They were the friggin Mexican National Water Polo team and they were at the Aquatorium to train for the Olympics. Oops!
