It is a bit of an eclectic barn of a place. I held a company dinner here with over 20 people and we all thought the location to be quite interesting. It has a few pool tables, a long bar, a back room, a mix of seating tables, and an assortment of chairs. Nothing matches and the place looks in a bit of a yet to be finished kind of way. Definitely not a upscale business, impress a client or boss kind of place, but for a get to know your coworkers and management team meal I don't think we could have truly found better... especially in Jacksonville TX! However, let me tell you... let me paint a better picture... let me "esplain" it to you the way it went down... They have a pretty good beer selection on tap. I had the founders porter... dark and thick with a big bold coffee flavor, just the way a porter should be! Their fried cheese curds transported me back to Wisconsin, the home of the cheese nugget called curd. Then there was the chicken fried steak smothered in gravy, with pork rinds and thick cut fries... OHHHH MY GODDIE... TOOOO HOTTIE!! The chicken fried steak was tender, light golden brown and doing the back stroke in a pool of gravy that boasted a hint of pepper flavor... it was perfect! Put some sriracha on the pork rinds and they basically sang the national anthem in your mouth!! Normally I don't like think cut fries but these are crispy and when dipped in the gravy just completely impossible to stop eating! Our bartender and both servers were just fantastic! Food came out on time, our bartender never made us wait, and everyone was very very nice. Nice local brewery style bar/pub with a few craft beers that appear to rotate. They are not a full bar so no liquor but they do have wine. The patio area is covered with tables and a couch set. Now, I'M SUPER PICKY, but with that said, they were very dry & served luke warm. My side salad was super fresh & I loved their basalmic dressing. Great find! In Jacksonville to check out River Run ATV Park and stopped in for lunch. Massive loaded baked potato with a large amount of pulled pork. Smokey Chick Sandwich was also large and full of smokey flavor. Homemade chips were also delicious. We will be back. Happy hour from 2-5, with $2 off appetizers and $1 off drafts. Husband LOVED the Turning Point IPA. It was served in a small glass - must be a beer thing. Service was great. Ashley was very sweet. Outstanding Discovery. Passing through Jacksonville around dinner I found their listing, but passed it bye, twice. Read it again and we decided to try it and are lad we did. Nice place with a homey touch for furniture. Menu is not extensive, but covers the bases. Great selection of beers. I had a Bock that was on tap and it was a really nice surprise. It is from a brewery in Fort Worth. I had the grilled Chicken with vegetables and I was blown away with the quality of the entire dish. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Fresh broccoli was my vegetable and was beautifully trimmed and cooked. There was a side of Texas Toast that I usually ignore these days, but this was again so perfectly prepared that I are all of it. My son had a chicken burger that was a home run. The quality of the food and pleasant staff made this place an absolute treasured find. We will stop in next time we are near Jacksonville. read more

My fiancé and I went here on a Friday night. Came around 7 and expected to wait at least a little while for service but we were greeted and taken care of almost immediately. A group of us descended on the Commerce Street Draft house a couple of weeks ago and had a really pleasant Friday night. The staff was really friendly and attentive. Most of us drove nearly an hour to get there and felt it was worth the trip. There was live music by a guy who was really versatile and worth hearing. Everyone enjoyed their food, I believe, and prices are very reasonable. The beer selection was good, completing the trifecta of beer, food, and music. Disappointed - had we not had to pay when we ordered we would have left. After 45 min I asked about my appetizer (cheese curds). The staff couldn't answer how much longer but made excuses that the kitchen was backed up. A few moments later my husbands food came I was then asked what I ordered. After 20 min he stopped eating to wait for mine. Mine finally came with no appetizers still. After I was done eating I asked for them in a Togo box. For $8 bucks the portion was very small and over cooked as half of them were empty. The reviews were great so we stopped but wish we would of kept going 2 hours for dinner is crazy given we didn't wait to order. Definitely not worth the $40 bucks we spent read more
