Our meals were delicious! The ambience was amazing and we enjoyed our sweet waitress! I had never ordered Eggs Benedict but it was an excellent breakfast served with fresh hash browns and Filet! The grand tasting room is a great place to relax and visit with friends while enjoying an endless supply of wine and spirits. The restaurant always fills up, so reservations are recommended. Our steaks were prepared flawlessly, but were slightly overpriced in my opinion. We stayed overnight in the bed & breakfast and that was the biggest disappointment. The mattress was worn out, lumpy, and shaped like a bowl. There was no door or partition separating the bathroom from the bedroom. I'd come back for a meal, but I'm not staying. read more

Best restaurant in Tyler, TX. Go with the Seabass crusted in lump crab, zero disappointment to be had by this dish. Attentive service coupled with impeccable timing of dishes being brought out equal a delightful experience. Personally, I would skip the crab cakes though. Oysters Rockefeller are a hit, same to be said with the shrimp cocktail. Bottled wine prices (this being a vineyard) are beyond reasonable. Take the golf cart back and forth from the restaurant to the vineyard/tasting rooms, just ask politely and they will accommodate! read more

Avoid this place. We had high hopes but it was a huge disappointment. Every steak we ordered was overcooked, the shrimp were so rubbery you could bounce them off the plate, the potatoes needed salt and the service was comparable to sizzler. For the price, this was an awful experience. read more

This was our second trip here. We stayed in the stable, visited the Grand Room for a tasting and snacks. Later we went to the bar for recommendations from Emily! The menu options were poorly explained leading to unexpected charges. The wait staff appeared to want to be anywhere else. The crab cakes were quite unremarkable. $70 steaks should be tender and tasty, not grisly, tough, and flat. They only serve wine and spirits produced inhouse and those were good but pricier than you might expect. read more

Took a food and wine tasting class for Galentines Day and had a BLAST!! We learned quite a few interesting facts about the history of wines, how they're made, how to smell/taste the difference between them, and a lot of Kiepersol history, too. Our instructor was wonderful. The selection of wines were also explained as well as how they may pair to the food bites. She kept us engaged every step of the way and did an outstanding job with the class. Had a fantastic dinner here on a business trip to Jacksonville. Very nice upscale rustic atmosphere on beautiful property. We sampled a number of appetizers, I had a fillet, and key lime pie for dessert. Food and service were excellent quality, on par with any upscale restaurant back home. Good wine selection which I believe are all from the winery there. Overall a great dinner experience! read more

I wanted to like this place more than I actually did. This is a quaint rustic style family dining experience that has fairly traditional cuisine but executed at a two star level. I took my wife to this place based on a recommendation from a friend. The food was fair but definitely not at the price point we paid. Needless to say I was disappointed. I ordered Seabass which was slightly overcooked and my wife's steak was far too salty. And it really needed toast in the side so you could sop it all up! I heard a lady next to us ask for some toast for that reason. Our waiter said he gets asked they all the time. We have been going to Kiepersol for about 16 years now! We go to both the restaurant and the bed-and-breakfast. We have never had a bad meal there we love the atmosphere we love the waitstaff everyone is so nice the food is excellent and they make their own wine but they also offer other wine too so there's many options which is nice. Also if you do want to go to a bed-and-breakfast this is the one to go to. You must get their breakfast it's wonderful! read more
