    Breakfast tacos

Delicious! Great variety of both drinks and food. Their breakfast options are available till late. Tried their breakfast tacos with chicken which were delicious and their latte which had cute latte art. Ambience was neat and welcoming. Plenty of seating inside, service was great.

Had lunch here today and the food was delicious. The desserts looked delicious but I was able to resist.

Went in for a quick coffee, didn't think it would be so cute and cozy. They greeted me as soon as I walked in. The coffee was priced well, cappuccino was about $6. The service was great and quick and although my coffee was to go, they made a cute heart design for me. This coffee shop is very cute and the coffee is delicious, definite commend.

Exploring Houston and came across this coffee shop with the help of Yelpers. The dessert and latte both hit the spot! Easy parking structure next door.

Very GREAT customer service. They were very personable as if they were my family. For a minute, I forgot I was in Houston. I dropped my car to Momentum for service and searched for a nearby coffee shop. Javier at Momentum also recommended this cafe. The matcha and food was good temperature and I was able to get some work done as well. The cafe has a high bar with power supply on the top to plug your devices and wirelessly charge your cell phone. It was pretty chill vibes with some jazz music playing in the background. They offer tea, coffee, breakfast, lunch and cakes/pastries.

Upscale cafe vibes. Breakfast croissant was great and all around very balanced; I would've liked mine a bit flakier, but that's being super nitpicky. The spinach quiche was also very good but not worth the $7 price tag IMO. Comparable to Flour Bakery in Boston if you've been there.

    Pretty coffee art

My friends wanted to have lunch at the Café. I ordered a kiche with a side of Greek salad. I was charged $7 for the side of salad. It was a small amount. I wouldn't charge more than $5 or $6. My friend had a burger and asked for a side of bacon. She was charged $4 or $5 for the bacon. She was appalled. The art on the coffees is pretty and there is free parking.

This place deserves a 4.5. The owner and employees are super nice and friendly. The place is spotless, well decorated, and comfortable. For a cafe, the food is really good. Omelet - 4.5/5 a bit on the salty side, but bursting with flavor and ingredients inside Souvlaki plate - 4.5/5 fries were crispy, salad was well dressed, tzatziki had fresh cucumber. Chicken could have been a bit more moist. Egg plate - 4/5 the potatoes were the best part of this, well seasoned. Bacon was thick cut. I even liked the butter. Otherwise it wasn't special, but this is a dish you order because you want consistency, not novelty, so that's fine.

I was looking for a nice quiet coffee/tea shop to get some work done e while traveling for business. I found the perfect spot! Small but pristine, kind and quick service, and complimentary WiFi. Way better than going to the usual Starbucks, lol. They speak English and Spanish, come and check out their amazing hot Chai Latte with some serious art (pictured). I'll be coming back every time I'm in town.

Came in for the first time at this Greek cafe for early dinner with a friend and her kiddo. Cute place, good food, and even better customer service. The place is kind of hidden as it is not in a main road. The restaurant offers garage parking that is shared by a big office building, but there's also street parking available. As we walked in first thing I noticed was that the place seemed bigger outside, but wasn't really an issue as there were plenty of seating available for us. The decor is nice and modern, and the place has a nice laid back but intimate vibe. You order at the counter next to the display of delicious pastries and they bring the food out when its ready. I got the Greek sandwich and my wife got the combo salad that came with salad, dolmades, hummus tzatziki and pita. The sandwich was delicious and tasted fresh and my wife said she enjoyed the variety on her plate. We also got an ekmek to go and that was very delicious. They also serve illy coffee, and the espresso drinks at the table next to us all looked good! We stayed a little bit at the cafe to chit chat and I have to mention the amazing customer service. It definitely felt like a local mom and pop place. Everyone wanted to say hello to the kids in our table and even chatted with us a while - this is just the type of place you want to keep coming back to because of the customer service! Overall, glad to have found this place. We will definitely be back for breakfast or lunch!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND This was my second time visiting and both times were fantastic. From the beautiful latte art to the flavorful food this is not a place to miss. The service has always been professional and wonderful- can't wait to come back! (P.s if you're ordering a drink the chai latte was fantastic btw) pics from both times visited:

Stopped by to study a bit and it was a nice spot! Staff were very friendly & helped with coffee options. The location is great and has space if you're looking to grab a bite & study. The coffee is strong. I ordered a shaken cappuccino where the milk instead of foam and hot it was shaken and iced. I prefer iced and noticed this makes the cappuccino creamy on iced form I liked it! It may be an acquired taste as it was bitter even with adding honey The desserts are amazing!

Anyone know if they are open?

They're opening on Monday, May 4th at 8 AM. I'm assuming they're sticking with the 25% capacity but they're also doing curbside pickup and online ordering!

    Do they have oat milk?

I believe that they have soy and almond milk. But I didn't ask about oat milk.

All dinners come with a Greek garlic bread starter. I love their iced tea- fresh brewed and always good! Started to enjoy this first each time I come. It is that delicious, but why can't I find fruit like that anywhere at a grocery store? Give this place a try. Yummy. Officially the authentic Greek restaurant without going overboard. Wait- the homemade 3 layer chocolate cake and the lemon cake! Actually bought a whole one for a large birthday party and everyone wanted to know the bakery name- just Athena's homemade cake! Remember, Greek food is fresh with best ingredients. Established back in 1977, this Greek café has grown from a humble walk‑up window into a full‑fledged neighborhood institution, beloved for its hearty Mediterranean comfort food and lively, come‑as‑you‑are atmosphere. The Montrose location stays bustling from lunch through late night, drawing in everyone from families to night‑owls to longtime regulars who've been coming here for decades. What keeps people returning is simple: the food hits. Diners consistently praise the authentic Greek flavors, especially the gyro plates -- a blend of beef and lamb shaved from the spit, tucked into warm, fresh pita, and finished with cool, garlicky tzatziki. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and the pricing stays reasonable, making it one of the best value spots in the neighborhood. Your gyro arrives stacked, your fries come hot, and your plate feels like it was built by someone who actually wants you to leave full. The menu is huge, but the classics shine brightest. The Greek salad is crisp and refreshing, loaded with feta, olives, tomatoes, and their famous dressing. Service here is fast, friendly, and efficient -- the kind of counter‑style operation where the staff keeps things moving without losing the warmth that makes the place feel welcoming. Guests frequently mention how upbeat and helpful the team is, even during rush hours. The vibe is lively but never chaotic: families grabbing dinner, couples sharing mezze plates, and regulars chatting with staff like old friends. It's casual, energetic, and unmistakably Montrose. One thing that sets Niko Niko's apart is its deep Houston history. The Fetokakis family has run the restaurant for nearly half a century, maintaining a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality that helped the café earn multiple Houston Press awards over the years -- from Best Pork Chops to Best Family‑Owned Restaurant. Even as the city has changed around it, Niko Niko's has stayed true to its roots: hearty food, Greek hospitality, and a community‑driven spirit. Whether you're grabbing a quick gyro, sitting down for a full spread, or stopping by for dessert after a night out, Niko Niko's delivers exactly what a neighborhood staple should: great food, great value, and a welcoming atmosphere. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the experience feels like Houston -- diverse, warm, and full of character. If you're in Montrose and craving Greek comfort done right, this spot remains one of the city's most reliable pleasures.

While the wine selection and date friendly vibes were good selling points, the subpar service, high prices, and average food made for a less than stellar experience. These factors likely contributed to their recent closure, which is unfortunate. The interior was modern and intimate. High ceilings and large mirrors made the place feel more spacious than it was. It was a nice vibe that made the place visually appealing and date friendly. The brick walls, nice decor pieces, and ultra clean bathrooms were a big thumbs up. But vibes can't save poorly executed food. The octopus was dry and overcooked, the potato croquettes were a bit disappointing, as was, the trio of of dips. The souvlaki was supposed to be their most popular dish, but after trying their ribeye, pork, and chicken, it was simply too bland and not up to par. The gyro platters did not fare much better and the lamb chops were under seasoned. The lemon potatoes needed way more lemon but the only dish that was acceptable was the spanakopita (aka spinach pie). It was all overpriced, especially given the modest portions. Service was often aloof or nowhere to be found. When the nice woman butchered souvlaki and spanakopita, my gut was already in cringe. At least there was discount for cash. While I am saddened by their departure, I take comfort in knowing there are better options available in the city.
