This is part of a multi-use group of buildings and they seem to have the prime spot right at the corner. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a clean and pleasant space with high ceilings and green and gold decor. It's all new and there is a variety of seating types. I chose to sit at a small table near the side entrance. They have so many great food and beverage options, it was hard to choose. The nice young lady who took my order was very patient with me - I had lots of questions being my first time here. I ended up with a Mocha Pearls drink, Nutella Dubai Baklava, and an Almond Croissant. The drink was supposed to have chocolate pearls in it but I suppose since I ordered it hot, they melted. It basically tasted like a chocolate mocha so I would like to come back and try something different next time. The baklava sent me to the moon and back - I love chocolate baklava and it's hard to come by. Add the "Dubai" crunch kataifi with pistachio and I'm done! It was amazing! The Croissant was served warm and it had an almond paste inside. Soooo fresh and good! I love the attention to details and the care they took to serve everything so visually appealing. Frankie was a former dean of the Kresge Library and a donor to the endeavor. The café also highlights Peet's Coffee & Tea; a California based coffee company that holds the first Gold Certified LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), very artisan, organic and environmentally friendly.
