A while back, I used to be a regular here because they did a great job at cleaning my car. However, I recently came here to get a basic wash because there was so much bird poop and dust on my car. When I first got there, they kept pushing me to get a more pricy package. Then when my car was supposedly done, I saw that about 3/4th of the bird poop was not properly removed and the dust was not attended to towards the bottom of my car... I've been coming here for years mostly on Wednesdays when they have their double stamp deal on their reward card (get ten stamps and you earn a free basic car wash!) I was always satisfied but over the last year service has declined. They won't work hard to get the hard to reach areas or rub a difficult mark on the exterior out, basically if it's more than minimal effort then forget it it'll stay dirty. They also leave the interior super greasy :/ and if there's dog hair they won't even try to get some of out. I normally get the deluxe wash for 24.99 but I don't feel it's worth the money anymore. read more

First of all I never spend my time writing reviews, much less negative reviews, but I have to put this place on blast! I'M NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS CROOKED CARWASH! I highly advise you to avoid this place at ALL cost! I foolishly upgraded to the $25 wax job only to find that after 45 minutes my car not only had a splotchy sorry excuse for a wax job, but they also broke part of my car's V6 emblem off!! Seriously!? What the ****!? Then the guy hands it to me saying just glue it back on. If that wasn't bad enough, one of the employees stole a pair of sun glasses out of it's sleeve in the center console! I just left this Carwash and will never return. They failed to clean my dashboard, my rims were still dirty and they claimed to vacuum the interior but didn't. I brought it to their attention and asked them to vacuum the inside and they demonstrated poor customer service. My door handles were still dripping wet, they didn't dry the car at all and saw wet spots all over. They didn't even care when I asked politely for this to be corrected. Needed a car wash in a jiffy and I was in the area. I was just going to do a generic car wash and wax, but I wanted an air freshener so he talked me into one that was like 2 bucks more. The package came with a few more options so I just took the sale. Nice place, quick service. After everything, I get in my car and my windshield wipers were left of so when I turned my car on it messed up the front window :( The side mirrors had water spots :( And lastly, I didn't get my air freshener that I paid the extra money for. After a long night, I need to get my car completely cleaned. Before I took it in, my car smelled like throw up and there were stains everywhere. It had also been a while since I've gotten a car wash in general. When I first got there the guy was super nice and very helpful. I told him what I needed and said he could make it happen. After it was done, I was vey happy with my car. My car is a year and a half old and my car looked completely brand new from inside to out! So today after getting my oil changed, I really needed a car wash after the hard rain we had over the weekend for my truck. So I yelped places nearby and this one was the closes. It's been here for years and I passed by it in the past when I used to live down the street from here. I was sketchy at first by all the bad reviews. But decided to give it a try. Since my 2002 Toyota tacoma truck is old and running still like brand new, I often once in a while my outer part of head lights gets oxidized by the outside elements. With that being said, it has to treated and buffed out so the outer lens is clear again and therefore the light shines brighter at night. When I pulled up, I told them, how much is this. He quoted me $24.99 and I will give you the gold wash. I was sketchy at first because the place I usually go to and have this done, told me back then they can do it, but it's not guaranteed it will come out clear again. There price was about the same, but I want to see if these guys can do it. To my surprise, they buffed it out without a power drill buffer. I don't know what chemical they used, but my headlights look brand new again. Not only that, the guy drying my truck put extra detail to my truck. Waxing it in certain areas that a regular wash can't do. All I wanted was the wash and headlight shinny, he did extra by making the chrome shinier and the black trim shiner as well. If I had there type of cloth and chemicals they use, I probably could of done that part myself. But that's why I go to the carwash because I live in apartments complex and I don't have time for this. I would go back here again. Maybe next time for full wax of my truck. I decided to tip the guy good, gave him $8 bucks. I usually tip these guys $2 or $3 bucks. I don't know how this place is when it's busy or how the other guys service is when drying the vehicles. But today, it was not busy and it was fast considering what I wanted done. read more

I highly recommend Commonwealth Car Wash to all my friends. I have been coming here for over 5 years. I moved to Irvine but still drive from there to get a good job done for a good price. Price is actually so cheap compared to LA or Orange County prices. I don't trust other car washes because they scratch cars, this guys never. I used to come here all of the time but stopped coming when they continued to raise their prices. I also noticed the quality of their wash jobs also seemed to decrease as the prices increased. I now take mine to a drive through and just get a five dollar wash and have to dry it myself but it is worth the time given the price trade off. read more

Went on a saturday morning for a car wash. I did the 30 dollar wash on my stinky, sad car full of bird excrement. I feel kind of bad for the workers here, because it would not have been easy to clean up my big car full of bird excrement. Anyway, they did a fine job. The car looks as good as a new car, except for my car accident huge bump. I am satisfied with the result. It took about 35 minutes to throughly wash and clean the car. The guy who sells the car washes said the regular car wash doesn't come with vacuum clean! I've been coming here for years and the regular car wash has always came with the vacuum clean. What's whole point of a car wash then. This guy who sells the car washes even told me there was a wait of 45 minutes when there was like one car in the ahead of me. Didn't appreciate his attitude either. However The workers are always really hard working and they try to leave your car as clean as possible. Other than that the service here sucks ! I have been coming for wash of my CRV for a year now. Today they charged me for truck/SUV. I went to owner who was very rude and told me to not speak to him in a bad tone as he is the owner. They are on the high side of prices, considering the "atmosphere ". I would be better off using the do it yourself drive-through car wash a block south on Euclid. It's pretty sad they need to charge more for my CRV as most sedans are bigger than it. read more

I've been coming here for a while now; the prices have gone up a bit. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. If you have an issue with the work they've done it's resolved quickly. All in all it's a good place to get your car washed. One thing to watch for; to much tire dressing, have them either apply it before the wipe down or before you drive away. It can get very messy; I own a big white suv. read more

I had some time to kill and my car was dirty so I stopped in for a car wash here. Do you know that feeling when you put it an order for a hot fresh entree at a restaurant and your food comes out in like 5 mins, and you're left wondering how the heck it came out so fast? But it's not a good thing because then you're wondering what shortcuts were taken. That's how I felt at this car wash. I opted for the 2nd level car wash because it included vacuuming. About 10 minutes after I sat down, the guy tells me my car is ready. I was thinking - there's no way my SUV was thoroughly vacuumed, washed, cleaned, and dried in just a few mins. Sure enough I inspect the inside and it doesn't look like it was thoroughly wiped and there were white scuff marks inside my doors which could've easily come off with some wiping. My dash looked like someone just lightly brushed a towel over it with the amount of dust still on it. There were also visible water marks on the outside. Some things in life I don't mind waiting for if it means I get good quality, and a hand car wash that I just paid almost $20 for is definitely one of those things! One positive element was the customer service from Adam at the front. They were friendly and also offered me the yelp discount. Not sure if I will return though because at the end of the day, a squeaky clean car trumps good customer service at a car wash! read more

First time customer here and I must say, was not impressed and not surprised to visit yelp and find a steady diet of poor feedback. Guy was nice and friendly, up sold me and then failed to deliver. I was sold a 39.99 special including some interior shampoo and it's very clear the mats were not even removed during vacuuming process. Also a good sized problem area which we discussed prior was not dealt with at all. I usually visit a drive thru spot on Placentia and will need to look elsewhere for my car wash splurges. I have been coming here for as long as I have been driving. The carwash used to be $8.95 and they used to do a great job. Most recently, I noticed the owners have changed and so has the carwash. The carwash is now $12.99 but the quality a bit lackluster. The last couple times I came, they do a terrible job drying the car. Once I start driving, there's water everywhere! They need to take the dryer and blow out all the water from the windshields and the side mirrors. Also, I noticed they don't lift up the wipers and clean them or underneath them. They only wipe around them. The typical wait time is pretty short.. 20-30 minutes. It makes think they may take some short cuts. Why keep coming back? Well it's close to home and better than going through a drive through. I just wish they would do a more efficient job during the car before I take off. Overall dissatisfied with the job done. I got the diamond special but not much was done in the line of cleaning. Vacuuming was rushed and dirt was still left on the floor. The wash was subpar with bird poop and wax caked on. The inside was coated with armor all but not even cleaned properly. I had to pull over and wipe everything down so my hands weren't getting coated in cleaner as well. Checking in will get a 2 dollar of discount but it's really not worth it overall. Adam behind the counter was courteous so that was cool I guess. The same amount of cleaning is done at a gas station wash and self vacuum, will save you about 15 bucks and 20 mins too. read more

They're not practicing any COVID19 requirements. There's no face masks and they're in the cars cleaning and wiping their faces. I had to go home and sanitize my car after paying for sanitation there! I honestly had such an odd experience. The cashier was rolling his eyes and huffing and puffing and I have no idea why. He smelled the air freshener I bought and held it in his hands for several seconds before handing it to me. His hands and nails were filthy. The car wash was horrible. They didn't clean my mats and barely vacuumed (it literally took them 3min to vacuum, and I have children. It needed a good vacuum). They left their supplies in front of my tire, and I didn't see it. I ran over one of their supply containers and had to get help from pulling it under my car. It was dirty, and only one other guest was respecting social distancing and wearing a face mask.
