Stumbled upon this cute coffee cart on our stroll in South Park. This place has a lot of outside seating and a wide variety of coffee and goods. I tried a simple vanilla latte, both drinks were served fast and were very delicious. The girls in the front were very friendly and recommended favorites their usual customers get. I am not from the area but definitely recommend to anyone stopping by!

The golden coast shaken espresso is a must. Beautiful outdoor area and friendly staff. I love the little shop of trinkets and cookbooks. Dog friendly patio and great bagels with herb cream cheese. A nice place to sit outside and enjoy a coffee in the morning at a chill pace.

We love this communal location!! Great inside & outside space, able to post up to do work or play some board games. The coffee is delicious & just tried their food for the first time & I'm very happy! All their sandwiches had a gluten free option which is amazing. Workers are always friendly as well.

The coffee is so good, I actually tracked this place down from an old photo just to come back. A couple years ago, I stopped here and couldn't stop thinking about it. Thankfully I had geotagging on because I was determined to find it again. It was absolutely worth the search. I brought my family this time, and it did not disappoint. The shop itself is a charming little trailer with the cutest ambiance. It feels relaxed and welcoming, just the kind of spot you want to linger in. The vibe is calm and easygoing, perfect for slowing down and enjoying a really great cup of coffee. If you're anywhere nearby, don't skip this place. It's one of those hidden gems you'll want to come back to again and again. AND the cute little vintage and boutique shops in the neighborhood are great to stroll through as well.

Used to walk over to this spot to get my daily dose of coffee on the weekends and it never disappointed! Their iced coffee was made perfect for the warm summer mornings!

Drinks: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 I live in the neighborhood and had walked by this spot a number of times before finally trying it and I'm so glad I did. I've been back several times since, and my experience has been consistent across all visits (big win!). ATMOSPHERE: 5/5 I love all the outdoor seating and the dog-friendly environment. It's primarily outdoors and the patio space is extensive. There's plenty of shade on a sunny day, which makes it easy to hang out for a bit. I also really appreciate the serve-yourself water station. I didn't go inside, but at least outside I didn't notice any outlets or WiFi options, so if you're planning to work, make sure your phone is charged and you have a hotspot. I also really appreciate that the hours are fairly extensive (open until 5pm)! SERVICE: 5/5 The barista provided great recommendations based on what kind of drink I was in the mood for (coffee vs not coffee, hot vs iced), which I appreciate the additional attention to preferences. For drinks, I ordered: Hazelnut Brown Sugar Latte (hot): 4/5 The coffee itself was brewed nicely (not burnt) and wasn't scalding hot, which is a win. The hazelnut brown sugar flavor didn't totally wow me, but that's likely personal preference as hazelnut isn't usually my go-to. Still a solid option for someone who loves a hazelnut latte. Golden Coast (iced): 5/5 Delicious. This was a barista recommendation, and I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle the coffee flavor was. Still strong, but not sharp. There's a subtle sweetness and a really nice texture. I didn't think I'd like this as much as I did, but I'd absolutely order it again. Pup Cups: I mean... it's a pup cup, lol. My dogs obviously loved it. That said, I do appreciate that they use small cups and add a little biscuit on top. The thoughtful touch sets it apart. While I haven't been enough times to try their full menu, I have noticed that they do have a good number of seasonal rotations. I love that they keep things fresh on their menu and it does make me want to come back again and try what's new! All in all, a great neighborhood coffee spot with a relaxed vibe, friendly service, and drinks worth coming back for. I haven't tried the food or pastries, but everything I've seen from them has looked great!

The coffee is pretty great, However the service did not meet expectations. Barista was not helpful with the menu, and actually at times seemed to not even want to take our order. We ordered the iced Golden Coast, iced banana Carmel, and hot vanilla latte. All were good and definitely a quality coffee. The outdoor seating was great as the weather was good.

Stopped by this weekend and had a really pleasant experience! The staff was super friendly, and the space is bright, open, and inviting--perfect for a relaxed weekend coffee run. I tried the cold brew and the salmon bagel. The bagel was nicely toasted and flavorful; if anything, I might add a little lemon, but it was still delightful. The cold brew was smooth and refreshing--definitely hit the spot. Overall, a great spot with great vibes and quality coffee. Will be back!

This place looked like it would be amazing but the coffee was disappointing. The patio area is so adorable and charming, but the drinks were not good. I got the banana caramel latte and it tasted bland. My friends got different variations of matcha lattes and it tasted like milk.

Lovely coffee spot. You order from a trailer set-up. Pretty limited indoor seating, it's mostly outdoor. But San Diego has beautiful weather, even in the winter when I came, so most folk were enjoying the fresh air outdoors anyways. This place was all the vibes, with a good cup of coffee! :)

My absolute fave coffee shop, I come here multiple times a week! They make absolutely delicious drinks, the food is great even though they are working with a tiny kitchen, and the baristas are the best. Make sure the order the Ube matcha latte, it's the best I've ever had outside of Japan!!!

this is how i received the coffee after i paid, the coffee was almost 9 dollars +tip this is a first here please fill the cup

I just wanted to grab a coffee and have a toast with smoked salmon and avocado on crispy grilled bread. If you're here just for coffee, I'd say it's pretty basic--nothing special. And if you like coffee with cream, the cream is right on the table, so you can add as much as you like. But the toast with smoked salmon, radish, avocado, and crunchy bread was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed it. I'm giving this place 4 stars because I make better coffee at home, but the toast was truly amazing--so tasty! The atmosphere is modern and casual. It's a good spot to sit down and work or just have a quick bite. The staff is friendly, everything is clean, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. I sat outside, and I liked that you can hide from the sun on a hot day and still enjoy your meal comfortably.

The matcha was creamy, rich, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. One thing to know if you're ordering matcha or a latte--they only offer oat milk, not almond milk. My husband loved his coffee and said the espresso was smooth, flavorful, and let the coffee shine without being overcomplicated. The shop itself is really cool too. There's an art installation inside, an outdoor patio with additional seating, and I noticed quite a few people picking up bags of espresso beans while we were there. Not greeted upon entering the business just gave me that stare with not asking if I had any questions. I dont recall his name but he was very skinny, curly hair or wavy and i believe he had braces, but not sure if he was having a bad day but something wasn't all there. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

I also heard from another customer that the Thai coffee had a slight mocha taste to it which I thought was interesting. I'm indifferent to powdered taro milk teas, although this one in particular, I did not enjoy. It was thick and sludgy, with an undertone of medicine reminding me of pepto bismol. The color was lovely, but not the taste. I wouldn't order this particular drink again. The drink I chose was medium size and it was only $5.38 (or 5.83, I can't remember & I don't think I got a receipt) ish which I can appreciate! They have umbrellas as well, but they do need a heavier stand for windy days as I've witnessed it fall into a car several times. Sadly the ice cream shop was closed when I came back around 2pm. I found that to be odd, or perhaps it was open~ it was dark and doors were closed. But anyways, thankfully, Dark Horse Coffee Roasters was still open till I believe 3:30pm! (I went on a Sunday). They have indoor seating and a big space outdoor for seating. We found parking on the street, no paying needed. They also have a bathroom, which is nice, but most people don't ask for the key (since it's essentially open, only locked when in use). The door is frosted and you can see the outline of someone as they stand near it. I think it could be a little more frosty! There were a lot of workers the day I went and they were nice. The prices were good for specialty lattes and the guy informed us that both sizes use the same amount of shots (2), the only difference is quantity of milk! I got a classic, $6, 12 oz Iced Salted Maple (S'Maple) Latte. It was good, but I wouldn't mind if the salted maple was more flavorful. It's quite subtle! The outdoor space is really great for meet ups with large groups of family/friends/work. I think this location is really lovely and would recommend people to come check it out!
