I can't personally speak on the matcha since it was my friend's, but the Banana Pudding Latte?! 10/10. Holy cow. They actually put REAL banana pudding in it, so you get a sip of banana pudding with your coffee and it is SO good. It's the perfect balance of sweetness while still actually tasting the coffee. Definitely recommend! There is street parking, but just be mindful of the surrounding area. There is a noticeable homeless population nearby, so it's not necessarily the best location, but they did have security at the entrance, which I appreciated. I ordered a toasted coconut matcha (50% sweet), while my group ordered a vanilla latte (50% sweet), a lavender vanilla matcha latte, and a banana pudding matcha latte. I would say we probably could have gotten 25% sweet as the drinks were very sweet. My bestie found this super cutesy place. We've been then a few time and enjoyed each one idk why it took me so long to write a review. The interior decor is really pleasant reminded me of a library, and at the top was a picture of baby Alessie, whom the cafe is named after. Pistachio Matcha wow the pistachio came through! It mixed well with the matcha, I preferred this over Honey Cold Cream Matcha...my friend thought that one was a little too sweet since there's also added syrup, but she would definitely come back to try their other matchas! I've been coming here since they opened this location last summer, and I always have the best experience coming here! The banana pudding matcha has always been my go to and for my partner he recently tried the lavender matcha and it's now his go to. The employees are always super nice when we go and they're always really quick making our drinks. I stumbled into Cafe Alessie by chance when Izola was closed--and I'm so glad I did. What started as a backup plan quickly turned into a new favorite. The BF Sando sandwich on an everything bagel was a standout--the bagel was clearly freshly baked, not store-bought, with the perfect texture and flavor. The atmosphere of the cafe is really cute and there's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating perfect for catching up with friends. They offer a variety of different coffee and matcha flavors as well as food and small bites. I got the honey cold cream matcha latte, which was so good! The amazing barista, unfortunately I'm blanking on her name, was so sweet too as she made the cream fresh for me. I also feel like she gave me a hefty scoop of cream.. So, thank you so much to her. The honey cold cream did an excellent job at providing a slightly sweet, creamy texture to the otherwise strong matcha. If only I figured out how to pay for street parking in the moment, then I would have stayed and got some work done inside. This is another one of the IG/tiktok popular spots for matcha. Believe the hype. Their matchas are so good. Probably my new fave spot for matcha. People usually get the banana pudding matcha but I got the grinch drink from their winter menu which is a double matcha. It did not disappoint. If you like a stronger matcha flavor but still has the right amount of sweetness, it's perfect. The matcha is very well blended in their matcha cream. It is pricey at $9.42 with tax but matcha drinks are usually pricey. You have to wait a bit for your drinks because it's usually pretty busy. I went near closing time and there were still a bunch of people. It's a small shop with limited seating inside and more seating outside. Parking is horrible here because it's in downtown. So just be careful of the event parking rules downtown. I'll definitely be back to try their other items. read more

The bagel was soft, and the chips on the side were a nice touch, but overall I don't think I'd order it again -- it was fine, just not standout. The staff were friendly and quick, and by around 11:30 the rush had died down, so I could sit and enjoy my food inside. My friends got the regular matcha and dirty chai. The regular matcha was a little on the lighter side compared to some other cafes and I mainly tasted coffee in the dirty chai.
