Provecho Coffee is an absolute stand-out. Rad industrial building, excellent central location in Logan, delicious, thoughtfully crafted coffee, and fantastic service. This spot will be on my regular rotation!

THIS. PLACE. IS. RUSTIC. I love it!!! I wanted to suggest a new coffee shop place and searched reviews on yelp. This place popped up and we decided to give it a try. We did and here we are!! I wonder what this place used to be before, but I love the vibes. Music is amazing too. I got a sesame matcha, it was okay, but I'm sure to try something else next time.

What a vibe. Everyone had the same idea for Saturday coffee in Barrio Logan. The line was long the entire time we were there. The aesthetic is clean and on brand. The coffee is good, once size to keep things simple. My only complaint is that the sesame cold foam was the end of the bottle; so it was more watery than dense. It immediately mixed into my latte versus being able to sip and enjoy it on top.

The Costa Rican pour-over we enjoyed in the cafe was lovely but the real treasure is the bag I brought home. Great cafe! Greater coffee. If I lived in SD, Prove how would be in my rotation, for sure.

Very busy with a long line, luckily it went by quickly. Great coffee and the boy loved his Oreo concha and hot chocolate. Thank you for opening the back gate so my child's wheel chair can wheel on over to a table to catch some sun. Dog friendly, Ollie made some friends. We will return.

I always have an awesome time down at Provecho! Coffee Co. in Barrio Logan. It's situated inside of Bread & Salt, an incredible and down-to-earth art gallery that hosts a great range of installations and exhibits year round. The atmosphere is welcoming, open, and feels friendly toward people from all walks of life, families, and even dogs! I've had a handful of drinks here, including the Americano, cortado, and oat milk latte. Everything is really smooth, balanced, and tasty. I really enjoy working here with my laptop sometimes. Since the WiFi is so strong and the vibes are so nice. Definitely recommend trying Provecho! out--I'd even say it's worth the drive from further spots like Chula Vista or Clairemont.

I actually really love this spot. It's right next to a cool museum / art history place where you can walk around while waiting for your coffee. It's super artsy, the staff are very nice. Lots of college students doing work here as well. The coffee was delicious. The outside area is super big too!

Mi nuevo café favorito! While strolling through Barrio, I stumbled upon this hidden gem and I'm so glad I did. It's inside a mixed‑use building filled with cool things -- art, creative businesses, and little surprises everywhere. The colors, furniture, and the gorgeous handmade ceramics and dishware give the space its own unique, minimal‑but‑playful style, with just a touch of that warehouse feel (which I always love). The staff are friendly, many are bilingual (always a plus in my book), and the whole place feels very community‑forward -- part coffee shop, part creative hub, part neighborhood gathering space. I love the large outdoor patio, the quirky little community shack/installation (you'll know exactly what I mean when you see it), and the honor‑system shelf of books and sketchbooks -- definitely not the kind of books you'd find at a traditional bookstore. Absolutely love it here and honestly ready to never leave.

The coffee shop is hidden in this unique little warehouse in Logan Heights. There's a small set up for the bar in the center of the warehouse. The barista who took our order was really nice & made conversation with us as we were ordering. The vibes of this cafe is great, but the coffee itself was lacking greatly. We are grateful that we got to try this spot, but it may be a one & done for us. Orange Dream - 7/10 (the orange flavor was pretty light. i felt like the coffee itself was not as strong as i would prefer. overall, it was just pretty milky & i was a bit let down since i had high hopes for this cafe. ~jerm) Sesame Latte - 6.7/10 (i only tasted the milk in my drink as it was really lacking on the actual coffee. the sesame foam was quite thick, but i wish it blended better with the drink as it was pretty grainy throughout. i would also prefer if the coffee has a bit less foam. overall, the coffee was quite expensive for what it is. ~tine)

(Seasonal) Peach Oolong Tea, peach puree was not too sweet, didn't have that artificial taste. This was refreshing! Iced Matcha Latte w/ oat milk. The matcha powder they use...just try it. This matcha latte is super creamy and a little thick, we love it.

Walked in on a Sunday morning around 9am, line was to the door but I was very disappointed with their lattes. I felt like it was too milky couldn't really taste the coffee. I had the orange and Piloncillo. If I had to choose between the two, I would order the Piloncillo. Kids chocolate milk was not good. 4/10

You must go to Provecho even if you have to take a Beta Waymo...soon to launch driverless in 2026. Provecho has been around for several years as a coffee catering service and the company launched a cold brew coffee service during the pandemic. Soon after, they settled into their permanent space in a former bread factory in Bread in Salt in the Barrio Logan neighborhood. They mostly offer single organ coffee, pour overs and specialty beverages and they like to feature coffees from Mexico. On a tasting trip we tried the Costa Rican and Columbian options which are two of my favorite coffee regions in addition to beans from the Chipas region of Mexico. We met with the owners and purchased beans and hats. They have a fun merch program. The space is open, relaxed and offers an array of art both inside and on the outside patio. At the time of this review, there is a " What You Carry" display outside in which you can place something from your pocket or handbag to add to the art exhibit. Enjoy! #Provecho #BarrioLogan #Art #Coffee

This may seem like a silly question. But does anyone know if they have WiFi?

Yes they do. I ended up asking the barista. I cannot remember if it was posted or not.

Artwork is very beautiful and fits the Barrio Logan scene perfectly. I arrived with nobody inside the business minus the workers, you had maybe 2 people outside enjoying the scenery and their drinks. Not greeted upon entering the business just gave me that stare with not asking if I had any questions. I dont recall his name but he was very skinny, curly hair or wavy and i believe he had braces, but not sure if he was having a bad day but something wasn't all there. I ordered 2 drinks, I forget the other but it had cinnamon on top. The drinks were just hand on the counter without saying which drinks is which, so i asked which one is which. Didn't hear me, so i kinda said again and he pointed them out not in a nice or rude way but the approach of how it was handled was not friendly. How can you have Mazapán without the Mazapán crumbles which are very iconic to the drink. I just found it super strange and did not care for it. The cinnamon based drink was good tho, which I'll give them that. Experience could have been better.

Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

The same seating arrangement of the bar countertop and tables across from it was available if you wanted to hang out and chill. A sign behind the bar described the ceremonial grade matcha that was used with the region of origin and the flavors imparted to the powder. Five different matcha drinks were offered along with hot and cold coffees and lattes. The top three matcha choices were priced at $8 each. I chose the Ordinary Pleasure which was the first one. Pandan sticky rice milk and mango puree were added to the matcha and topped with a salted coconut foam. I wasn't a fan of the foam, but the matcha flavor was intense and contrasted by the fruity puree on the bottom of the cup. The baristas were very focused with measuring the exact amounts for each ingredient in the drinks they were preparing. The matcha quality seemed to be very good based on what I tasted so maybe it's why the price was $1 higher than what I have tried elsewhere.

The barista mentioned that it is on the sweeter side. When this was mentioned I felt like it would be a good pairing because the Thai coffees that I am used to having are typically on the strong side. I also heard from another customer that the Thai coffee had a slight mocha taste to it which I thought was interesting. I'm indifferent to powdered taro milk teas, although this one in particular, I did not enjoy. It was thick and sludgy, with an undertone of medicine reminding me of pepto bismol. The color was lovely, but not the taste. I wouldn't order this particular drink again. The drink I chose was medium size and it was only $5.38 (or 5.83, I can't remember & I don't think I got a receipt) ish which I can appreciate! The top portion of the drink was the Thai coffee and I really did like the flavor. Next time I'll get a different drink for sure! My friend tried the Green Thai Tea for the first time and really enjoyed the flavor of it. It had a floral jasmine + vanilla taste, a little bit on the sweet side-- but refreshing and delicious. The prices are pretty good (coffee and milk teas) and they also have smoothies (which can be on the more expensive side $9-12). Water cup is free upon request. They also have only a handful of seatings, but it's a nice area to walk around. They have umbrellas as well, but they do need a heavier stand for windy days as I've witnessed it fall into a car several times. Other than that, I recommend checking out It's Cafe Thai in Barrio Logan!
