Where to even start! Such a dope little place. Coffee shop...art shop...DJ just rippin sometimes. Just never know whatcha gonna get. But, I bet it'll surprise ya. Staff was as dope as the setting. Coffee was great too. Definitely looking forward to checking out some of their events. Such an amazing vibe.

Por Vida Coffee is such a gem in Barrio Logan. The space has so much character filled with local art, vibrant culture, and even a fun photo booth that makes it feel more like a creative hangout than just a coffee shop. I tried their horchata latte and it was incredible. Perfectly creamy with just the right balance of coffee and that sweet, cinnamon horchata flavor. Not overly sugary, just smooth and satisfying. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and recommend to anyone exploring the area.
Small and local spot in Barrio Logan. Love to support a small business. The inside has great art pieces showcasing the chicana community. Tried the horchata latte (only available in 16oz). The flavor was more on the bland side. It doesn't have a strong coffee or rice flavor. I was disappointed in the flavor but would possibly try other items in the menu. It can take a while to get your drink, but don't mind. Great customer service. Parking can be tricky due to area but cars move in and out at a good pace so don't have an issue unless you're there during an event.
Por Vida is a nice, minimalistic little coffee spot in the heart of Barrio Logan on Logan Avenue. It's gone through several decorative changes in the past couple years, and is now a very simple shop with one row of small bench/chair seating with low round tabletops, plus a few shaded tables outside. The coffee quality has remained constant and good eve since I first came here several years ago. I like the Calle de Olla Latte, Por Vida, and cold brew the most out of the menu. Owner is a cool guy who's not super talkative always, which I think people mistake for coldness. It's not that! Also, there are rotating art exhibits shown here on the walls and they're always really unique and interesting. Overall it's a nice spot to grab a drink at while out and about in Barrio Logan.
They know how to make an amazing coffee! Flavor options are nostalgic. The baristas are sweet and helpful! This place has good energy to start your day with! Unapologetically cultured & a good way to Expresso yourself .. check out the Photo Booth! so much fun.

They offer mixes such as Mexican Mocha to a refreshing Horchata Cold Brew. I Love the Dulce Leche Latte and the La Rosa but there are so many others that are delicious too. They also offer different milk options such as oat and almond creamer catering to all the taste buds. It was around 10:35 am when I came in and there was already a handful of people there. The worker greeted me as I took a look at the menu. And there was one worker during the time I was there. He took orders and made the drinks, I think he did it in a timely manner considering it as just him. I didn't know how to pronounce the one that I wanted (Cafe de Olla) so I went with the Hot Por Vida Latte (Brown Sugar & Cinnamon), Half Sweet, with Whole Milk. This tasted great hot as it was super warming and not overly sweet. It was a great balance! It was $6, I believe. They take card and exact change -- if you pay with cash. He was able to do latte art, it was very pretty - although I didn't take a photo (mental image). Interior was clean and half the coffee shop was filled with food donations which was amazing to see! They have both interior and outdoor seating. You may have to wait a bit since there's only one worker, but the quality is great. I recommend asking for less sweet.
This place was extremely cute and definitely up my alley that's why I came in. The service was really good and attentive. I never had horchata like this and it tasted amazing. I'm sad it's 2 hours away from me but I'll definitely be back when im in the area
Very hip and cool coffee shop that offers a variety of Mexican inspired coffees, teas, and fruit drinks. The inside has very nice murals of Frida Khalo, Virgin Mary, and other Mexican inspired art. Very cool and very fitting for the location. There seems to be no street sign, but you can't miss it, since it's open concept vibe. We ordered the horchata coffee, not too sweet and just perfect with the flavors of horchata. Also ordered the Calle de Olla coffee and this one was our favorite, it had notes of orange, coffee and just so good. There was only one person ringing you up and making the drinks so depending on the day and time you might end up waiting a bit for your drinks. Will have to be back to try other coffees and drinks.

The coffee was a highlight. I ordered an iced "Por Vida," and it was smooth, slightly sweet, and really enjoyable. Parking was easy to find, which is always a plus. The staff were also friendly and polite, which made the visit even better.

I'm from Logan Heights so any time I come to the shops and restaurants down here it feels like home. This particular shop I'm a big fan of. Milo and Caro are the owners and I love to see a family affair done right. I initially met Milo when doing some volunteer work at the same place nearby so I had to come by and check it out his coffee shop. He runs a coffee training/class at the school for unhoused kids so they have work experience after they graduate. An amazing investment in the community. Come check it out. I usually get a regular drip or a latte. The decor was simple today but they host artists so I can't wait to see the next exhibition. read more
We're from out of town and I was so hyped to finally visit this spot. I really wanted to love it, not just for the coffee but because of what it represents. It represents Cultura, and I love seeing that. Unfortunately, the drinks just didn't do it for us. My husband and I ordered the same drink, but they tasted completely different. Mine tasted mostly like milk, while his tasted like straight espresso. I also thought there would be a lot more artwork and Cultura to take in, so I was a little surprised by that too. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but I was a little disappointed because I really wanted to love this place. read more

This place was extremely cute and definitely up my alley that's why I came in. The service was really good and attentive. I never had horchata like this and it tasted amazing. I'm sad it's 2 hours away from me but I'll definitely be back when im in the area read more

If you're walking around Barrio Logan, order yourself a Jamaica lemonade at Por Vida before getting tacos at Xicanitos. It was the best way I could've spent my Sunday afternoon I've also tried their Mazapan latte. In my opinion, it tasted more like a standard latte with mazapan pieces at the bottom. Still delicious, but other renditions of mazapan lattes I've tried offered more mazapan flavoring. If you don't mind the pieces at the bottom, I still recommend trying if you enjoy mazapan! read more

Por Vida is an aesthetically pleasing cafe that serves up tasty Mexican inspired drinks. We ordered the Horchata latte, matcha green milk tea and horchata aqua fresca. All drinks were well executed and though it was busy, wait time was minimal. It would have been nice to have some pan dulce to accompany our drinks. read more
Super cool little cafe! Service as great as soon as I walked in. There was a DJ playing music in the front which was cool. I tried the spicy Jamaica lemonade and it was delicious! Super refreshing and well balanced. I will 100% have to go back to try the coffee. read more

OKKKKK been to this place before an I had forgotten until I stepped in yesterday during Chicano park day. BF ordered Por Vida Latte and I ordered the spicy Jamaica lemonade. The rim on my Jamaica had chamoy and Tajín and the drink itself was a 10/10. For sure coming back here to check out the photobooth !!!' Most definitely the coolest coffee shop that I checked out in San Diego. Located in the Barrio Logan area, Por Vida Cafe had great vibes and awesome art work throughout the space. I tried the Mazapan latte which was great. The staff was also nice. Looking forward to coming back the next time that I'm in San Diego to try more drinks on the menu! Terrible service. When I said, I wanted a small the owner looked at me and said it's only this big ...holding up his fingers. I proceeded to order a larger size and instead of hot like I said, he made it iced.. My husband ordered an iced Horchata latte that they said they could no longer make cold so they had to do it Hot. Extremely rude service. Drinks made wrong. I even tipped. The drinks are not good enough to be treated like this. I will not return. read more

So cute! The art is baller, and the drinks are amazing. "Sticks" made me the best matcha I've ever had. He used the honey matcha and whole milk, and it was divine. Also, he recommended El Carrito next door, and it was so cute. Loving Barrio Logan! read more

Stopped by after a field trip for an afternoon pick me up. We got a spicy lemonade, strawberry lemonade and the brown sugar iced coffee. All were very yummy. The barista was very friendly and apologized when she realized she didn't have an ingredient for one of the drinks. She offered to substitute it for another right away. read more
This is such a cute coffee shop located in Barrio Logan a Latin/ Chicano area I loved it . The coffee shops is decorated with Frida paintings and low riders tables . I loved all the art inside . The coffee cup had a cute label to it too. The attention to detail is key . This place definitely represents the Chicano culture All the staff were super nice and attentive . The coffee was so delicious and they had a lot of great flavors like Mazapán and so many others . I really enjoyed this location I would definitely be coming back when in the area . I love it here. Staff is super friendly, coffee is always a 10/10, the vibes are vibing.. what more can you ask for? I have been getting the Por Vida Latte the most.. something about it just hits every time and makes it hard to try the others lol. There is street parking but limited! Located in Barrio Logan so please visit and get yaself some coffee and walk around the strip. So much local goodness and spots to enjoy there and support businesses! read more

I was so hesitant to leave this review. I came into the coffee shop and they had no customers. The person working behind the register was on the phone. I waited several minutes before they took my order, where they never hung up the phone and took my order while still taking to the person on the other end of the phone. They then continue their phone call and did not start making my drink for several minutes until another set of ladies walked into the store and they told the person on the phone they would call them back. They then quickly started my drink and began taking their order. After finishing up with them, they finished up my drink and handed it off to me with no acknowledgement of the fact that I had waited almost 15 minutes for 1 latte in an empty coffee shop. I started this review saying I was hesitant to leave this review because I'm a big believer that maybe I caught this shop at a bad moment or a bad, and maybe this is not a reflection of the overall experience of this shop. But at the same time it would dishonest of me to not share my experience at this shop. My drink did taste good, and I hope moving forward that this isn't the experience in the future! read more
I came from out of town here but I found this place on TikTok and saved the video I so I had to stop by here to try the coffee. Coffee was pretty good. The vibe and setup was what really drew me in. We asked the barista for recommendations and what we prefer and her suggestion was perfect for what we wanted. Definitely will come back when we come back to visit San Diego. read more

I ordered the iced Por Vida Latte and a hot Dulce De Leche Latte. It was $15 for both, so not too terrible. First off, the hot latte looked so nice! I took a sip before adding my lid and it was sooo creamy. It was hot but not too hot so I could enjoy right away. It's really sweet and super tasty! The por vida latte is also sweet, but not too sweet, with tons of cinnamon you can actually taste. This was my first time here and the ambiance is nice. The art is beautiful, the garage doors add natural night and fresh air. The music was fitting and the barista was soooo sweet! I'll definitely be returning! read more

I enjoy coming here. I got the mazapan iced latte. This was super delicious. They have a variety of drinks. You can sit down and enjoy your drinks. The people were helpful. Would definitely recommend this place. read more
