I my tire was slowing losing air and I first went to a service center in Wyckoff ( I will not name the company, but they are the service center named after a large multinational tire company). I was told I had a nail in my tire and that it could not be patched (this same repair center sold me this exact tire (back rear tire) 6 months previously when I had a different nail in the tire. I was told my 6 month old tire needed to be replaced, and that I should actually replace all 4 of my tires because it was of the wear on the tires overall (the car is 20 months old). So basically they told me I needed to spend $1000 on new tires. On the recommendation of a colleague I went to Community auto in Ramsey as he said they were trustworthy. I could not be happier with the service. He looked at my tire and said it could be patched easiler without concern. The location might look a little dingy but they were honest and true to their word. While the garage in Wyckoff wanted to fleece me for $1000, these guys in Ramsey charged me $32. I will be definitely be returning for any other auto needs. read more

I've been going to community auto for over 8 years and haven't been dissatisfied once. Randy the owner tells it like it is as if my car was his Sons car. Safety first! The mechanics stay working there for many years so the same guys work on my car and truck. Comfortable leather couch in the waiting room is a nice touch. They did a very difficult repair job on my snowplow truck, a rush job nobody wanted. They also finished before the next snowfall which was just 2 days later. Randy and his team couldn't be nicer or more professional. You get dealer quality work but not dealer prices here. They give you an estimate and there are no surprises at pick-up, no up sell, no suggested extra services. Your car is ready when they say it will be. They're open long hours so you can drop off your car before you go to work and pick it up when you return. Speaking of dropping off, if you need a ride home after dropping off your car they're happy to take you and will come pick you up when it's ready. I brought my car to the dealer and I was given a laundry list of things that needed repair. I went to Community Auto and Tire for a second opinion and found out more than half of those items were still in good shape and didn't need the "immediate" repairs I was told by the dealer. BEST AUTOSHOP IN NJ NY NYC PA MAYBE ANYWHERE TRUSTWORTHY HONEST AND FAIR Ok so first let me thank everyone down at community auto & tire. This is a real autoshop. Real guys who wont screw you around and try and stick it up your, u know where, sideways. I brought my car to Mavis on Franklin Tpk to have my tires changed. Fine they did the job and didnt knock me to hard on price, so i told them i would bring the truck back next week for brakes. I pay them upfront for the tires and leave and come back later to pick up the car. Work done. Now i start driving my truck and it doesn't feel right so i bring it back in a couple days for the brake job. fine 209 for the front 209 for the back i thought awesome go ahead do the work. this time do not pay up front so long story short i call them up 20 mins before the truck is supposed to be finished and they have not done a thing and need to talk to me about shit. but dont call me to tell me this when they find out there was a problem. needless to say u see where this is going a $420 job turned into a $3200 job that all this labor is gonna be needed and all these parts 13hrs of labor at $117 an hour. told them to shove it take my car down and get out of there now the truck is even worse then it was when i brought it in. now i stop off at community auto. my friend dennis told me about them and i trust my friend. so i walk in and speak to the gentleman and tell him i need brakes and also had my friend dennis call them and set things up. i dont tell them about all the "other" problems mavis said i had. so while they have all my wheels off and are waiting for the brakes i go back to get my cigs from the truck and ask the mechanic real casual how does all the rest look under there while u have the tires and rotors off. he tells me 2 other things need to be done which was 3/4 of the shit that mavis wanted to hit me with. so the 3200 in work came down to just under 1100. they use the best parts that u can get so u may pay a little more then other places for lets say brakes but you know they will be done right and your not gonna get blind sided by some crazy 13hr labor job. what mavis said would take them 13 hrs took Community auto 2 hrs total to fix.
