I went to this place because they had a coupon in one of the mailer magazines for $14.95 for an oil and filter change. About an hour after I dropped the car off, I got a call and they said my car took an extra quart of oil and used a filter they don't keep in stock, so the price would be $27.92. I had a tight schedule and needed the car back so I let them do it for the higher price. Seems like a big price difference to me. Bait and switch? Also the guy at the counter was kind of gruff. Got a flyer in the mail for a $14.95 oil change. Went here at 8am with nobody around except for the employees. I was told that an oil change could not be performed until later, and I was offered a 10am appointment. I agreed, and returned at 10am. As I waited, I was told that it would be about 30 minutes. I quietly waited for 30 minutes and then was approached by Holly, who works the front office. She apologized for the delay, and said it would be another 15 minutes. She asked me if I had time to wait, and I said that I did, if the timeframe was in fact, 15 minutes. I was reassured that it was. During my visit here however, several drive up customers (some with their vehicle parked running by the front door), would come in to ask for service, and a mechanic would be immediately available to check out their vehicle. Some customers were sold services that were performed on the spot. As I waited, I looked toward my vehicle which had not been moved. About this time, after 50 minutes, Holly looked over at me, made a frown, and said, "sorry it's taking so long, can you wait?" I said, "no". She handed me my keys and said, "I can get you back in later if you want". I said, "no thanks, I've already been up here twice. After I got home, I decided to call. Holly was receptive to my complaint at first, and asked what she could do to make it right. I informed her that I didn't know, and offered the advice that timeframes should be communicated accurately. I informed her that I don't mind waiting, but not indefinitely. Holly responded by saying, "well, I could have gotten you in right after you left but you weren't here", with a facetious tone. I basically ignored that irrelevant notion, and also advised that it wasn't cool for them to service walkins in front of delayed, appointment based customers. Her response was first that that didn't happen. I began to point out the examples and then she replied, "well, it wasn't me that was servicing them, they were just unexpected". I informed her that I would write reviews and the like, communicating my dissatisfaction, but at that point she (or, "they") didn't care at all. 3 hours wasted behind an oil change that was never done. If you want to wait, waste time, and be made to feel unimportant, these are your people. As a side note, while I was in the office Holly took the time to talk with a couple of folks that administered their website for the company. During the conversation, the webhosts were telling Holly about how they will flag negative reviews on their website that will not post without moderator approval. This was discussed in front of other customers, wide open. Having said that, I wonder how involved they are with manipulating reviews on other websites, since they at least seem to be supportive of the concept in theory. read more

Horrible experience with this company. We have a business and brought our truck we use for business there. They made promises they could not keep - like getting the job done within the time frame that it was needed. After they were not able to hold up their end of the deal they verbally had made on the phone - they demanded to be paid!!! If we don't get our truck on time we don't get paid!!! So as a result they kept our key. I would not ever suggest using this place at all. Looks like we should have read their other reviews on yelp. Looks like they don't care about being on time!!! This place is great. Holly always takes care of me. Had her inspect a vehicle that I was going to purchase. The catch was it was salvage. She gave it a full inspection and told me everything looked good. She was totally right. A year in, and I've had no problems. The owner is a great guy. Had the pleasure of meeting him on my last visit for an oil change. I've got my whole family going there for service on their vehicles. They are quick and they know what they are doing. read more

I chose this place because of the reviews and location close to me. Pluses,I came to change a headlight bulb and he fixed it for free. He also checked the corrosion on the battery. Negatives,I didn't have a ride and my car was not taken care of promptly. It would have been good if they gave me a timeframe. I think I walked down the street for an hour or two and when I came back it was still sitting there. I called back a few times for possibly other services and they were booked for a week out so I went somewhere else because I wanted to take care if it sooner. I am not sure if guests can use Wi-Fi when they wait, but a waiting area with a table or desks would be nice. read more

We went to Community Automotive on the recommendation of the local NAPA dealer. Holly and Mark were so helpful when we had an issue with our Ford. We had taken it to two other auto shops, and left quite frustrated because nobody could figure out what was wrong with it. Community Automotive kept it overnight, and the next day we got a call with an explanation and estimate of repair costs. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was not going to cost us an arm and a leg, and they were able to finish the job within the estimated time frame. Another time, we were looking to buy a car from Craig's List. We took it to Holly, and she performed a thorough inspection. It needed a few minor things, but nothing untoward. I can't figure out for the life of me why people are on here nitpicking the fine folks at community. Sometimes they can't hit the time frames they promise but they always call in advance to let you know and then Holly will always go the extra mile to make things right and to keep your business. I drive a ford with a 6.0 so I'm pretty used to going to a shop and community is the only place I will go. Mark- the owner and powerstroke specialist knows what to do in any situation. Every time I get my truck back it's running in tip top shape until it has another issue which is always unrelated to the work they had preformed. I would highly recommend them to those who are tired of being hassled by crooks and hacks. I love these people and I will continue to use them for the rest of my days here in Colorado. Whether I move 3 hours away or not they are worth every penny and minute! read more
