Like other reviewers, this pharmacy made an error with my order. They asked if I wanted to purchase something from them in addition to my medication, and I said no. They shipped it to me and charged me for it anyway. Their solution is that I won't receive a refund until they receive the item back from me. I think that's kind of ridiculous to hold my money for something I never agreed to purchase and now have to go out of my way to return to them. I would never use this pharmacy again. read more

I love the Community Compounding Pharmacy. It is so much easier to deal with them, to get things done. They have a great automated system, but you don't have to use it, you can speak with an actual person. And you won't have to wait 20 minutes on hold. When I've had a question, someone was available right away, & friendly. I get one compounded med from them, refilled 4 times a year, for 5 years now. No mistakes, no delays, in 5 years. They are constantly making errors. They don't read or follow the directions or messages you leave with their staff or pharmacists and claim there's no record of them so it's impossible to hold them accountable for anything discussed over the phone. From filling an entire prescription and charging my card hundreds of dollars when I only called to ask if my insurance covered it (and refusing a refund on a technicality) and charging me for a full refill when they only did a partial refill, to blaming their mistakes on my doctor. The customer service while troubleshooting these problems is awful. "I'm sorry" goes a long way and it's not in their vocabulary. I do not recommend keeping a card on file here and make sure to double check your bill compared to what you receive. read more

Bad customer experience. Hands down terrible -- as in shipping my drugs to the wrong address after I repeatedly call and ask them to change the address. And then, when I call to complain -- there is no such thing as "the customer is right" it's all defensive finger-pointing like somehow I did something wrong. If I didn't need to use a medication that must be compounded, I would not be a customer. It actually sucks to have to rely on these people. I specifically asked if my insurance didn't cover the compounding medicine to give me a call so we could lower the amount of medication since it was a new medication and I wasn't sure if it wasn't going to work and it was over $125. When I called to fill the RX I had updated all of my info with CCP. However it seems they did not save my updated phone number and tried reaching me at my old number that I haven't used in over a year. I was promised it would not be mailed out until they confirmed with me. Since they couldn't reach me at my old number they just shipped out the entire order and charged me the full amount. When I called to ask about this I was told the note on the account was to charge me in full if insurance didn't cover it, which was not correct. I was met with a rude response of "what are we supposed to do about it now?" which obviously I guess nothing since they couldn't be bothered to follow what I had asked for in the first place. read more

I'm with the other reviewer that recently reviewed. These people are a fcking joke and we've been using them for a little over a year. So, yea they said they were in some "transition",but they could have been more on top of things knowing they were going to be do that. There's a thing called preparation, and esp with peoples medications. These guys are the most incompetent medical place I have ever seen. What a bunch of malarkey. We called in my bf prescription almost two weeks ago.. even before the damn snow storm, etc, and they used the "weather" excuse both times. We called Tues to follow up and in theory should have been here Wed as previous poster said, but., no dice, they didn't even take out the payment until today, Yea.. we won't be using these clowns anymore. They definitely don't care about their customers. Would not recommend to anyone! read more

Their turn around time (if they fill your order at all) is long. Over a week. When they fill your scrip, you have to call and talk to them in person before they will send it out. Maybe this is normal, I don't know. But for me, means leaving work in the middle of the day to find privacy and reception so that the pharmacist can "explain" to me everything that my doctor already told me. One time, I didn't have any more refills, so they simply didn't fill the request I called in. Didn't call me. Didn't call the doctor. Just closed the file like "welp I guess we're done here". That was awesome. That meant three days out of work for me. Twice now my doctor has called in a prescription, then I wait and wait - nothing. Call the pharmacy and they say they "never heard anything". Call my doc back - "nope, we sent it. Guess we'll send it again?" Wait a day or so, call the pharmacy - still nothing. I tell them it's really important, can they please go look? No, I'll wait on hold. Only then can they somehow find it. REALLY?! Maybe you guys are new to this whole medicine game but sometimes it's literally a matter of life or death. Just go check your fax machine. One time I had to actually beg them in tears to fill my prescription. I explained what it meant: vacations cancelled, sick days at work. And today, here I am once again - it's been a week without meds, I'm going to be on the floor for about another week after this. All because they didn't refill my prescription when I called it in. I've worked with my doctor to tweak the way the refills are called in. I've asked the pharmacist if there's anything I can change about the way I place the order. Nothing works. I have to go to a compounding pharmacy because of unusual dosage, but there's got to be a better one than this. Please, if you have a serious disease, go somewhere else. I would be careful before you get your compounds from this pharmacy. My naturopath referred me to them and each drug was rejected by my insurance. I was told they needed to use a filler that the insurance did not cover. I continued to use them for a year or more paying full price out of pocket each time. I then found out that Walgreens has a compounding pharmacist and he was able to start filling each of my medication with full insurance coverage so that my copay was only $5 each time! I tried to ask CCP why they had not been able to do the same and experienced terrible customer service. I wasted many hundreds of dollars using them thinking I was supporting a local business but ended up with much better service and far less out of pocket from the big box store :( read more

Quick Delivery and good customer service over phone. I would give 4-5 stars had there been directions with the prescription. I didn't receive directions (via mail) with prescription, and that was important with this prescription. I will use them again, but I will make sure to get all directions. read more

Horrible, uncaring money grubbers. 2 weeks and counting since I put my order in (four times). They frequently take their sweet time and are un-appologetic about it. Been without my meds for 5 days now and it's rough. Don't use these people if you can go anywhere else at all. It would have been quicker for me to drive to Mexico and back. BEWARE: Questionable business practices & competence. If I could leave a negative star rating, I would. The staff at Community Compounding are friendly enough but their service fails to meet even minimal expectations. For example, they recently partially filled (6 tablets of a total of 90) a prescription but charged me for the entire amount. When I received this envelope, there was no courtesy notice of the discrepancy. An immediate call to the pharmacy to request the balance of my prescription was necessary. After two additional weeks -- having gone 9 days without this necessary daily Rx compound -- and over eleven telephone calls to Community later, I finally received the balance of the pre-paid medication. If that experience was not frustrating enough, my next prepaid refill request was simply disastrous. The package was left on the front stoop of a PRIOR address (remember: current shipping and billing address was confirmed. I had already received an earlier refill (described above parts A-6 tablets & B-84 tablets) after much difficulty at my new home. Fortunately, a gracious neighbor returned the package to the Post Office and the Post Office returned it to Community (package signed for by a pharmacy technician). Community Compound provided me USPS tracking information for this package that shows the time, date, and staff signature the parcel was returned & ACCEPTED by the pharmacy. These goofs refuse to redeliver the package and refuse to issue a credit. Fortunately, my credit card company reversed the charge given my USPS tracking information. I am so fed up with recurring Community kerfuffles, that I now strongly discourage patronage of the wack shack! My dog has her pills compounded here and I'm in love! Our old compounding pharmacy in Eugene was lovely, but very slow. This pharmacy is cheaper, faster, and way more efficient. I make one call--leave a voicemail with the prescription number, and LITERALLY THE NEXT DAY it shows up in my mailbox. I'm so, so impressed. Once their shipment took a few days, so I called to check on its status because my dog was totally out of pills. They said they shipped them but would overnighted me new pills so my dog wouldn't die. They didn't charge me--just said that if the original shipment ever showed up to let them know so they could bill me. Surprisingly one month later a completely battered package showed up with a postmark showing they did indeed ship it on time but that it must have been lost in the mail. I called them to bill me and they took care of it. Anyway, I love this place. Love that I never have to go into this place. This pharmony is friendly, but often makes mistakes when they compound my hormone troche. They get the compounding wrong and I don't sleep for a couple nights while they frantically correct their mistake and Fed Ex me a new version. I am going to Europe in several days and have a bad batch. I won't sleep now my whole trip. Basically they have ruined a long planned vacation. I would Not recommend this pharmacy. read more

After receiving a devastating prognosis for my little dog, I was researching anything to help her. I was familiar with low dose naltrexone for humans, but was surprised to see on line, how it is helping in the animal world as well. I went in person to Community Compounding to see if I could talk to someone about this. I was helped by a wonderful person named David who is a pharmacist there. I told him that I was not able to give my dog her pain medicine by mouth anymore because she wasn't eating. David went on a mission to see whether LDN could be compounded into a transdermal cream that I could just rub on the inside of her ear lobe. He researched and found that it was possible and that they would be happy to work on this, but I needed a prescription. That proved to be my biggest obstacle. It was difficult to get my vet on board with something he wasn't familiar with. I was very persistant and finally got the presciption, but I lost valuable time that I can never get back. David and the staff went to great lengths to create the cream as quickly as posssible. I was so grateful, I felt like they were my Angels on earth!! Roxy had not eaten in 3 days by the time I administered the cream on her ear. Within a short time, she was more alert and we could tell that she felt better. She even had some food that day which was astonishing. Her life was cut short by the mass in her abdomen. It was pushing on her spine and must have been causing immense pain. We couldn't let her continue that way. We never had the chance to see what this drug could have done for her if only we had more time. If you have an animal in need, I implore you to try this method of pain relief. There are many other benefits of this drug that you can read about on line or contact the pharmacy like I did. This is a fantastic resource for compounded medications and specifically if you need meds that are free of some common allergens like gluten. The staff is fantastic and has consistently gone above and beyond to take care of us, especially when we make mistakes and forget to call in a refill with advance notice. Don't expect a full retail experience (ie on demand fills all the time etc) as it is a compounding pharmacy but as long as you know that, your expectations should be exceeded. The past two times I have had a prescription filled here it has taken over a week to get it filled and the communication regarding my fills has been sub-par. Yesterday when picking up my prescription after finding out it had been partially filled for multiple days already, I asked about their contact policy regarding reaching a full voicemail-box and the person helping didn't know, but suggested that I call to check in if I don't hear back. I was trying to offer a suggestion, not get feedback on my behavior. I work full time, I have my son more than I don't, 2 dogs, and a SHIT TON on my plate. It is literally their job to fill prescriptions and inform customers when they are full. If your company does not yet have a policy regarding the inability to contact someone, you should devise one. Alternate options: calling again later same day or the next day, emailing the customer, etc. It's not that hard. I was trying to make an unemotional suggestion regarding being out of my medication for multiple days (which hugely impacts both my mood and physical symptoms, since it's a chronic thyroid illness). I did not need feedback that I should call. I know that. I'm not an idiot. I live walking distance from this place, but I am never getting an RX filled with them again. I would rather drive a half hour in traffic to a different compounder if it means better communication and faster fills. And less of a blame-y attitude. read more

This is the closest store to my work. I find this store to have very lazy employees and I find the reason why is the store direstor is slow and very lazy. I would prefer to drive farther. The store is never staffed properly the checkers are always grumpy and the store director is always just walking around in a daze. I would prefer to go into Oregon City where they seem to like their jobs and always are freindly! What a shame in this day and age we as customers have other choices to shop it would be a smart idea to make us ALL happy. read more

I am a naturopathic physician and have used this pharmacy to fill orders for patients. It is a compounding pharmacy so there is always a short turnover time for them to fill an order, but I have always been very pleased with their service. read more

UPDATE: I've been using Fairley's Pharmacy since this post and have had nothing but great experiences with them for my compounded thyroid medication. I have been a customer for a few years. Over the past few months, they have gone from reliable to completely screwing over my health. I've spoken to the owner twice, and this month my script was left sitting for two weeks without being shipped to me and no communication from the pharmacy. I'm sick of this treatment. I'm on thyroid medication which the owner insisted she has told her staff is THE MOST IMPORTANT script they fill. Still this happened and they tried to only offer me 20% off. What a joke. I didn't even get an apology, they just kept telling me "it was filled but I don't know why it wasn't sent out." Very disorganized pharmacy, I'm looking for a new one now and if you are on an important med, I suggest very strongly to look elsewhere also. read more

After not receiving my prescription in the mail a week after my doc called it in, I called them, and they said they hadn't even started it. I told them that I had used the last of the prescription today and needed it tomorrow. The response was little more than indifferent, and the person answering the phone said, "Well, I'll see what I can do," and "We'll do what we can." It was as though she didn't comprehend that there are people (like me) who NEED their medication. I used this pharmacy years ago and they were great. Not feeling too comfortable with them now. I'm thinking about changing to Flander's Pharmacy and seeing how that goes. read more

Negative 52 stars if I could. There are no words for how this place has gone downhill. They used to be consistently dependable and prompt, but in the last couple of years that is not the case. I have used them for many years so I do have lots of experience to draw from. In the last two months I have run out of my prescription waiting for these people to do their job. I don't wait until the last minute -- I call about 7 days in advance since they advertise 2-3 days turnaround. I live in Portland and have a mailman so in theory this should work. Last month their excuse was they merged locations and would be delayed. This month they blamed last weeks snow day and the pharmacists did not come to work. So instead of making up time on Saturday when Portland was in the 40's and the snow was long gone they would rather leave their customers with no medicine. I called today (Tuesday) to check on this and that is what they said. So, why did no you not take care of last weeks prescriptions YESTERDAY? If they manage to somehow get this out today it won't be here until tomorrow (Wednesday) -- 8 days overall since I called, 5 business days. I will have been without my meds for two days by then. The worst was last Christmas season -- taking into consideration the closures for the holiday, weekends and the usual turnaround time I called in my refill appropriately. I kid you not -- it took over 120 business hours to get my refill. There are many more examples of their tardiness. These people do not care about their customers at all. They do not care if you run out of your medicine. In conclusion, this business will never get another dime from me. I am done. read more

The only reason I stick with this place is that I have such bad reactions to the fillers put in medications by places such as Rite-Aid, Walgreens, etc. This pharmacy is pathetic. Each month I start the process of getting my meds one week ahead, because that's the least amount of time it takes. I call it in, then I call my doctor the next day to see if they've been called for a refill. Then I call the pharmacy to ask if they've called the doctor. They often lie and say they have. It's the same damn process every single month. I have told them every month for over a year not to mail me my meds. Why? Because twice they failed to put any postage on the envelope and the meds stayed in the post office for 5 days (over a holiday weekend) and one of the meds needed to be refrigerated and was ruined. They still have the wrong phone number. They do not call the doc unless I hound them every day and tell them I just got off the phone from the doc and they HAVE NOT received a call. They act completely innocent, and so surprised that they have my husband's phone number instead of mine. Each month they say they have "put a note" in my chart to change the number or other changes. Sometimes, without asking, they have had my meds messengered to my house, and the messenger just leaves them on the porch - doesn't bother to knock on the door. Bait And Switch A very pushy salesman quoted me a price of $1 per gram of a topical pain cream. He very insistingly attempted to get my credit card info repeatedly - asserting faster handling, the convenience - yadda yadda. I preferred old fashioned billing/ pay by check simply because I had never dealt with them before. Good thing I was not swayed by the salespersons disingenuous pitch. When the bill arrived, the price had mysteriously jumped to $ 1.50 /gram. Classic bait and switch that would have taken weeks to resolve should I had given these shysters my credit card info. Considering the acumen of this companies sales staff . . . ( ripping off people on fixed incomes ) It is not a stretch to be concerned about the integrity of their products, and just what you are getting ( or not ) in your prescription. RUN, don't walk away from these flim-flam artists that blatantly rob from grandparents. For shame. read more

I tried this compounding pharmacy because I was in hormonal crisis and needed my prescription right away. I figured local must be faster than University Compounding Pharmacy in California I'd been using, because I could pick it up rather than having it shipped. But when I hadn't heard from them for verification for several hours after I knew the prescription had been faxed over, I called to give them my info (this was on a Thursday). They took all my info and then went to see if they'd received the fax; it took quite awhile but she finally came back and said they had it and that it would take 48 hours to fill. I explained that I was in crisis and had chosen them hoping to get the scrip faster and was really disappointed that I'd have to wait that long--oh, and they didn't bother to mention that it would really be 96 hours since the 48th hour falls on a weekend (fortunately I knew they were closed on weekend and pieced it together myself). There was no offer to expedite, but I figured I could hold it together until Monday. She said they'd call when it was ready so I could pick it up. Monday came and went with no call. Late Tuesday morning I still hadn't heard from them so I called. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes (no kidding), they finally told me with no apology whatsoever that it was in the que for today and I could pick it up any time after 2pm. (As an aside, which is not really their problem, if you're not familiar with that area, it's kind of a pain to find too.) Anyway, when I finally found my way there, there was some confusion over where my prescription was; a lab person asked if it was two creams and I said no, two gels, to which she responded she'd made it earlier. They finally found it and I was handed two bags of syringes. I asked where the Topi-click was. She wanted to know if I'd requested that; I told her it was part of the prescription. Another lady came over and explained that they didn't have topi-click, that the click pen they DO have isn't very accurate, and that my doc has given permission in the past to substitute the syringes. This would have been good info to have last Thursday when I could have declined using them, but now I'm so desperate to get my scrips I took their word for it and settled for the syringes. When I mentioned that having to wait so long didn't help, she said matter-of-factly 'it takes 48 hours' and I said the prescription was sent over last Thursday, at which point she said 'we're not open on weekends' and I pointed out that at latest then it should have been ready YESTERDAY. Then she said I should have told them I was in crisis. I explained that I HAD made that quite clear, and she pulled the original paperwork and the person I'd talked to on the phone had added NO notes so she obviously didn't care that I was desperate--probably she is lucky enough not to have a hormone imbalance herself. But then I got home with these hard won treasures, only to discover that the GELS my doc had ordered were filled as CREAMS. Despite my referring to them repeatedly as gels, no-one said a word about the substitution. Maybe the creams are just as good as gels but that's not the point. The point is that these people are not concerned about filling prescriptions AS WRITTEN, or conferring with client before making substitutions, and certainly not about being timely when someone is suffering. Perhaps the end product is perfect quality (I have no way of knowing for sure and haven't used it yet), but for me it's not worth the ridiculous amount of hassle it took to get it. I'm going back to University Compounding Pharmacy in California--it's faster even with the shipping, and they send what the doc orders. Update: I still order out of state, but I've since started using anazaohealth.com . My amazing hormone doc checked them out so I feel confident in their quality, and best of all they are super fast and WAY cheaper than the others I've tried. One prescription that used to cost around $100 is now $24 for 3 times as much!! They typically turn it around in a day or two (although they ask you to give them 72 hours), and you have a variety of shipping choices. Even when I use overnight I come out WAY ahead. read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The incompetence of the staff is appalling. I have had my medicine compounded by them for many years but over the last 6-10 months, they have regularly screwed up with my refills. I have always paed to have them ship my medications to my house, but they keep forgetting and calling me to let me know they are ready for pickup. The most recent time, I spoke with a woman on Thursday after she told me my prescription would be ready for pickup on Friday. I asked her to make sure they always mailed my prescription and to fix their computer notes to correctly show that. She assured me she would do that. Friday I get a call from a man telling me my prescription is ready for pickup. I tell him I "always, always, always" want my medications mailed. He assured me he would update the system and get the prescription shipped out that day via priority mail. Monday I called and left a message asking where the medication was. Today (Tuesday) I am informed by someone from the pharmacy that my medicine was never shipped and they would be sending it via priority mail today. These people are incompetent jokes. read more

I have used this pharmacy for years. They are wonderful--friendly, personal, and knowledgeable. They are very efficient. I just call their refill recording and leave a request at any time of day or night. The only time I had trouble was during their December 2016? move which was immediately followed by several snow and ice storms, and even then they worked weekends to catch up. Compounding prescriptions take longer to make so I try to call a week ahead for refills. A few times I messed up, called at the last minute and told them I get kind of sick without my thyroid. Simply unreliable and if you can't rely on a pharmacy for life-saving medications why would you even use them? I changed my prescriptions to this pharmacy as they're the closest to my home. I called first to setup my account and ensure it would be a smooth transition as I'd seen mixed reviews. Everything seemed fine and they had my info on file. My doctor files my prescription with them and I hear nothing about the order. Days go by and I call to confirm the received it, which they have, but was sent to a different branch as they could not fill it at this location. I was assured it was received and would be coming along. Five days go by, I contact them again and they have no clue, direct me to contact the branch pharmacy where my prescription was sent to directly. I call them and find that they can't fulfill my prescription, my phone number was not included in my file from the other branch so they had no way to contact me and they've been unable to contact this location for the past three days to alert me. I have to order my prescription Fedex overnight from my old pharmacy just to get it in time. Never again. read more

I hurt my back and am unable to take traditional pain medication because it tears me up and gives me a screaming headache. A friend suggested trying pain cream. After talking to my doctor about a prescription, that afternoon she called this pharmacy and spoke to the pharmacist about a good combination of topical medication to try for my particular pain. The prescription was written and I had the prescription the next day. The pharmacist called me before I had actually received the cream and gave a consult over the phone on how to use it for the best results. Of course I had more questions when I got it so I called and they were very friendly. I have continued to get meds through this pharmacy for different things and have always had a great experience.
